Fine hair holy grail and believe me i don't say that lightly

holy mother of god this stuff is brilliant! leaves my hair soft, thicker looking and shiny with plenty of grip - all the best qualities of a glosser, mousse and the metric shit ton of dry shampoo i usually use Grin in one fab product. My fine, long, grease prone hair can go days without washing using this stuff. seriously, it's the best thing i have ever used on my hair - and i've used a lot.

I dropped this into the trolley today as I love a bit of mousse. God I'm such a S&B board sheep - I was wearing my Ugg Wilcox boots too! Blush

Another baa sheep here. And I like it! Had it a few days. Don't mind the smell, my hair looks quite swishy and shiny - it had been looking quite stringy on my old stuff (Ojon) despite not changing anything and I was feeling fed up. So it's a YES from me. Can go a second day if I really have not wash - to which is a bonus- though I have only done that once so far this week.

Catra · 14/03/2017 00:52

I too bought the Ugg Wilcox boots thanks to Mumsnet - verdict: incredibly practical and comfortable, albeit their fleecy lining makes me overheat.

Anyway ... given that I have fine, flyaway hair with zero body, I decided to give this L'oreal holy grail a go. Good god ... all I achieved was a sticky mess - I applied it to towel dried hair as instructed and honestly, it just felt as though a bird had shat on my head. Even though I'd just washed my hair, I felt an incorrigible urge to wash it again straight away!

So glad that this as worked for others, but sadly it is not for me :-(

Thanks for the post, OP, the Elnett mousse is amazing - best product I've ever used!

retainertrainer · 29/03/2017 07:56

It's a bit hit and miss for me,doesn't quite give my hair the texture it needs.

I've tried every mousse on the market and I always go back to wella shock waves. It's super volumising and it give that grip/texture. My hair's too slippery/silky to get any real body to it otherwise.

HereBeFuckery · 29/03/2017 08:37

I like it too, OP, thank you! I got my mum some as well, but she's not used it yet.

catarinapovre5 · 01/04/2017 23:37

Thank you so much OP, just got this and it's made my hair so flexible and even "swishy" been looking for a product like this for decades. Will stock up before it's inevitably discontinued!

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 02/04/2017 10:17

I bought the volume one for my wavy hair and whilst it definitely gives volume at the roots it makes my scalp itch like mad Sad no other products have done this - slightly gutted!

gonegrey56 · 02/04/2017 10:21

I bought it on the strength of these reviews, and I love it! Thanks OP.

Truckingalong · 02/04/2017 13:37

Another sheep but I'm not feeling the love at all. It's sticky, drying and does very little in the way of adding volume.

MrsC2006 · 07/04/2017 17:13

I love this!!!! The first few times I tried it I wasn't very impressed but I started using more product and the difference is amazing!!! No stickiness or crunch!

mistermagpie · 07/04/2017 19:31

I've just ordered some on the strength of this thread! My flat, fine, greasy hair is very excited.

For those it doesn't work for, the best product I've found is boots mousse. Just the bog standard own brand one in the purple can, it's about £1.69. It's one of the best products I've tried for my crappy hair and I bought it following a recommendation by Sali Hughes is one of her columns.
