Psst Crem. You don't need an apostrophe st all. Possessive pronoun innit.

Excellent news re pusscats! Paws crossed.

No need as yet re job, but am sorting out reference with volunteering school. It had fallen into an admin black hole.

Montypulciano · 09/03/2017 11:03

Crem, so sorry re job. Hope kitten will be a welcome distraction.

Herbs, any news?

Nice dress, MI.

At orthodontist with dd1. Place your bets as to how many ££££ this will cost. Am not optimistic.

Montypulciano · 09/03/2017 11:03

Hope they can sort ref v quickly, Herbs

Cremolafoam · 09/03/2017 13:11

Ha. No apostrophe and NO FECKIN KITTEN. I give up. The woman had given it away yesterday and not bothered to let me know.
Heartsick now.

motherinferior · 09/03/2017 13:16

HORRIBLE WOMAN.

motherinferior · 09/03/2017 13:22

Crem, you WILL get a pusscat. There are plenty of them around.

Including the one I accidentally shut in my office overnight which CRAPPED IN MY SWIMMING BAG. It (the bag) has had a boil wash and it (the cat) is having an unrepentant snooze.

Spring is sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where those Crepeys is?
herbaceous · 09/03/2017 13:22

OH FGS CREM. What kind of arse is she. Are you a member of any local Facebook groups? They can be good for kitten-finding purposes.

When you do get one, you could call it Apostrophe.

What a very lovely day it is today. I am half tempted to go into the garden and tidy up the remains of the fireworks that have been there since Guy Fawkes night!

magimedi · 09/03/2017 15:45

What a cow, Crem.

Just beautiful here today & we went for a walk & ended up sitting on the beach for half an hour.

Summer's here - shall I wear shorts & a Tshirt tomorrow? Grin

Lalsy · 09/03/2017 17:01

Oh Crem, how could she? Pah. And to job stuff. Is there anything else on the horizon?

And Herbs, I am still on the edge of my seat...

herbaceous · 09/03/2017 17:21

Un-tenter your hooks, crepeys, and uncross those fingers. I got the job! Go me! I rule!

I now of course feel guilty about my adult job, and my lovely class. But at least that sodding non-functioning printer will be a thing of the past.

Also, money. Adult Ed job pays me £4K a year for about three days' work a week (term time only), once I factor in evening planning, fretting, etc. It takes 40 minutes to drive there. This pays £20K for five days a week. No admin, 10 minute cycle. And lots of contact time and resources creation, which are my favourite things...

wordassociationfootball · 09/03/2017 17:25

That, is, BRILLIANT news Herbs. I'm so so pleased for you Grin

Lalsy · 09/03/2017 17:34

Whoooop Herbs, that is wonderful news! Well done. When do you start? Is it term time only? Gin tonight?

herbaceous · 09/03/2017 17:40

Term time only! Apart from the odd day training.

Not sure when I start - have to give a months notice to current job, even though they only have to give me a week, which seems a trifle unfair.

Gin will have to wait until after orchestra tonight - I shall swig away with gay abandon in front of question time.

hattymattie · 09/03/2017 17:43

Absolutely brilliant news Herbs and near to home as well.Wine

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/03/2017 17:43

Yay! Go herbs! Well done xx

motherinferior · 09/03/2017 17:51

Herbs, congrats!!!!

Lalsy · 09/03/2017 17:53

In much less thrilling news, I can't remember who the other cord-seekers were but Seasalt's Lameldra now reduced, and were some of the best my extensive research found. Nice snug fit but I can fit thermals underneath for icy volunteering.

magimedi · 09/03/2017 17:56

I am so pleased to hear that news, Herbs.

I shall raise a Wine to you shortly.

Rosebag · 09/03/2017 17:59

Well deserved indeed, Herbs. Star Lovely news x

Stropperella · 09/03/2017 18:00

Superb news, Herbs! A well-deserved win!
(I am on the hunt for a slightly simular job, but they are few and far between round these parts)

herbaceous · 09/03/2017 18:00

Thank you all for your support mes crepes. I'm so touched how pleased you all are for me! I do so wish I could get smashed tonight, but as we have a concert next Saturday, and are woefully bad, I really should go and toot my bassoon. You can toast my good fortune at our meet up.

The job really does draw on all my experience and favourite bits - to create resources for the pupils takes a kind of editorial skill, extracting the nub of the gist and presenting it at the right level. All I have to do now is work out how to control teenagers!

Lalsy · 09/03/2017 18:06

We will certainly do that, Herbs!

motherinferior · 09/03/2017 18:07

Many teenagers are very lovely, Herbs. I grumble about mine but they are the light of my life and I adore them.
