I slept a bit better last night but was woken at around 4, first by DD going to the loo (she has another bout of cystitis) and then an hour of circling helicopters... presumably a Met dawn raid on druggies or terrorists. Our neighbourhood is getting dangerous.

Am at pub in A24 on way to flat, taking a break. Facing a weekend of tears and giving tlc to dear bereaved friend. Hope I'm up to the job given certain unresolved issues of my own.

Off to school to see DD's head of lower school. Have read the whats app messages from DD's friends and they are mainly sweet with the odd nasty comment thrown in (not just aimed at DD - they are all at it). Glad there was no what's app when I was 11. Have confiscated the phone for a while for everyone's sake.

Horrible morning - deep pocket clean at dentist & when I met DH afterwards he had fallen on an uneven pavement & had to rush him to our surgery for a nasty cut to his face to be dressed. He has a lovely black eye now.

Will have a drink ce soir & raise the glass to the squad. One day I might make a MU............

Am now drinking coffee on swanky shopping part of town. Have done a raid at O Bonas and upmarket chazzers. All class me. List for hand surgery is 12 months and cataract wait is 16 months. Christ on a bike 🚴

I'm out and I've had a pee and bought chocolate. To be fair, I'm not entirely sure what they want me to do but they nodded enthusiastically at things I said, so I'm sure I could do it!

I've never been a freelance or consultant before so will need to pick your brains...there do seem to be a lot of consultants there though, so they must have contracts, rates etc?

I am just waiting for a med meeting for DS - feeling rather nrevous as everyone feels he has come to a point where the treatment could go either way, so i fear we will have some tricky times ahead again. So looking forward to getting up west so that I can relax with a D&S!

Crepeys still wading through tracks with work, so am waving and wishing you a lovely time tonight. V much a two pronged business with Mum. I had 'critical' and 'serious condition' yesterday. Meanwhile sis has had dietician and speech therapist phoningn her. So I suppose it's kobo but not to be surprised if it all suddenly deteriorates.
