Oh, hooray, MrsS, I was hoping one of my Crepey S&B chums would sign up and join me. Yes, let's meet up and travel together. The Northern Line is my best travel option - I could hop out in your manor, then hop back on with you?

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 11:16

My fatface jeans have arrived. They are HUGE and thus v comfortable. I shall ask DD1 what she thinks of them.

bigTillyMint · 05/05/2017 11:38

Thanks for thinking of me Lalsy. I'm feeling a bit better today, mainly because I am not feeling so tired!

MI glad you got to speak to your DP. Don't let him bully you.

Addle hope you got out in the sun ad it seems to have gone in now.

MollyMugwump · 05/05/2017 11:40

I dreamt about you last night, BTM! You were being lovely, as usual. For once MrsS wasn't in my dream. Grin

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 11:41

As long as you weren't nekkid chez Herbs who didn't even lend me a dressing-gown....

bigTillyMint · 05/05/2017 11:54
Grin

I am having all sorts of weird dreams. Anxiety based, I think!

MollyMugwump · 05/05/2017 12:30

When did you have that, MI? Is that about having exposed yourself on-thread? I quite often have nekkid dreams and I generally try to grab other people's duvets to drape about my ample self.

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 12:47

No, it was an actual dream. And it was a party, of course.

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 12:48

I have returned those jeans for a size I would never normally fit into.Grinoh yes I am minute, you know...

bigTillyMint · 05/05/2017 12:53

I'm liking the sound of the fat face jeans!

hattymattie · 05/05/2017 13:01

I can never remember my dreamsSad.

I like Fat Face but I discovered that it is for crepies - according to MN.

Have had gourmet lunch with DH - the best bit was the caramel fondant - fine dining is wasted on me!

herbaceous · 05/05/2017 13:01

Sorry about the dressing gown MI. I've got loads you could have chosen from.

As predicted by BTM, my heart is softening towards Vast Romanian. I just gave him some 1-2-1 help with super-basic English (spelling 'is', for example) and not only did he do it, but also thanked me. I got a glow. He may well be just playing me, as they do, but for now a tiny 'aww'.

herbaceous · 05/05/2017 13:02

In S&B news, I am dressed mostly by Tu, but have had s number of 'props' for my outfit. Concluding that it's all in the shoes. Today: pewter tasseled loafers.

MrsWobble3 · 05/05/2017 13:19

Hola crepes! I am typing this from my semi-recumbent position lolling on a yacht! What a life! I am watching dh toiling away bailing the bilges as the bilge pump has decided not to work - there's always something that breaks or stops. Dh is grateful for my company and knows better than to expect me to help with such back breaking tasks as bailing so I am here with my iPhone and my book. The only downer is that it is spitting with rain so I am not able to lounge on deck in the sunshine which would be preferable. I am trying very hard not to think about 3dds with exams or my team at work who I have rather dumped on as both those thoughts are rather guilt inducing. I will sort them out on Monday. Hope you all have a good weekend.

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 14:12

Ooh, MrsW! How very fab.

Just had phone call from one of DD2's teachers about how sullen she is in class...Angry

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 15:05

Am writing a feature on donating your body to medical research. IIRC didn't a crepey parent do this...?

Auriga · 05/05/2017 15:07

My DM went through all the formalities but then died not only on a bank holiday but during the university vacation, so they couldn't take her.

NUFC69 · 05/05/2017 15:14

MrsW, sounds lovely. DH is still cycling around Majorca- he says controlling the bunch (cycling term) is like herding cats! Still no sign of his phone.

MI, does DD have something preying on her mind? Well done in confronting DP, by the way.

How are the DSs, BTM, BD and Rudy? I can only imagine the stress you are going through.

I like the sound of the caramel fondant, Hatty. And on the subject of puds, I have just made a Nutella cheesecake to a recipe (or really just words) from a DFr. I now feel rather sick from licking out the bowl. Blush I don't think I have ever bought Nutella before. Will report back as it really is incredibly simple.

motherinferior · 05/05/2017 15:39

I think she just dislikes the Latin teacher. Which is fine - I'm not that keen on her either - but it's not on to be rude.

Thank you, Auriga.

magimedi · 05/05/2017 16:06

Drum roll - am returned from a victorious (if exhausting) shoppping trip.

I don't care if Fat Face is for crepies - I am one & was delighted with THIS dress - especially as it was in the sale.

And then on to TKMaxx for This one

And This skirt - The Emma stretch Twill in royal blue - looks much better than the picture.

I also went to Gap, H&M, Debenhams, White Stuff.............

I can't believe how many shops have gone & now become Pret/Costa or cafes. East, Schoon and quite a few others.

magimedi · 05/05/2017 16:20

Just checked the results of the local elections. Very pleased to see the independent in our area got in - he is great.

Massively depressed to see that the turnout was 37% - I despair.

hattymattie · 05/05/2017 16:21

Very good haul MM, well done.

I have been do have my hair done - it is in it's newly blow dried swishy phase. Am going to see DS in Grease tonight. I have knots in my stomach.

IDismyname · 05/05/2017 16:31

I'm wearing a merino top today, with vest underneath! I could see my breath outside at 8am yesterday morning. Warm IT IS NOT.

MI - Hope you can put 'BlindGate' behind you and move onwards and upwards.

MrsW - I was like this Envy reading the first sentence of your post. Then you got onto pumping bilges, and I realised why we don't have a yacht Grin. Hope weather improves for you.

I feel rather untethered with no academic year this year, to mark the passing of time. However, I haven't forgotten the pain and angst, the weeping and wailing of tears. I am with you in spirit, Crepeys.

DS has abandoned plans to go and ride across The Pond, due to friend he was planning on going with having broken a bit of his anatomy. Also coupled with the fact that DS has not earned nearly enough to support a transatlantic flight with bike etc.etc. He's looking at European biking destinations, so suspect he'll be somewhere in The Alps for a month or two. Makes the whole hospital scenario (which WON'T HAPPEN) a little easier. You learn that its not 'IF' but 'WHEN' in this sport. Sigh.

In other news, DBro and SiL have sent me another lovely book about design. I am one happy bunny.

And Ocado have sent me a huge bag of spuds which I never ordered.

CointreauVersial · 05/05/2017 17:43

A bag of spuds? Tesco once sent me an entire boxload that wasn't mine, including two whole chickens and a sack of frozen sausages. I actually had to donate some to the neighbours because I didn't have room in my fridge/freezer for it all. Tesco wouldn't come back and get it.

Another GCSE in the bag - Drama is done and dusted at last! DD1 was glassy-eyed and dead on her feet after a whole day of performing/watching.

I had one of "those days" at work. I called the vehicle tracker company to complain that one of our trackers wasn't reporting any vehicle movements. I then called the driver to find out where he was; he replied "Lanzarote". That would explain why his van hadn't moved all week. Blush Then I called Argos to shout at them because part of something I ordered was missing from the box, only to spot it, mid-rant, nestled in a corner. Blush Blush The last hour in the office was spent assembling some patio furniture - our office leads onto a splendid roof terrace, and now we have somewhere to sit during sunny lunchtimes.

herbaceous · 05/05/2017 17:47

Flipping heck, crepeys. Portfolio career madness. Day of teaching crazy teens, pick up DS from childminder, on phone to magazine client and boss re ever fluctuating editorial plan, have to come up with budget and freelancers, cook dinner for DS, go out on lash with NCT ladies. Then off to a housewarming in Hampshire for most of the weekend. As well as marking books for teaching job and planning lessons and making ed plan. Then back to coal face on Monday. Nearly at Stropps-level busy-ness.

Ooooooffffff.....

Jealous of your patio furniture making, CV. I love a flat pack.
