Re maths - dd grimly did shedloads of past papers/practise questions over Easter and became briefly competent for the couple of weeks that included the exams, then instantly forget everything, including times tables. I would not have thought such rapid progress and decline possible but it was.

Cloud, you've had a very dark time recently, I am so sorry. The crying thing is good though, ( I promise) no matter how wrung out and shattering it is. Sleep , weep, repeat. Then one day, you wake up and find you can't cry any more, and you come back stronger. this has been my experience fwiw, and I hope you can go through the process peacefully without feeling the absolute fury I felt
