Where are we meeting tomorrow? Usual D&S venue?

Collymollypuff · 24/02/2017 02:31

Reasons to be cheerful: Labour holds Stoke Central. "The beginning of the end for UKIP" - Ruth Smeeth.

WAF, I hope your mum is recovering; poor you. Thanks

What time are us Crepeys convening for D&S tomorrow?

IDismyname · 24/02/2017 05:23

Ha Colly! Looks like another great night of sleep for us insomniacs Grin. I've been awake for at least an hour.

I'm sure it has everything to do with meeting today with Batshit House sitter and this Police report she's going to file. My head tells me that filing any kind of report at least 2 weeks after the event is madness (which she seems to have in abundance), it's just that I'm almost sure she's going to make some kind of accusation against my lovely and rather elderly painter who was in the house decorating while we were away.

It's that, that bothers me. He's a self employed chap who has worked within a 5 mile radius of here for decades. Ive known him for several years. It will completely devastate him. Sad

Can't wait until later. Should have had my hair cut, and have no idea what to wear. Apart from that, I'll be at "DnS Central". I may struggle to match real names/MN names and then faces. You'll have to bear with...

bigTillyMint · 24/02/2017 05:55

I will be getting to the usual D & S venue just after 5. Anyone able to arrive earlier and get us a spot before the cocktail rush-hour?!

Cloud, the police will see that she is batshit. WTF is she actually going to say he did? He was legitimately in the house. She was the one snooping. And it may all be hot air and she may not go to the police anyway.

Stropperella · 24/02/2017 06:29

Cloud, good luck for the meeting. Hope the the crazy housesitter doesn't get any more house-sittin gigs. She doesn't sound very well suited to the job.

Up since 5.15 and nearly ready to leave. I was also awake alot during the night and am a bit concerned about staying awake for the four hours of driving and 6 hours of driving today.

Blackduck · 24/02/2017 06:57

Cloud if she is going to complain about your painter point out you will support him but not her.

Very tired after lovely meal here and apparently trains were non existent yesterday - good thing I was at a meeting at dps place and got a lift!

Happy Friday all - enjoy the meet up!

wordassociationfootball · 24/02/2017 06:58

Also wakey with phone on in case of summons. If there's going to be a brain swell it will happen within three weeks. The convo was an agreement of the DNR kind. She's been v frail, not eating and wanting to check out since December.

On reflection, I did feel grown up. There were younger junior docs, senior ones of around my age and we were discussing my lovely kind funny elderly mum. It was more 'wow, this is grown up'

Girls I'm shattered. I may decide a d&s is just what I need but equally I may be in PJs....or at hospital.

It was so gorgeous last night to catch up with dd1 and 2. Each popped into my bed and updated me with vibrant fun and nonsense and news and I stroked their hair and thought how lucky I am to have the future.

Be well soon MM.

Thanks for thoughts all. She may yet have another chapter but as she said yesterday 'Don't want another dirthday. Just want to leave in my sleet' (sic)

Glad to make you snortle Stropps.

bigTillyMint · 24/02/2017 07:09

WAF, so glad your girls are keeping you feeling loved - sending strength Flowers

Stropps, drive carefully - hope you have a productive day.

Last day of mocks here and we are on our knees, but we have just about made it through.

addle · 24/02/2017 07:34

Waf, that's lovely about your girls

Cloud hope goes ok today.

Stropps (which my phone converted to Atropos - quite impressive i think) will be sending you thoughts of espressos and stuff to keep you going

See some of you later; looking forward to it

WAF, your girls sound delightful. Sending you strength.

Cloud, sorry you have all this in your plate now when everything else is stressful. How is Ds doing today?

Drive safely, Strops xx

Bit of light Brian action overnight but think just period related. Cups of tea helping and feel quite hungry so don't think it's serious. Looking forward to seeing you at W. have meeting at DD school this afternoon. Wish me luck.

NUFC69 · 24/02/2017 07:52

WAF, yes, when I cuddle DGC I think of how lucky I am: a bridge to the future. I am glad your DDs are bringing you solace. Best wishes for the days ahead.

BTM, good to hear you have survived HT. How are your boys, BD and Rudy?

Are you completely recovered, Auriga and Crem? And how about you, MM?

Cloud, the sitter sounds ridiculous, I sincerely hope she doesn't go down the police route.

It's a lovely day here (she says, gazing out of the bedroom window). Nothing planned at the moment, although I really ought to do some housework.

Montypulciano · 24/02/2017 07:55

How many are we for dinner now? Brain too addled to count.

Who have I left out for the food bit - I know Cloud, Molly, possibly Waf not eating.

Sorry you can't make it, Rudy

bigTillyMint · 24/02/2017 08:06

Monty, hope the meeting goes well Smile

motherinferior · 24/02/2017 08:07

Morning all. I will be glad to see the end of this week in the company of my SquadWink

wordassociationfootball · 24/02/2017 08:11

Thank goodness mocks are over BTM. Well done for getting through.

Good luck at school Monty. IME, they will be helpful. Hope that's the case.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 24/02/2017 08:30

Are we able to book W at 5pm? Or is it turn up and grab?

I'm not sure how long my meeting with nice young man from the City will last, but I should be there on time ish......

I'm sorry to hear your news, WAF. Hope all is peaceful today. Glad you found the medics good.

Mil is really not well - she's already called this morning requesting dh's presence as she's become paranoid about her other children. I'm not sure how long she'll be able to stay in her flat really.

Montypulciano · 24/02/2017 08:31

Good luck for today, Beachy. You are dinner too I think ?

Cremolafoam · 24/02/2017 09:38

Yes Best of luck Beachy, Monty Cloud and anyone who needs it today.

Waf, im very sad for you and family. I hope there is another chapter for you mum, as well as a glossary and index as well.

Well it has definitely been dark and stormy here. Sticks and branches everywhere. Will fill a bag later , for kindling. We have narcissus blooming at last ( we are weeks behind South of E) which is cheerful and the calm after the storm has produced sunshine which is welcome and heartening. Have fed the deer next door by hand. It has taken since before Christmas to build up to this moment as they are so very timid. Lovely Smile

Off to hospital appointment this morning. Hoping to get an indication when my surgery will be . ( this is for my hands and the Dupuytrens and Cts) I live in hope, but also not looking forward to having two hands in bandages for a week or so. Still it will be good to banish the creaky pain.

hattymattie · 24/02/2017 09:44

WAF - your girls sound lovely, such a comfort. Hope things are looking up for DM today.

MM - I was so happy to see you back, forgot to say how glad I was you're feeling better.

Cloud - hope meeting with crazy housesitter goes OK.

I have been to gym, had a chat with gym buddies (probably the main reason I go). I'm now going to M&S food to stock up on goodies for the weekend.

Blackduck · 24/02/2017 10:10

Hi NU ds is fine in a teenage kind of way. Do wish he wouldn't talk to me about feminism and how men are hard done by (rolls eyes).

WAF :(. My mum hated it all towards the end (before the dementia really took hold) - I hope for you and her it works out well, whatever that 'well' might mean.

Stropps drive safe.
Raise a glass for me tonight squad (ds cringed whenever I say that so of course I use it ALL the time Grin)

motherinferior · 24/02/2017 10:26

Tell him not to get salty with you. And that your squad is bare peng.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 24/02/2017 10:29

No dinner for me this time, sorry.....

Things not great at home so best I get back....
Thanks for luck, can't work out if I really want it, but good practice anyway.

herbaceous · 24/02/2017 10:30

We run tings. I believe.

Crepeys! I have an interview for that TA job I went for. On a morning when I usually teach. I'll have to get someone to cover my class, which could be awks.

Now, of course, I'm not sure I want it as am in honeymoon period of new course with nice class who like me. Remind me of why I was whinging?

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 24/02/2017 10:45

Herbs, because by the end of the course, you had done 20 zillion hours of admin for 12 nano seconds of teaching and you had to enter 58 different systems using different keys to photocopy 1 piece of paper. Was that it? Grin
