There is NO WAY that I'm posting a pic of me in it.

Awww. Go on! Go on! Go on! Go on! Go on! Go on!

Bluntness100 · 05/05/2017 18:45

I have to admit I do like a bit of palm print but not that..,please. 😂😂😂

Can we have a thread where folks try on hideous outfits and post pics?

Bluntness100 · 05/05/2017 18:49

I work for M&S you wouldn't believe how many calls we've taken from ladies wanting that dress!

I suspect they are having a laugh, especially since the shops are flooded with them. 😂

QueenofLouisiana · 05/05/2017 18:53

I saw that dress in an advert or something and the back looked quite nice (the colour looked more...erm...muted). Then I saw it IRL- my eyes!!!

Rinkydinkypink · 05/05/2017 19:00

This is the best! They all look horrific. Those mules are horrible. What's with flammable shapeless with ruffles!

I laughed so hard yesterday when the BBC were discussing why takings in high street shops were down.....yet they'd all sold out of the basics ranges such as t-shirts. I though to myself ....mumsnets knows!

SnickersWasAHorse · 05/05/2017 19:05

If it makes the model look like a sack of crap then there is no hope for the rest of us.

ArseyTussle · 05/05/2017 19:36

God, those pyjamas are amazing. It's like DFS have started making loungewear.

MaQueen · 05/05/2017 19:37

I recall I wore something almost identical in colour & cut as I was wheeled into theatre to give birth to DD1...

Is Pre-Op Attaire a thing now Hmm

ErrolTheDragon · 05/05/2017 22:46

I've figured out where you'd wear that dress. It's specifically designed for attending the wedding of someone you really dislike, so you ruin all their photos and you can smuggle lots of extra cake out in the pockets, and a bottle of prosecco up each sleeve.

Gingernaut · 05/05/2017 23:31

Mumsnut Good spot!

However, the back is a huge long zip running the entire length of the dress.

Why M&S decided to add a huge V which shows off your underwear and make it out of polyester crimplene without a hint of narural fibres is anyone's guess. Confused

problembottom · 06/05/2017 00:00

Ginger I can't stop laughing at you in that dress. It's the sleeves and the length. Bloody brilliant.

No one could look good in that dress!

Akire · 06/05/2017 00:28

Best thread I've seen in ages! Did you try and sit down in it? Instead of skipping through medows like the model? The long neck ties would have me choking self everytime I tried to get up like a pink dog leash.

I spend most time agog in shops at what expect average joe blogs to wear. Sometimes I think if I found myself naked in middle of marks I still struggle to clothe myself. not counting 3 days in bra section and failing find one that fits

KickAssAngel · 06/05/2017 00:46

Ginger either that tropical print works as camouflage, or you lost bout 20 stones between the pink dress and the tropical one. No, wait - it's because the pink dress is made to accommodate an entire football team, and the half time oranges.

AnarchyKitty · 06/05/2017 08:27

I have just snorted tea out my nose.
I think I love you!

mammmamia · 06/05/2017 10:10

Brillant thread, yy to ginger starting a blog!
And whoever said that the dress is supposed to make you want to buy naice ham... Grin

GlitterGlue · 06/05/2017 10:13

The photos are brilliant.

I saw it in a shop window yesterday. Alongside some male mannikins looking rather dapper, which just made it look even worse.

TheHiphopopotamus · 06/05/2017 10:34

YY to ginger starting a blog. It'd be a lovely antidote to all the fashion bloggers and Instagrammers at the moment.

I quite like the palm print trend but I prefer it as cushions and duvet covers. Hadn't realised it had spread to clothes as well Confused Great for if you find yourself doing a recce in the jungle though 👍

Gingernaut · 06/05/2017 10:56

This time I'm wearing foundation garments and picked a size 14.

The static is crackling and even though I brought my own slip, it's clinging at the back and won't let go.

Nope.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/05/2017 11:02

As a little girl in the 60s and 70s I had nighties a lot like that, bought from my mum's Littlewoods catalogue. Lots and lots of static. (Thank goodness we didn't have open fires.)

That has to be one of the most hideous garments I've ever seen. What are M&S thinking of?

Gingernaut · 06/05/2017 11:06

I tried this on as well.

Boat neckline (so strapless bra), no sleeves (muscular upper arms or cardigan) and big gaping armholes showing off the upper chest and bra.

I love the print and like the length but it's unwearable without a close fitting vest. Not buying this either.

Gingernaut · 06/05/2017 11:08

Picture. Sorry.

Bluntness100 · 06/05/2017 11:11

Gimgernaut you're definetly brightening up my morning. I think uou need to go down to size eight in it...

Gingernaut · 06/05/2017 11:16

Nope.

I think I've done my bit. Grin

I'm trying to lose weight but I've lost my weightloss mojo recently.

I am a 14-16. The dress is ridiculously sized and looks like it was made for a drag queen gospel choir.

I'm in Marks. I am trying hard to like something but the designers or buyers seem to have taken mind altering substances. Confused

Bluntness100 · 06/05/2017 11:18

Oh cmon,,,see how far down uou need to go to get one of those dresses to fit,,,please? In the name of research?
