Hi, what does everyone think of the hush new season? I've ordered a few bits to try, a couple of their basic raglan l/s tops, the dungarees (not sure!) and the lightening bolt dress and shirt, just wondered if anyone else had had a look yet? Smile

Just received delivery of the basket stitch jacket in blue/ecru - it's really lovely and good quality.

skippy67 · 25/02/2017 13:34

How long is the Tara? I'm 5' 9".

chloechloe · 25/02/2017 13:51

So I made a huge order and want to keep a lot of it!

Going back is:

The military jacket - cut really straight and looks terrible if you have boobs or curves.

The Amie joggers. Am a 10 with skinny legs and the small is huge and makes me look like I'm wearing a nappy!

The Cara Boucle style cardigan. I desperately want to keep this but have to accept that it just doesn't suit my figure. Sob. I still keep trying it on though, in the hope it will suddenly suit me.

The best bits that I want to keep:

The black Tara. I held off buying one while I was pregnant but am glad I waited as I love the V neck. Need inspiration as to what shoes to wear with it for every day.

The navy jumper with the metallic silver stars. This is the best item of all - really nicely cut.

The marble tee. Is quite thin but am BFing so will wear it with a vest anyway.

The stripy boat neck jumper in black. Love this, will look great with black or white shorts in summer.

Am undecided about the linen jumper in calypso after reading under comments on here re price vs quality.

Also like the skin long sleeve tee in black.

Aargh this is too much to keep, especially as I put it on our joint credit card as mine is maxed out! Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2017 14:03

The length of the tara dress can be positioned to suit your height i expect. I think it seems a little longer than the winter one. I am not sure it will ride up. It is difficult to give you an idea how long it is but I am 5ft 5 and its not desperately short on me. I would imagine the model is that height so will finish where she has it? You can pull it down though.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2017 14:30

Chloe I will just wear boots, ankle boots or my fly london Mary Janes with this dress. When summer comes, sandals or even some trainers will be fine with it.

Laska5772 · 25/02/2017 15:52

Well I tried on the smaller linen Ts and have decided to keep the larger ones after all!

The arms in the M were just a tad too snug i think for the style ( and I dont have fat arms!!) . However its going to be a matter of taste/ style isnt it ?

I like the linen in a loose fit, especially as I can see me wearing them over beach wear or a with long skirt / cami in the evenings on holiday. I love the blue and yellow

(Bit annoyed now that I didnt get the olive as it is out of stock in the L , I dont suppose theyll get any back in time for the preview offer ..)

neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2017 16:16

Laska, someone suggested looking on the hush website early in the morning. I remember doing this during the sale and even before and things came back in stock and then were out of stock later. Worth a try? I am usually up at 6am when working. You could try looking on it then?

Needastrongone · 25/02/2017 16:38

Customer services told me this week, about 9.30 am is a good time to check apparently for extra stock/returns.

I'm just going to try my few extra bits, and will report back.

Needastrongone · 25/02/2017 17:05

Right.

The racer back vest are amazing quality. Really thick and have a 'crop top' type support inside, which I didn't know, so I wouldn't need to wear a bra. I did wonder why they were quite expensive but fair enough with the thickness of material and support. I am going to keep the black and white but return the grey as the colour doesn't suit me.

Sadly the jacket is going back (navy and £65, can't remember the name). It's super, and the quality is good. Lovely deep navy. But I have too small a frame for it and it's boxy. The sleeves are too long for me too.

The underwear is staying. Slight disparity I think in £20 for a bra but £13 for knickers but that's Hush isn't it? Smile

Needastrongone · 25/02/2017 17:06

Plus, with discount the vests are £17, which I can live with for the quality.

Nearlyadoctor · 25/02/2017 18:12

Ordered arrived today, love the striped Tara despite my initial reservations about it being too stripey. Definitely a summer dress though so may be waiting a while to wear it.
Pastel heart T - ok if you paid £12 in M&S for it, nothing special and well overpriced.
Stripey V neck tees, like the black and white, nougat and white was a bit dull.
Turquoise raglan long sleeve t shirt, lovely colour, fab for spring and not too expensive.

Nearlyadoctor · 26/02/2017 07:56

Just put another order in,
Raglan T in the rose - I don't normally wear bright colours but it's looks really vibrant and cheery for spring.
White longer length tank ( have worn my 2 grey ones loads this winter)
Grey heart T
Star under stud earrings- I think their jewellery is actually very reasonably priced and nice quality!

Kr1stina · 26/02/2017 08:43

I ordered the raglan tee in three colours, all of which were lovely. But too short. I'm 5' 5" and they were only slightly longer on me than on the model, who is allegedly 5'9" . I can only assume the extra 4 inches are in her legs.

Sadly I don't have a model waistline to show off so the tees have to go back.

I'm keeping the Paloma jumper in Calypso, which is a melon colour. It's very generously sized, I'm a 12 bust and like my knitwear loose and the Small is perfect on me.

Pottedplants · 26/02/2017 12:51

I bought the blue and red raglan.nice colours but agree they are short. I have worn the red but I haven't washed it yet. I'm holding off wearing the blue until I wash the red one as I have a feeling it isn't going to wash well and I will be returning the blue one.

Laska5772 · 26/02/2017 13:02

Thanks , yes I was told about 9.30before when I wanted the burgundy skirt , it is about the right time to look .

Think I am going for the pink linen t also whist the offer is still on , will look for the olive again tomorrow

BTW I hope you are all going through Quidco I just received £10.50 back from my last couple of orders Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2017 14:38

Laska, what happens if you return things with quidco? Does it complicate things? I normally only use it if i am unlikely to return it tbh.

nearly I have the grey heart tee. Its nice. Not worn it yet. I bought the small and it is fairly generous but i like it like that.I have the star under stud earrings. They are really beautiful. Just a note though. Hultquist make them. Its not hush. If you google Hultquist you will get various shops selling all different beautiful pieces of jewellery. I even managed to get a few pieces much cheaper than hush. Sometimes people even sell hultquist on ebay.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2017 14:40

Lizzielane

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2017 14:41

lizzie lane is probably the best stockists.

Needastrongone · 26/02/2017 17:39

I've got the grey heart stripe tee and am keeping too.

I agree about the jewelry, I got the wrap bracelet with discount for about £13 and it's lovely. Looks way more expensive.

I've ordered the star linen tee in the light pink and will update but it's on back order.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2017 18:02

I think the star linen tee looks beautiful but the only thing that worries me is if you can see your bra through the star. When you zoom into the model while she is wearing it, i feel its too obvious but it may not actually be in real life as none of the reviews mention it. I will be interested to hear how you find it.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2017 18:04

I ordered the star cut out skirt and OMG it is stunning. Looks way more expensive than £65 and plus the discount its really beautiful.

HesSpartacus · 26/02/2017 22:11

Feedback for the Hush buyers - more clothes that suit people with warm toned skin, please! So many of their basics are black, white, grey... plus some sort of horrific electric blue. I have had to send stuff back in the past as the colour was much brighter in real life & made me look like Nosferatu...

Pottedplants · 27/02/2017 13:24

Hush boyfriend jeans going back. I don't like the colour and the shape/fit doesn't suit me They are way too long as well. Incidentally, I ordered two pairs of size 12 instead of one pair and tried both on. One was a lot smaller than the other, so much so I checked the labels twice.

I'm glad they are going back as my credit card is groaning!

MerricatsHouse · 27/02/2017 14:06

I reordered and got the Marseille shorts in Slate Grey as well, plus ordered the Monaco trousers. I also got waylaid by the t-shirts and ordered the white slub with gold stars and the grey Lightning Bolt tee. If they are nice tshirts I'll be hooked as I'm a sucker for good tshirts!

Starting to wonder whether this thread might be slightly enabling Grin

EggsEleven · 27/02/2017 15:34

I ordered the joanie sweater today. It's a bit of a marmite item probably but I've had my eye on it for ages but it's always been OOS. They must've had a return as a Medium became available this morning.

Also ordered the olive and white lightening bolt tshirt to try. Also must've been a return in that in a size M as one finally became available. Hope it's not too big as reviews seem to suggest to size down.

Will have to love both to keep as an currently on maternity leave so am watching the pennies. I took it as a sign though that one of each item was back in stock in my size! Grin
