Pepper I'm so glad the Aveeno worked, it makes me happy to spread the joy! Yes it does have a somewhat sheepy taste but smooth lips are worth it Smile

As I feel I should now really contribute to the thread, I have finished a small bottle of well a dupe of Neroli Portofino and a small bottle of nail polish remover. I don't really feel I am up to you guys' standard Grin

RiverTamFan · 21/04/2017 15:05

Getting off to a good start:

  1. Maybelline quick drying pink polish: went slightly funny so I womaned up and chucked it out!
  2. Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream
  3. Sally Hanson Diamond Strength Base coat (bought online, appears to have been fake)
  4. Body Shop Sugar scrub

I'm terrible for keeping stuff rather than chucking it when it really, really needs to go. Am going to try making my own body scrub and plopping it in the empty tub as my drawers are full of body butter and I'm trying to clear space here, not refill it!

EleanorRigbysNeice · 21/04/2017 17:15

Well, I'm stressed to fuck so....it's all gone spectacularly wrong.

Purchased...
Boots No7 Serum and day Moisturiser (3 for 2)
Clinique Blusher that hopefully will replace my Iced Lotus (none in stock but I was willing to be sold the "new, next best thing" by smiley SA).
Clinique brow pencil
St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan (Offer £9) Never used this before so hope it's ok. I'm crap at self tan but am unfeasibly pale. 👻

Oh, and the No7 lady didn't take my "£5 off all" token, off iykwim.

Great. Now I need 🍷

EleanorRigbysNeice · 21/04/2017 17:16

It is 17.27 and I am having 🍷

Strawberryfield12 · 21/04/2017 18:19

Congratulations mowglick!

Another owner of slightly redundant Laura Mercier primer here.

Squeezed the last bit of life out of Molton Brown's absolute rose full size shower gel this morning! Yay!

kwick · 21/04/2017 18:38

@ADisappearingDreamOfYesterday how please tell me where you got the Portofino dupe - I love that stuff!!!!

@EleanorRigbysNeice enjoy your Winesounds like you deserve it

My Bath Bomb haul arrived today... will post pictures later...

Eleanor wine open here too. Stressed and a little bit relieved if that makes sense! Just got first blood test results for my dog who is being shipped internationally next week - they were excellent, one more set of tests to go - pours more wine.

On the used up list are a Nature's Origin conditioner which I liked but it was so difficult to get out of the bottle. Also gone I'd an Ecover Bubble bath which I shipped here 3 years ago!

RiverTamFan · 21/04/2017 20:31

Read previous posts and was inspired to rummage for anything nearly done. Used the last of some L'eau D'Issey Moisturising Body Lotion from a gift set.

Congratulations mowglick and waiting to see kwick's bath bombs!

Tablefor4 · 21/04/2017 20:38

Hoping you can help on the use up front. Any suggestions on how to use up a Burt's Bees Butter? Probably bought as a nappy cream for the DDs. Too heavy for a face cream, but will take forever as a lip balm. I don't have too many dry spots. So, suggestions?

Also Flowers to Mowglick

kwick · 21/04/2017 21:00

Blimey so much packaging for a fairly modest haul...

Oh I have an empty!

  • Neutrogena hydro boost micellar water - best alternative to Bioderma thus far - not so great with eye make-up

kwick they look pretty, low calorie too☺

ADisappearingDreamOfYesterday · 22/04/2017 09:03

Kwick I'm on the app so can't link sorry, it's a £6 eBay jobbie so not a 100% copy but it has the same notes (although this is more lavender-y I feel) and is great for the price!

If you type in designer/niche perfumes into EBay,
they come up, the seller is parfums-world. They do a few dupes, some are a bit hit and miss but the Neroli Portofino smells gorgeous, they send first class and the little sprays (narrow plastic bottles!) are great for handbags.

I'm usually a fan of Perfume Parlour for dupes, but their quality seems to have dropped slightly recently, so these have been a good alternative. Apologies if I am enabling people on a using up thread BlushGrin

ememem84 · 22/04/2017 09:14

Soap n glory mini hand cream used up this week. Nothing else to report.

Working through the stash though.

FrustratedFrugal · 22/04/2017 09:22

Tablefor4 I tend to use body butters and face and eye creams that didn't work for me on my legs - slapped on quickly after shower, left to absorb for a few mins while I do my face and hair, and then I can dressed without wasting any time.

I have finished countless products that way!

My face is looking great again after extra pampering (glycolic + Innisfree sleeping mask) - I was feeling pretty rough last night after three days of travel but all is well now!

kwick · 22/04/2017 11:03

Thank you so much @ADisappearingDreamOfYesterday Grin

Wow kwick nice haul. Do send feedback. I love a bath bomb.
Nice using up guys. I finally have a few empties
. Waitrose baby bottom butter: 4 years later!
. Garnier face scrub. Too harsh for face, fab for feet
. Benefit highlighter. Wow too sparkly for a 37 year old!
. Athletes foot cream (tmi!)
. Paul smith rose perfume. Too much Rose for me but people liked it on me.
Also went to Boots and only bought toothpaste and shampoo (candle with points so doesn't count right?!?) finally sunshine here and life looks brighter.

Also my rosacea looks the best it has in years after anti-mite cream and azeliac acid. Can highly recommend. I think I have frugal to thank for cream. Flowers
Also a strict boring skincare regime and little alcohol but that's not a great recommendation!

IPokeBadgers · 22/04/2017 15:51

Finishe'd a Liz Earl eyebright lotion. I use it to remove light eyemakeup....not a product I would necessarily go and buy but had acquired a couple of bottles in qvcuk tsv sets. Have another one to go but will work away at it.

With being off work and very anxious/stressed I'm afraid I am acquiring stuff again. Whilst acquiring the the same time trying to start the Konmari method to sort out the house. Afraid the two are likely to be incompatible.... Confused

kwick · 22/04/2017 18:22

@IPokeBadgers Kimberly clarke on You Tube recently did a video on tge Konmari method, if you have not seen it.

I'm very slowly working through the stash too. I've finished off a clinique chubby stick that I liked, and a dramatically different moisturiser that I received in a GWP. Small progress, but at least I'm heading in the right direction.

Tablefor4 · 22/04/2017 19:59

Thanks frugal that sounds sensible.

woodhill · 22/04/2017 20:12

Well done apples slow progress here. Just about finished a full size aloe Vera shower gel which was on my Easter list.

littlepooch · 22/04/2017 20:12

Those bath bombs look fab kwick have you tried them yet?

I tend to do the same table use up stuff like that on my body - legs, feet, even my post baby tummy!

One empty to report here - Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic. This is a staple for me - I can't live without it. I have another full size and one smaller spray bottle in my stash so need to repurchase but will definitely do so once they are done. I am addicted to the smell!

Been trying out tinted moisturisers - tried the bare minerals and Laura mercier. Both had lovely finish and good coverage but both had disappeared by mid afternoon. Perhaps I need to try setting them a bit more.

IPokeBadgers · 22/04/2017 23:01

Kwick thanks, have watched that Kimberly Clarke video re; konmari, very good. I am just starting and it's going to be small victorit's I think....discarding ANYTHING is a problem for me!
