My name is kwick and it has been 3 days 8 hours and 20 minutes since I last bought a beauty product...

What a great thread! I have decluttered my house ready to try and sell it and I am ashamed of the hoard I have...

It got really bad when collected it all and I put it all in tubs together ... I have now swore I shall use up all my odds and sods and samples before I buy again (which might help the credit card too!)

Can't wait to report my first empty bottle xx

My bathroom is out of bounds for showers as dh knocked toilet and bathroom into one so no shower rail or curtain (have a shower room) so even more reason to use up the hoard as less to clear out of the vanity unit.

Wow. I would love to finish even one colour in a palette!

I finished a clear rimmel brow gel. It was ok. I needed a new one so just went a bought a cheap clear mascara from natural collection today. I can't imagine it makes a difference!

I have earmarked a Charlotte Tilbury eye pencil and lipliner that I am determined to finish. I don't like them much so want them gone! Also a perfume which probably has a few weeks worth left so am determined to get through these.

The bad news is I found 2 pretty much brand new Mac blushers in an old bag today that I had completely forgotten about

There are no rules on this thread however you want to do things!
I generally have lots of products on the go - I like variety but if I have earmarked one that I want to be done with I try and focus on using it more frequently than the others.
Eg Chanel pallete which is more than 10 years old is the only eyeshadows combo I have used for months!! I have enough make-up in my stash to last me for the next 20 years or so but I am trying to wear makeup more often to use it up faster so I can buy more

I don't usually mention my empties because I usually have same stuff but think I'm gonna bore u with them now lol.

Ok so this week I emptied a Burberry weekend perfume-won't repurchase and was glad to get rid!
A tub of boots aqueous cream which is a staple for me (to wash my delicate bits )
A palmers cocoa butter body lotion which is another staple.
Hylamide subq anti age serum-my third or fourth bottle of this but don't think I'm gonna repurchase anymore.

I have used an M & S perfume, Butterfly, which I really liked, very light for daytime use.

Also, I wondered if anyone has a glass nail file? Would you recommend a particular brand, my nails are breaking low down a I thought perhaps a good nail file may help??

It's only my lipstick collection, kwick's eyeshadow hoard, frugal's chanel palettes, wood's shower gels, dragon's hand cream stash, plum's make up haul, Five's moisturisers, em's body oils, mint's face creams and little's lotions and user's potions!

Latest purchase for eyes tried out! A little much for a Thursday night movie?? Nah it's fine huh??

Hello all the new people - loving having more posts to read.
Kwick hit pan! That is something I only dream of!

DH and the kids are in Manchester and DD1 told me she bought me a present bless! A KIKO eyeliner, oh she knows her mummy well! I am never ever going to need another eyeliner- that's just another in the pile. It's good my philosophy is #itsallabouttheeyes

The recycling bag that arrived today wants not only clothes but ..... cosmetics, even used ones. Pick up is Monday so tomorrow or Sunday may just see me clearing off (a bit of) a shelf?

Then I can list the load of stuff to actually use up and finish! Hurray!

I'm coming here to join you all and tell you how I've recently filled up my 6th shoebox of make up. Yes. 6 shoeboxes full of make up, and 4 very large make up cases. I know I didn't need all of that... but I went to buy some lippie and found a bronzer that smells like chocolate. Who could say no?

Shelves - that sounds like a lot to work through - did you go shopping in your stash?

I have more empties. Usually report on a Sunday but not doing too bad for now.

1.deoderant clutches at straws
2.tescos, my skin cheepo face scrub - used up on feet, definitely too scratchy for face
3.m&s autograph ultimate sleep cream from advent calendar

1. Elemis - papaya enzyme peel - full size, love love love this, both gentle and effective and the smell - heaven
2. full size soap and glory righteous bastard butter. Nice stuff just so bloody big. Had this from last summer but in constant use for the last month or so.
3. Elizabeth Arden - foundation sample nice Matt coverage but a bit too dark
4. Clinique mini mascara - gone clumpy saved the brush. Little rubber thing - did quite like this.

I seem to be doing quite well with my stock rotation. I have a few open full sized items to use - these are way beyond the date on the side. So I am preserving with these. Other than that I am trying to use older stuff first - sample size or not I do not have holding bins in rough date order

1. Ruby and Millie eyeshadow brush - binned - lost too many hairs

I have one shoe box of makeup. Since the cull and binning of stuff which were poor choices and bad advice from SAs, I have half a shoe box of makeup (plus what's in my day-to-day makeup bag.

Yes, the brush counts Tubbybells. I binned a Bobbi Brown blusher brush because no matter how I cared for it, I ended up finding hairs on my face at various stages, throughout my day. Not acceptable. Binned - despite the cost as utterly useless to me.

Well done kwik on finishing the pan of a palette. I have so many I don't think I will ever used them up especially as they are all dark/smoky and I don't tend to wear eyeshadow ...doh!

I have a few tiny emplites

1. a brow pencil but bought a straight replacement although I have another two or three. I will try to use those before I open the new one
2. a concelear
3. one of my twenty or so sheet masks

I am going on holidays and have taken quite a lot of half used products hoping that I will finish some.

The Korean beauty regimen is slowly changing my skin though, love it and as I use a lot of products now that I have a proper routine I might get round to finishing some.

Still haven't finished the number 7 though....it is like it is refilling itself....I want it gone!!

Shelves 6 shoe boxes!! 6 shoe boxes! surely you can paint your whole body in eye shadow for a month....you should try, might start a new trend :-)

Ah Lifeis - I love a sheet mask and use about 2/3 a week.

During my make-up sort out I discovered a Mac Lip Liner in red - No idea what possessed me to buy it - I am more of a tinted gloss or nude lipstick type of girl. Depressingly I also have lots of "natural" pinky lip balms and tints - this has become a mission.

Wow some good work here! I finished a mini soap and glory body butter tub. I can't stand the smell as I've said before so glad it's gone. Wish my in laws wouldn't buy me a gift set every Christmas as while the products aren't too bad, the smell is just not too my taste. Definitely won't be repurchasing, will shop my stash for a new body moisturiser!

Ps I've never tried a sheet mask. It's on my list of things to try once I've used up the normal masks in my stash!

I need permission to chuck a trilogy rosehip facial oil....still half full but smells fishy and I don't like using it!

If it smells fishy it is probably off and may not be doing your skin any good at all, so I'd chuck it.

Not many empties for me, only an M&S perfume I received with a gift box at the end of last summer.

I am buying much less, but reckon I only average one empty a week. Most of them are full size products though. I don't see a difference in the size of the stash, but when I see everything listed there is quite a bit of difference.

Kiehls lip balm #1 3ml which Dragon kindly sent me - I really enjoyed using this. I have given myself permission to break out on the Decleor one now!!!!!
