Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Liberty want me to send u my DVF clutch, you could return it on 8/8?

Off out tonight. Same outfit as for concert lazy black lace blouse , dark wash jimmies. Added my claret Pour la Victoir courts v high instead of predictable black because I never wear them. Feeling tall Smile

MarshaBrady · 13/05/2017 21:07

Hello my lovelies!

I've been missing you all BIG time. Have had an intense last few weeks. But am now back in the room Grin (as they say at work)

Ok now to read

libertydoddle · 13/05/2017 21:34

Yay Marsha. Good to have you back.

Dry if you are sure you won't need it in the interim that would be fantastic. Thank you Flowers

Dreamqueen · 13/05/2017 22:02

Glad you're back Marsha. Wink

shopafrolic · 14/05/2017 08:38

Random post of the day. If any of you have an Office shoes store near you and would be willing to pick something up for me and post it to me (I will obviously pay you straight away) then please PM me your nearest store. Thanks :)

Well 4" stilettos and gravel driveways are a very bad combo....................

kittyhello · 14/05/2017 09:49

Hey Marsha lovely too see you back on here. Morning everyone.

Felt optimistic yesterday and ordered these, they popped up on my Pinterest,
ochre sandals
They're ridiculously cheap, obviously mmf but for that price I'm willing to give them a go providing they don't look too plastic fantastic Grin

AmberNectarine · 14/05/2017 10:22

Oh God, WHY? I have glandular fever and I'm moving TOMORROW. Why?

libertydoddle · 14/05/2017 18:04

Oh no. Poor you Amber Shock

What happened to your feet dry? 4inch stilettos on any kind of surface wouldn't work for me Grin

Sandals look good kitty. That said I have tried and returned a few pairs of M&S sandals lately as they did look cheap IRL.

DryWhiteagainW · 14/05/2017 19:42

Actually probably 3", just b ungainly walking to the door trying to look elegant

Dreamqueen · 14/05/2017 19:49

Shop. I've got one near me. Romford. Willing to collect and repost If you want me to let me know. I've collected from there before and will have to collect in my name

queencerulean · 14/05/2017 19:56

amber hope you feel better soon
lib I'm not a fan of clutches either unless they have a wrist strap.
Good to see you again marsha

I've been on a spring clear out frenzy lately and have been spending far too much money on stuff that I don't need for the house. Also been sorting out my wardrobe and selling off bits that don't work anymore (e.g. a much loved fatface blouse but has faded a little and no longer a lovely dark navy shade) and the river island jeans that sag. Tomorrow is the job of going through the rest of my jeans. I've put on about half a stone since autumn (I blame the hrt) but have been working hard lately to lose it (5lbs lost-yay!). My shape has changed though and my middle is definitely wider and I need higher waisted jeans (which I used to hate) so some of my beloved gap ones no longer fit right.

Talk to me about handbag storage for those of you with lots of bags....I tend to stick to one or two bags mainly because my others are in their dust bags in the wardrobe and it's a case of out of sight, out of mind. I've been trying to use a couple more different ones but they're all starting to pile up on the banister!

Everyonelovessparkles · 14/05/2017 20:46

queenc I don't have loads of bags but have a fair few. I keep a couple of bags I use regularly at hand (a longchamp Pilage and a cross body fossil). The others are all in my wardrobe in dust bags by i do use them depending on my outfit. I just get the relevant bag out in the morning when I'm getting ready eg my navy coach hobo, my black Bayswater, my tan mulberry, my grey radley tote etc Then I just have relevant things out on the kitchen counter to throw into the bag (purse, pen, lipstick etc) Well done on your clear out!

Oh no amber. Hope you aren't feeling too bad.

these sandals arrived yesterday. I think they'll be pretty useful and they're comfy even if they're not overly exciting!

A pretty quiet weekend here. Weather still hit and miss. Hope you've all had a good one.

Longislandicetee · 15/05/2017 09:01

Morning! Can't believe how rubbish the weather is today! We had a family celebration yesterday and were very lucky with the weather as we did a bbq in the garden. I wore this McQueen dress with Carvela sparkly flats, lots of Boodles bling and this swarovski watch. Fantastic day but I am so exhausted today!

Amber I am thinking of you. Please try and take it easy even though you're moving. I had a bout of glandular fever which I powered through, except I didn't and paid the price for the next 2 years. You really need to rest.

QueenC, I have one or two bags.Wink I keep them in their dustbags but they're organised by colour so eg all my black bags are together and all my tan ones together. The only ones I separate are my evening bags which are all together.

Stokey · 15/05/2017 09:30

PM Shop

Good luck today Amber, hope you get through it, glandular fever is not nice.

shopafrolic · 15/05/2017 09:41

Morning all. Am debating drive to Camden this morning to try these boots on. It's wet and rainy. Not sure I can be bothered.......
I want one of these to store my handbags in. I only have about 5 designer ones - I keep them in dust bags but laid flat at the moment.

Longislandicetee · 15/05/2017 10:10

Shop is it in my local store? If so I can get them for you?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/05/2017 10:36

Shop I don't have the store near me :( hope you can get them somehow and that they are perfect.

Intrigued by your lakeland link, I clicked and it cracked me up Grin "Prevents precarious stacks of bakeware handbags" it's a really good idea though!

Amber also thinking of you. I know it must seem like you can't, but like Blingy says please try to rest and do as little as possible. It seems like yesterday I had GF but it was actually 18 months ago... it still affects me from time to time when I get a random virus. Last week I had a sore eye for a few days followed by a 5 day headache and intense tiredness. Luckily this is happening less and less for me, but please look after yourself once you've got through today Flowers I needed a month off work, please don't go back til you're better.

Finally went to Gucci yesterday and got 2 more holes put in my belt, now wearing it on my waist yay!

queencerulean · 15/05/2017 10:40

everyone you're more organised and less lazy than me. I can't be arsed with getting out of dustbags/cupboard every morning. I need to give myself a kick up the arse though otherwise my lovely bags don't get used.
shop would a train not be better than driving in? You need to do it otherwise you'll be forever thinking about them.

Horrible and wet here today. Still in mud splattered sports gear.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 15/05/2017 11:20

Shop I did have a look in my local shop yesterday but no joy. Do they have them in stock in Camden?

I've been stalking these boots online since trying them on in store and leaving them, they popped back into stock in my size today so are now on their way to me...totally inappropriate for the season (having said that it is raining here again) but I love them!

I like your new Next beach bag Lib, am tempted to get it too.

I saw this one in JL too recently and it looks nice though a bit impractical with the small strap.

Everyone your sandals link didn't work for me.

I don't have any designer bags so just keep them in the wardrobe but I usually rotate after a few months depending on season / mood.

Dream I meant to ask what skincare you bought from Superdrug? I'm always interested in skincare recs.

Marsha welcome back.

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/05/2017 12:35

boring up useful sandals here's the sandals link again though they're not very interesting Grin

Your BBQ outfit sounds great blingy, you are really getting the value out of that lovely dress.

Glad you got the belt sorted blair. I think I need a new jeans belt. The one I have is a medium and I have it on one of the last holes but the flap is getting on my nerves.

I'm looking for a holiday bag. I really like these personalised baskets as a handbag for evening on holiday but they are £££. Though if I get something cheaper I know I will still lust for one of these so not sure whether to just go for it. If I don't order soon though, it won't come in time for my holiday so then I'll have ages to dwell on it again.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 15/05/2017 12:57

hello all!

amber i knwo you're moving but please please PLEASE get as much rest as you can. you will really need it to fight off the GF and overdoing it will just set you back. Take care of yourself and REST!

i don't really have many bags, I've got two designer bags but they are in dust bags and havent been used since last year. I have a cath kidston bag i use a lot as it's so handy with all it's pockets and it's just the right size for everyday. I do have other bags i rotate through though, i just don't have loads!

Still not been shopping, just don't have the mojo for it plus everything int he shops seems horrible and in totally the wrong colours for me

Dreamqueen · 15/05/2017 12:57

Bernice I bought a selection from the Superdrug Vitamin E range, plus this face oil Haven't used it before but seen it mentioned in S&B before. I usually use Pure range from M&S but fancied a change.

hope you're feeling better soon Amber. Glandular fever takes a while to recover from as Blingy said.

Great outfit Blingy {as usual).

Shop I rarely look at Lakeland but having clicked on your link, I now want one a few of these. At the moment my everyday shoes are in a heap at the bottom of the wardrobe & the ones I wear less are in boxes. Thought I could put this in the spare room.

shopafrolic · 15/05/2017 13:36

I drove to Camden - much quicker than train for me QueenC and I parked easily. The pair in Office were the right size but the manager had said on the phone that they were missing the tab on the pull ring of the zip. Anyway, long story short, the zip is intact apart from that and because they were damaged he sold them to me for £25! They are fab. Am just going to buy some white grosgrain ribbon and redo the pulls. So happy! Thanks for all the offers of help. Love this thread.
