Is this dress really awful?

The colour is one of my best and I need a long dress (that I'll never wear again) for a do. I bought this from another site where the only picture was the front view of the dress without model and thought it would do for the price.

Now I've seen the side with the split and the zip and the fact that it even makes the model look lumpy I'm not so sure. I'm 5'7" , 47yo, size 10 (although have ordered a Jane Norman 12) and properly fit and toned, even if I say so myself

Dress code requires closed shoes so I can wear tights to help with the leg situation and smooth any bumps. What do you think?

I’d say it’s very low cut to the busy on the side. If you have sell boobs then maybe. If you need a strapless bra it will probably show above the dress. As will any underwear including the bra. You might get away with Spanx if the waist isn’t too tight but then they might show beneath the split.

To be completely honest I think it’s a cheap looking dress which is fine on under 25s but above 40 and it’s really pushing it. Also the lack of detail and lining will make it exceptionally hard to pull off. But you could give it a go. It’s not the worst drsss but it’s far from the best. In my humble opinion.

I have one similar to the bonprix suggested by a pp.It will dress up with heels or I can wear it for normal day to day with flats
