Has anyone bought the Boden slim jeans...or are there any other flattering dark denim straight cuts out there?

Hi, have begun to feel frumpy in my boot cuts, would like some straighter cut but really dark denim jeans for spring. Would like a lightweight denim in a really dark blue with a bit of stretch in it. Saw some nice Great Plains ones in a local shop (in size 8 ) but they are not on the website. The Boden ones look OK but not sure. I'm 5'8" and a size 14 bottom half (but getting smaller!)

Oh, Cod, bought a load of size 12 tops today - all quite roomy! Hooray! And a size 12 Whistles skirt that is a little large around the waist...

Can't help with Boden jeans, but French Connection jeans are great for tall women (normally a little long on me & I am 5'6") & they are normally a good fit.

The pic is awful, isn't it! The legs are triangular. The fabric and colour is good, but not sure if the bottom half is too unforgiving...

Telegraph pronounces on jeans: jeans article . From memory the Gap skinny jeans are not too tight, and they have something called a demi bootcut which is slim-cut but still with a bit of flare at the bottom (although possibly a bit low in the rise).

Will second French Connection jeans, never looked so svelte in all my life, and hurrah for long length jeans!

I got Gap Skinny a couple of weeks ago but they are more of a slim straight cut than clingy 80s stylee

French Connection jeans are very flattering aren't they, MrsMills?! I have around 4 pairs, but have to wear heels when I wear them, as they're a little long!

I have always bought Gap jeans because of the multitude of sizes and I am awkward to fit being rather vertically challenged. They do a good range of shapes and styles which are worth trying out.

Beware, though! I have found that they can vary from pair to pair, never mind style to style. I bought some 'Long and Lean' (!) last year which are fine when I first put them on after the wash, but are the least flattering pair of jeans after a few hours wear - they go a bit baggy on the bum and thigh and just look dumpy. I had a pair the year before though which gave me a 'killer ass!' and it's not often I can say that! They split at the knee eventually, and not wanting to look like a saddo bros fan I relegated them to 'painting and decorating' clothing, so they now also have many paint splashes in addition to the ripped knee. So if you need a good pair of jeans for '80s night...

They may have some darker ones in store, Aloha. They had some darker ones in my local FC, and they were reduced, so I guess they were the winter stock.
