Hush S/S 17 thoughts?

Hi, what does everyone think of the hush new season? I've ordered a few bits to try, a couple of their basic raglan l/s tops, the dungarees (not sure!) and the lightening bolt dress and shirt, just wondered if anyone else had had a look yet?

Well it's an interesting question as I don't think I fit any of the types:

• my thighs are quite big as I build muscle easily there meaning I can have same issues as pear shapes with jeans
• as I have no bum I have had issues with trousers falling down like apple shapes before I built up my bum muscles.
• according to measurements the only thing that is out of proportion big are my shoulders meaning I can be classified as an inverted triangle

But when I've put my measurements into those online calculators I have had 'does not compute' answers as I don't fit any model. I like to think I am just human shaped . I used to say I was like an iPhone with boobs (my waist is ok but not mega accentuated)

Looks lovely Dancer, I haven't got the jacket but it gets good reviews.

My bras came. They are utterly perfect for me. Not wired. Very soft. Big caveat is that they are most definitely for the less well endowed. Which is me, and I really struggle to find comfy, small enough items. The review do reflect this in fairness.

Marble tee is definitely going back, as I ordered the striped heart tee and it's much nicer on me.

I see the military jacket is available in black this year, I think i might order, anyone ordered yet? I'm wondering what the sizing is like.

Still no sign of parcel need. I just checked tracking no. on royal mail website and says that delivery failed this morning and it's being held at the delivery office in my town (there is more than one, and I've no idea which....). There was no communication/email either, like I would get with every other courier company. I get all my parcels sent to my office (a massive town centre building which opens at 7) so no idea how it didn't get delivered or where that 'failed to deliver card' is.... I'm not very impressed and will need to investigate tomorrow....

Yikes Sesamesparkle that's annoying. If it's any consolation I am sending every single thing back and am chalking it down as a shopping failure. My bank balance will thank me though!

sesamesparkle if you dont know where it is, why don't you get it redelivered? I have done this. Its easy. Just go on to the royal mail website and follow the process for redelivery and you will get your parcel :) It may take until Friday to come to you though.

I have the khaki one from last year and i would say its true to size.

Thanks never, with your prompt it looks like I've managed to rebook a delivery for Friday - it wasn't very obvious how to do this from the 'tracking' bit of the website.

The cropped harems were a failure. Very unflattering with so much voluminous fabric and made my bum look massive. They were very comfortable though!

Just received my first order after being inspired by this thread! I like so many things but hoping the quality justifies the price, don't mind paying more but only for stuff that holds up well for lots of use! I'm shopping for holidays in a tropical climate so I only got the Marseille Shorts and the Sheer Linen Tee, to check on size etc before I get more.

Has anyone had the Monaco or Cropped Relaxed Trousers? Really like the look of them but would like to know if they'd be cool enough for evenings in a hot country?

Merry I am sending mine back as I am too small height wise and build, but the Monaco's feel incredibly comfortable. And yes, cool enough for summer.

I need to stop purchasing, I seem to be a priority customer with free next day delivery, which isn't helping...

My tops arrived but are going back. The French blue linen tee does not look its price at all. I found an old Cos top in the same colour and rarely wear it although it is vastly superior in quality so the Hush too is definitely being returned.. I bought a striped long sleeve top which I really like but....... I have started watching Trinny Woodall's blogs and when I try on something I ask myself if it fits perfectly and looks expensive. The Hush tops rarely tick both boxes.

The Marseille Shorts are really nice, soft and light so I'm keeping those and will probably get the Slate Grey ones too. The Sheer Linen TShirt was a bit scratchy and not as loose as I like, so that's going back. It was a bit meagre quality and fit wise to justify the price. But I am back on the site now and will probably get a lot more pieces even though I probably shouldn't!

Everyone is saying how big Hush stuff is though, and the shorts FIT me but weren't on the large side so I am now a bit

Ordered the striped Tara dress as love my others but think it may be too stripey so to speak. I wore my navy one from last summer so much. Also ordered heart pastel t shirt, the stripey v T shirt in both colours and the blue raglan sleeved t. I wanted the olive lightening bolt t but Oos!

Doctor Customer services are very helpful with telling you what will come back into stock etc and what they will not replenish.

Merricats I don't the sizing massively huge either. I am really small, 7.5 stone and 5ft, true size 6. Some things, yes, but most not.

Is the Tara long on a 5'3" frame? I like a mid-thigh length. Worried its going to hit the knee. .

God no, I'm 5ft. It's ruched, so it's as long or as short as you need it to be! I have 4, not to mention the ruched skirts...

Merricatshouse I find the harem pants, standard t-shirts and some knitwear runs big. I couldn't do up the shorts I ordered . Jeans usually run TTS. Jackets also but I have one of their boucle cardi jacket thingys in a small and that fits well but tighter than on the model. The Piper dress could have fitted me and the entire family inside. It really does depend!
