Hatty, well remembered! Next stage. All done with fit dentistSad Now back to my usual one for the actual implants - he reckons 5-6weeks!

hattymattie · 21/03/2017 20:28

Wow -BTM - you can talk me through it on Saturday - I'm interested as having got my teeth organised - I reckon my crumbling front teeth, although saved by the braces, still have no enamel so something will need to be done eventually. It seems quite a lengthy process, even though uplifted by fit dentist Smile

Cremolafoam · 21/03/2017 20:30

Magi, I'm very sorry to hear you are still poorly ( I know very well, that horrid thing of not getting well before the next thing hits you) I hope round two will knock the uti on the head, you poor thing.Flowers

BD thinking of you. Am hugging Sagapuss and imagining you hugging Flash.SadFlowers

Have had a one to one with manager today. She had red and green cards with her. Something to do with a management learning programme she's doing about listening more, bitching less, getting off arse and going to see someone instead of sending snarky emails. Well fuck me, the whole meeting was about this. I got to say very little until I told her I probably only had six months more to give her. that shut her up.Shock

Cremolafoam · 21/03/2017 20:36

Mrs S how is MamaS ce soir?

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/03/2017 22:11

Mama S is on fine form = being rude to everyone. All you Asian nurses look the same. He says he's Portuguese but I think he's Asian. That one must be an illegal immigrant. Have you ever seen anyone as ugly as that woman with the bad wig in the bed opposite?

She asked for a kosher meal tonight, and when they told her what it was, said, oh I don't fancy that,I'll have a ham sandwich. The nurse was like Confused

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/03/2017 22:14

Think Catherine Tate's Swearing Nan x 10 and on speed. Oh yes, she also said to the Nigerian nurse "My daughter's maid had hair like yours."

motherinferior · 22/03/2017 07:37

morning all. Am at desk in aim of a long and early lunch break to swim...

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 22/03/2017 07:48

Oh my Lordy Lordy, Mrs S Shock I'm really not sure how you deal with that.... can you stick a 'apology in advance' on a post it note on her notes?

Felt a bit more human yesterday, so banged off a CV to someone, updated Linked In and some charity bags made it from the house to the car. They will take their final journey today, I promise!

Auriga · 22/03/2017 08:41

Popping in to squeeze your hand BD, & say get well soon to MM.

Sorry I can't make Saturday; both DH & DD have concerts, so I am doing the chauffeuring & going to DD's. Sad not to see you all, especially on Sat, which is anniversary of DM's death. Signs of Spring all around inescapably remind me of being immured with her last year. But on the other hand, my young trees have visible buds 🙂

Why does it always feel as though there is something difficult to get through before things can be manageable? Surely they must be manageable some of the time? Or is that only in retrospect?

wordassociationfootball · 22/03/2017 09:57

Immured.... great word Auriga. Is it really a year Flowers

Love Beachy's 'apol in advance' note idea Mrs S

MM - really hope ab's work for you this time.

Trucking on here.... that's about it.

KOBO, BD.

Cremolafoam · 22/03/2017 10:27

Auriga, a year already. Flowers Sorry not to see you this time round, but very much hope you enjoy the musical offerings this weekend. It is good to see buds, it really is.
Mrs S, omg 😲 i think the post it might be a plan, and a few tins of Celebrations some wine and fireworks to hand around the ward, when she gets to go home.Wink nice to hear dm is sounding like her old self.Hmm

Hoping for a good quiet day here with crempuss. I am going to do some experimental pickling.

Spring is sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where those Crepeys is?
motherinferior · 22/03/2017 10:52

In aged parent news I have rashly and guiltily invited my father to stay the night when DD2 has a dance gig in the afternoon and then I have a concert.

Ah, he says, how lovely but do you have blankets, I can't sleep under a duvet. He proposes he brings blankets if we don't have any. I am already going bonkers.

bigTillyMint · 22/03/2017 11:13

MIGrin at blankets - even DM horrid of them about 10 years ago!

Auriga Flowers- hope the music is uplifting.

MrsS, glad to hear your DM is back on form! Cremo is right about chocs.

I'm on my way to yet another hospital appointment for DS. Not holding out much hope. And it's his 16th today Sad

wordassociationfootball · 22/03/2017 11:27

Oh BTM. It's utterly wretched. I'm so sorry.

wordassociationfootball · 22/03/2017 11:27

Oh BTM. It's utterly wretched. I'm so sorry.

MrsSchadenfreude · 22/03/2017 11:41

Oh BTM, that is awful. Really sorry.

BD - how are you?

Think all the old girls shit at the same time here. The stench is making me gag.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 22/03/2017 11:45

Hi Auriga - lovely to "see" you. Can't believe it's a whole year since your Mum died. Hope yiu can remember her in the midst of the concerts and signs of Spring.

Lalsy · 22/03/2017 12:09

BTM, so so sorry. Totally grim. Am thinking of you.

Auriga, a year....Flowers. I hope dd's concert is as uplifting as ever.

Crem, oooh she is gorgeous. What are you going to pickle?

MrsS, wow, she has bounced back to pithy insult form. Chocs a top idea.

Rosebag · 22/03/2017 12:27

auriga I will think of you on Saturday. Flowers

BTM please don't lose hope. There is always hope. Flowers

WAF strength to KOBO Flowers You too BD

MM how do you feel today? Sounds more like a kidney infection than a standard UTI. Be well.

MrsS that does indeed sound utterly grim. Flowers

I have escaped from DD for a bit who is full of cold and trudging through assignments in bad humour.

In trivial style and beauty I have spent my JL partnership card reward vouchers on black Geox glitter trainers and they are LUSH and as comfortable as slippers.

MrsSchadenfreude · 22/03/2017 12:48

There will be chocolates in abundance for the nurses, fear not! I have escaped for some fresh air and some lunch as she was falling asleep.

Cremolafoam · 22/03/2017 12:57

Rose , they are smashing. I do love Geox. You will look gorgeous, as ever. MI I did giggle re blankets. Does do think it's the War or something?
BTM. I wish there was something that would help. Happy birthday to ds. I'm so sorry life it son unbearable at the moment. Please know that he CAN get better. I've met girls and boys who have recovered from this illness. There is a guy i work with who I has been where you are right now and has turned things around with a lot of help. You are being brilliant and holding up a very stressful situation. Massive respect.

Mrs S, tmi it's the pills they take that causes the noxious fumes according to my nursey sister. Again tmi.Blush

I need to hoover as the floor is mining but am scared of frightening the cat. cat owner dilemmaHmm

Cremolafoam · 22/03/2017 12:58

Minging., not mining.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 22/03/2017 14:18

BTM, I'm sorry things aren't improving. It's such a long haul Sad

Crem, we have the same Hoover dilemma with one dog - it really annoys her and she tries to attack it.

MI - my annoying SIL and husband CAN'T sleep under duvets and arrive, bustle off upstairs and carefully remake the beds to their liking....weirdo's, the lot of them, I say....

motherinferior · 22/03/2017 14:31

I am appealing to potential blanket-owning friends. We may have one lurking too. Ffs.

BTM, I too know people who've recovered and done really well. I also know it's a long haul - but he has the best support I can think of, seriously.GinFlowers
