I think it's the most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen.

They all look just beautiful.

BalloonSlayer · 20/05/2017 14:03

Oh dear I didn't like it all that much, and I did want to.

I think a neckline that high with a very fitted bodice gives the effect of the boobs being too low (which I am sure they are not IRL).

And the high neckline also emphasises the only bits of flesh on display, which in this case are the arms. I know it's fashionable to have toned arms and to show them off, but to someone of my generation it just makes me think of Popeye.

McTufty · 20/05/2017 14:04

I can honestly say it has never occurred to me to notice the arm holes on a dress.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/05/2017 14:04

Absolutely love the dress - utterly elegant and completely appropriate for a church wedding

It looks as if Kate had a kind of "matron of honour" role after all, from how much she hovered around the bridesmaids and pageboys and her position in the door, adjusting Pippa's train?

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 20/05/2017 14:05

I like Pippa's dress. Very classic and classy rather than the ubiquitous strapless/mermaid jobs. I suspect part of the brief for the dress design was to incorporate an a-line skirt to cover her bum. She's got great toned arms so can carry the cap sleeves and the keyhole detail in the back saves the dress from being too severe. I agree with PP that she's likely to change into something more fun and contemporary for the reception.

I like Kate's dress as well; I think it suits her - although I do wish a decent MUA would break in and steal her kohl pencils and give her a intervention-style lesson on how to apply softer liner!

The steal the show picture though has to be Kate shushing the children. I love it - very natural, quite funny and endearing because it's something that happens at loads of weddings when you have young attendants to wrangle manage.

Dapplegrey2 · 20/05/2017 14:07

Bertrand why do you want Pippa upstaged by the Cambridges?

jimjimjamming · 20/05/2017 14:10

Where's Harry and his +1 ??

MrsCoulter · 20/05/2017 14:18

Really nice dress.

Feel sorry for the page boy apparantly caugh flicking a V on camera. Bet it was just an unfortunate shot as he was scratching his nose or something!

Not keen on the shiny page boy trousers.

TatianaLarina · 20/05/2017 14:19

Beautiful. And loved Kate 40s style dress - when steps away from navy she can look amazing.

lukins66 · 20/05/2017 14:19

Maybe it was Meghan in the helicopter?Smile

RJnomore1 · 20/05/2017 14:22

Don't like it.

There has got to be a fashion middle ground between Middleton and kardashian surely?

mumofthemonsters808 · 20/05/2017 14:38

Beautiful, one of the nicest dresses I've ever seen.

Mrsmadevans · 20/05/2017 14:39

Not keen on any of the outfits the guests are wearing (women) the men look very smart . Pippa's dress ......yuk....Kate looks like a matron in hers and her mother looks very washed out in her outfit. The flowers are too small but on a good note the pages and flower girls look beautiful....shame about the rest of them. What happened to Miss Markle?

Bibs2014 · 20/05/2017 14:43

Her waist is tiny! I think she looks lovely.

crunched · 20/05/2017 14:49

Hate that I'm even reading this but...
dress is timeless, arms are Tyson.
Mrs Federer and Donna A look fabulous.
Carol Middleton has great legs - where can I get tights like that?
Surely the page boy flicking the V is the prince? Maybe just looks identical in my untrained ( but unfortunately, as I have shown by commenting, must be interested) eyes?

FunkinEll · 20/05/2017 14:49

I really like it. I think she looks beautiful. I love a high neck line.

ScarletForYa · 20/05/2017 14:50

It's very similar to Kate's.

Nice enough.

Her arms are very sinewy though.

QueenoftheAndals · 20/05/2017 14:51

The dress is McFly, I love that neckline. Kate's dress is elegant too but as usual she's dressed about 20 years older than she actually is!

QueenoftheAndals · 20/05/2017 14:52

Gah, dress is lovely, not McFly!

PurpleDaisies · 20/05/2017 14:52

I thought mcfly was new slang for really nice!

QueenoftheAndals · 20/05/2017 14:53

Maybe I'll try and make that happen Purple Grin

PurpleDaisies · 20/05/2017 14:54

I'll help-I'm a teacher so I reckon I can bribe some students to start using it. If I do it it'll never take off because I'm not cool enough. Grin

ilovewelshrarebit123 · 20/05/2017 14:55

She looks beautiful and the dress is gorgeous but it's too long and needed to be a bit shorter.

TizzyDongue · 20/05/2017 14:56

Just clicked through the pictures in the telegraph link on this thread; some of the guests' outfits are, erm, interesting.

Pippa and Catherine both stunning. Though I think they usually do: even in an outfit some seem to call fuddy-duddy and older than her years Catherine looks good.

Carole Middleton's outfit doesn't look the best colour for her in the photo (nor does the brother's outfit) but it might be ok IRL or a different light.

CaveMum · 20/05/2017 14:58

@crunched, if you look at this picture George is at the front and the other boy is behind him.

Pippa's dress!
