Damn you, autocorrect and your feeble attempts at proofreading my splendid textual output. It was opps, not oops. I shall turn off autocorrect, and then I will glory in the splendour of all my very own errors.

Stropperella · 26/04/2017 22:21

Magi, I am sending a pm!! Smile

addle · 26/04/2017 22:24

good news about the vision cremo! still take it easy
thanks for bbh recs, crepeys. bought one! does seem to be v good
lalsy - link works thank you
mm - are you going to put your 50 meals on it or shall i pm you?

mi, think either jeans or red dress would look fab. maybe start with the shoes you want to wear for the weather?

Lalsy · 26/04/2017 22:26

Hi, think I have PM'd everyone back (Magi, I emailed you in reply to your original PM so maybe it went astray). Folder only has the recipes in there at the moment, so do add anything whenever suits.

Stropps, Netflix has great restorative powers for dragon-slayers. Hope you are fully buckled into your chainmail, sorry to hear about this week.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 26/04/2017 22:27

Have pmed you MM my email. This was for the recipe ideas wasn't it - worried now I have gatecrashed some other emailing that has nothing to do with me! Ignore me if so.

MrsWobble3 · 26/04/2017 23:02

Do any of you read the Times? If you do, any views on the left hand dress on the cover of Times2. I was admiring it and dh got out his Amex, gave me his iPhone and told me to find it! He's been out for drinks after work this evening - I must bear his diary in mind next time I fancy new clothing.

ohnonotme · 26/04/2017 23:05

Sounds like a winner, MrsW.... can you do a link?

I need to go to bed, but I'm catching up on Made in Chelsea Blush

Montypulciano · 27/04/2017 06:56

Morning. Trying to keep up but not really managing.

Mrs w, could you load a pic of the dress please? Times is behind a paywall so can't see.

Yes please to crepey recipe thing. Will pm address.

Crem, hope you got some sleep and have another day of r and r planned.

Sorry to hear the DSs are struggling a little, Btm and beachy. Thinking of you both. Also sending love to all handholding parents of exam candidates.

Here dd1 anxious again but manageable. Doesn't say she hates school and even has made another new friend. Baby steps. Other two plodding along.

Hope to catch up properly soon. Sending love to you all Flowers

motherinferior · 27/04/2017 06:57

Shoes will almost certainly be gazelles.GrinI like that look with long dresses because BTM works it really well.

Ladyjog. Hardly left the house yesterday. And wasn't as productive as I'd have liked in consequence. Is it only Thursday???

Blackduck · 27/04/2017 07:13

Like Monty failing to keep up and not really coping ATM, but thinking of you all and sending big {{}} CakeFlowersGinBrewWineas required (hastily skims over Crems eye op..)

BTM, MI, MrsS (and anyone else) 5.00 in the usual place tomorrow? (Friday)

bigTillyMint · 27/04/2017 07:48

Yes, yes, BD - I am thirsty already!

Haha, MI, when I read Addles comment about shoes, I immediately thought Converse, but if I had Gazelles, it would be themGrin

IDismyname · 27/04/2017 07:50

Sorry can't make MU tomorrow. Have an old NCT get together at local curry house. DH supposed to be coming. There will be a wailing and a gnashing of teeth, I tell you.

However, Colly and I are meeting up locally for a spot of lunch today. Probably no DnS's consumed, but plenty of coffee and a dissection of world news and crappy husbands

Saw an old friend yesterday whom I haven't seen for about a year. Her DH lost his job a few months ago, and he's hit the bottle hard. She has 2 tinies at home, and is holding the fort. Bless her. Life is so awful for so many of us, and until you scratch the surface, you'd never know.

It is cold cold cold here. Picked some asparagus yesterday and cooked it last night. It turned to mush. Now I know why. It was 'previously frozen ' asparagus...

I'm going to have to make soup with the remainder.

Lalsy and MM you should have heard from me.

Lalsy · 27/04/2017 07:58

It was jolly difficult to leave the house yesterday I found....with icy hail randomly appearing.

If the drive links works for people we could just put the recipe lists there and Magi doesn't have to send out lots of emails?

Monty, that's great about another friend - anxiety is so hard for a parent to watch and to know how best do help with. Sometimes with dd, I didn't know whether talking about things made it better or worse - I am usually a great believer in talking stuff through.

Yes please to seeing the dress, MrsW.

Crem, hope you feeling a bit better today.

IDismyname · 27/04/2017 08:18

Quick question:

Does anyone have a dress (or dresses) from Katya Wildman? The Bombshell Dress?

They look ££ but rather lovely. Need posh frock for smart daytime do in June, and I'm thinking that a dress w sleeves would be cheaper than shift dress and frock coat combo. At least you'd see a semblance of my waist.

MrsWobble3 · 27/04/2017 09:31

www.winserlondon.com/dresses/miracle-colour-block-fitted-shift-dress.html

For those who asked, this should be the dress I think.

motherinferior · 27/04/2017 09:42

Oh, that is very you, MrsW. You will look fantastic in it.

I just fell asleep.BlushBlushI was meant to be writing. I shall now force myself to do some paid work and arrange a lunchtime nap as am clearly in need of it. In my defence I have had a series of disturbed nights: after DD1's appearance in the small hours of Tuesday, I woke up at 3am on Wednesday to the realisation DP was presumably away for work all night (I'd thought he was coming back from York) and texted him, and then this morning at around the same time when I staggered to the loo I realised that various things had flashing lights, so had to log onto computer and switch it off again.

Put like that I don't feel quite so pathetic!

magimedi · 27/04/2017 09:43

MrsWobble - I think that dress is gorgeous - so much so I've bookmarked the page as I like a lot of the other stuff as well. stuff

MrsSchadenfreude · 27/04/2017 09:43

Don't think I can get there till 6 tomorrow, but trust you won't have left by then. Bitch of a week at work, and going very slowly.

Lalsy · 27/04/2017 09:49

Ooh that is lovely, MrsW. Which colour?

Cloud, lovely bombshell dresses too. I take it they are not held together by the tie? [those of sensitive dispositions may wish to look away now - I am wary after childhood incident involving tied at waist games skirt becoming attached to goalpost instead of to me - leaving me in large baggy turquoise nylon pants in front of various parents].

MrsWobble3 · 27/04/2017 10:12

I've ordered the Stone/black colour. I wasn't sure but dh thought it was the best and 'would look good with a tan' so I'm assuming the Amex will also provide some sunshine if the UK summer does not.

Thanks for the endorsements.

Cremolafoam · 27/04/2017 11:14

Lol to turquoise knicker disaster Lalsy. But many thanks for the one drive. It's working perfectly for me. I will upload the University funds planner.
Will speak to dd today about money. She is also a parsimonious soul , but deprives herself of ridiculous things ( bed sheets) to have enough for a gig ticketHmm
Eye sore and weepy today, but sight improving in slow increments. Still using glasses though.

Mrs W, lovely frock in the beige and black. Looks like the shaping would be excellent on you.Smile
Can we have a link Cloud, to the miracle frocks you mention. Could use a miracle right now.
Am considering Joe Wicks -anyone any previous on this regime?

Addle , am nearly there with Galician stuff. Thinking about Santiago and looking at photos to remind meGrin it's lovely,

OP posts:
Cremolafoam · 27/04/2017 11:17

Herbs how goes it?
Mrs S , sorry you are having a horrid time.
Bd , hope a d&s will distract from feeling sad. Thinking of you Flowers

OP posts:
herbaceous · 27/04/2017 11:33

Hello all.

Crem - I have the Joe Wicks book, and have done one of his exercises and one of his recipes. Oddly, I am not yet svelte.

I am also not cycling or 5:2ing today, as it's too cold to cycle and I'm too tired to fast, as BLOODY DP snored solidly from 11.30 to 1.30 last night, despite numerous kickings and taserings by me, and I could hear it even through my industrial strength wax ear plugs. I then didn't sleep very well as was worried said earplugs would stop me hearing the alarm.

Shame I can't do D&Ss tomorrow, but as I may have mentioned (a gazillion times) we're going to Paris as DS is singing in Notre Dame, and Le Madeleine. I am going to cry, especially during Locus Iste.

Paris-dwellers, or Crem - what should we do when not admiring choirboys? Considering we may be with friends, and it will probably involve small children. Not the Louvre, please.

wordassociationfootball · 27/04/2017 12:39

The Place Des Voges seems to make children want to play, Herbs. Mostly long-jumpy style in the sandy bits.

Mrs W, that dress is top notch wowzer (although watching vid I thought, lord that model is giving it the hip schlumph, has she had a large glass of pinot and also, why do we have to see zips?)

Cloud, I think the Bombshells look well worth investigating. Closest I've got is an ice blue double jersey wrappish one from Baukjen (before they went spindly and meh).

Stropps - I wish I could don your clown shoes and kick your map dragons in the slats.

I have a BBH although it rotates very slowly these days.
Addle - is the fringe still annoying you, or is it behaving? Side ones can be an irritant at the wrong length.

I'm having pappy sleeps this last fortnight. Enough already.

Decided that even the money goes up on that job, that because of the cultural and language differences (all contribs non-UK, one group with v different approach, translation at each stage) it doesn't sound fun enough. Great thing to come out of it is that nice colleague would be v up for putting ourselves out as a team, which could work very well.

Am waiting for agreement from the peeps who let me do that different work (deliberately vague/outing self paranoia) to put them as references in a mail out offering myself as such. All this talk of uni fees has put a bit of a (bit of a) roar in my engine.

Rosebag · 27/04/2017 12:52

This is an MU I don't know about...although I haven't been able to do Fri night ones so it's academic. Must escape to these D&Ss sometime! In fact I'm going tomorrow early doors to the flat for the bank hol weekend ...driving solo as DD has had a late notice college session put in last minute, so she and DH will be training it down in the evening.

Had a sad little text from DS2 yesterday (having once again failed his driving test for the umpteenth time...) to ask if he wanted to last minute, get a train to the flat sometime at the weekend, could he. Poor boy...'darling it's your home....you don't need to ask' I said. Apparently his flat mates are all disappearing off... I have a work meeting booked in the Sussex area Fri afternoon so quite pleased not to have DD lolling around.

Crem that procedure sounded awful. Sorry I made light of it...just that DM said it was unremarkable from her POV. Flowers

Waving at monty and BD xxx

BTM I'm glad that DS seems to be holding his own even though progress seems frustratingly elusive. Beachy Sad do you need another restorative coffee in Ch?

Oh waf I'm sorry the promise of an exciting gig has evaporated somewhat. Is there no hope? Flowers

Lovely frock MrsW you will look tres chic. Was it for a formal occasion or work?

Mm would also like the 50 recipes...are we posting them somewhere or shall I PM email?

MrsS how are things with DM?

Rudy where are you...are you ok, Chuck?

Reasons to be cheerful...

One. Lucrative client has asked for a third lot of 12 sessions and will again pay in advance.

Two. New class starting tonight and with a couple of very late bookings is now full.

Three. Sussex T minus 24 hours

Four. Austerity eating going well...bloat is receding and even my knees feel less tight. Today I have had smoked salmon and cott cheese for breakfast and a veggie omelette and salad, no dressing for lunch. Will need some kind of austerity gag in Sussex to stop me having my usual scone and cream orgy.. Shock Grin
