I'll see you at the restaurant at 8...

herbaceous · 24/02/2017 18:32

Have one (or indeed eight) for me, crepeys. I can't wait to get stuck into the wine. Had quiet morning, finishing off this magazine project, then mad afternoon of haircut-> school pick up-> pizza restaurant with DS's BFF---> home for kitten viewing, all by 5.30, all constantly interrupted by Precious Designer who wasn't around in the morning. Freelance work sucks sometimes.

And now have to take DS to choir rehearsal. DP away having lads night, of all things.

Blackduck · 24/02/2017 20:04

Cremo - worth a look re Uni Admin. I'd avoid anything too student facing if poss, but the T&Cs are usually okay - 25/30 days leave plus bank hold and 'university days'. Sick pay, reasonable hours blah blah.....

I will be posting my tasks for my interview next week and any thoughts gratefully received.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 24/02/2017 20:44

I made it the train - hic - and am ensconced with normal working people, trying not to look like I am filled with rum Grin

Thanks for a lovely evening and so sorry to be missing dinner......

Stropperella · 24/02/2017 20:59

MM, hope dh is feeling a bit better. Tripping over and hurting yourself can happen at any age - speaking from bitter experience. And my dh is only a couple of years younger than your dh Shock and when he moved in with me, I told him he wasn't allowed to be officially "old" until he turned 85. I am currently still being mean and cutting him no slack for his great age (69).

I have returned from my day-trip to university. Hoorah. Dd sent me a message to tell me she was off to visit a friend in Exeter for the w/e. So the rest of us are allowed to sit in front of the TV without Hollyoaks or Made in Kardashians being on. This constitutes a treat. Hmm

Hope the Crepey Squad have maxed out on DnS and are having a sumptuous repast at the resto.

Stropperella · 24/02/2017 21:00

X-posts, Beachy. Obvs sufficient Dns were consumed.Grin

IDismyname · 24/02/2017 22:49

Gin hic! Gin

What a great MU. Sorry not to join you for supper. Lovely, lovely, lovely to meet you all, although I know I chatted to more than others. Look forward to meeting more before too long.

bigTillyMint · 24/02/2017 23:33

Great to meet you cloud! Yes sufficient D &S s and wine conamed. Hic!

CointreauVersial · 24/02/2017 23:41

Lovely, lovely evening, crepeys! I can confirm cocktails and red wine were flowing, and dinner was delish, despite the best efforts of pissed/mad waiter, together with somewhat glacial service. But hey, who cares? The company was wonderful as ever, and I had a lovely time catching up with you all.

I intend to get up very late tomorrow.

bigTillyMint · 24/02/2017 23:47

Lightweight Grin

CointreauVersial · 24/02/2017 23:51

Lightweight and Proud!

CointreauVersial · 24/02/2017 23:52

(and just a little bit pissed)

GiddyGiddyGoat · 24/02/2017 23:56

LOVELY to see everyone who could make it to dinner - and sorry to miss those who couldn't - . Am safely home and drinking coffee - after v much enjoying the chat and the food and the red wine... XXX my lovely Crepes. Hope to meet you in rl soon Cloud.

CointreauVersial · 25/02/2017 00:09

GGG - I had a super-smooth journey -:tube train waiting for me at Ox Circ, then stepped straight onto train at Victoria, which pulled away 30 seconds later.

Makes up for the night when I couldn't find Waterloo. Blush

addle · 25/02/2017 00:29

Wonderful evening, crepe! Thanks, monty and alll other wonderful crepes. Mad waiter thought it would be good idea to be patronising uber waiter with mi, mrs s and cv. Nope. Life lesson on its own. Privileged to know and love you, crepes xxx

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/02/2017 01:05

It's quire something when the waiter is quite obviously more pissed than the rest offs put together on a night out! God choice Monty despite dodgy waiter. X

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/02/2017 01:06

of us even ...

Lalsy · 25/02/2017 08:19

I would have liked to see patronising waiter taken down!

Sounds like lovely MU, glad you got to meet The Squad, Cloud.

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/02/2017 08:37

I don't remember the waiter being patronising. Addle and I lost Monty, but caught up with her on the bus, and saw BTM wandering up the Charing Cross Road.

My smugness at 100 days without AF has well and truly bitten me on the bum this morning. I am sure the headache is period related. Ho yes. What else could it be?

I am feeling a little delicate having Iurched home, but nothing espresso can't cope with.

MU sounds good, but I don't think I will ever dare to attend one as I am such a lightweight with alcohol (I actually haven't had a drink since the beginning of December due, initially, to meds, but haven't missed it at all).

I hope that after you have done all your chores you can loll on the sofa, Rudy, and that AF isn't too much of a pain, MrsS, but don't hold your breath, tbh.

DH (now aged 69, by the way and a whole year older than me for the next four weeks) has gone to badminton. I have a corned beef hash to put in the slow cooker for dinner this evening, and then it will be an early lunch before we take DGS1 to the Newcastle footie this afternoon.

How is DH this morning, MM? That sounds like a nasty fall.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone, but particularly Stropps, vegging out and watching what she wants to watch!

bigTillyMint · 25/02/2017 10:20

MrsS, I was not wandering - I was purposefully striding towards my bus stop! And what did I say to you when you said it had been 100 days? Grin

I don't remember the waiter being smug, but that could be due to the D & S's and wine. It was a great night - just what I needed after last week - thanks crepesters! And lovely to meet CloudSmile

WAF, how is your mum doing? And how are you doing?

Rudy, hope you can get some down-time.

I have been to the gym and am going to nip out to do some errands after I have finished my coffee.

Collymollypuff · 25/02/2017 10:22

NU, on the contrary, you must come to a MU and join me in the virgin cocktails, which are amazing. I don't drink because my allergies flare up alarmingly if I do, usually. Although very occasionally I check to see if that still applies. Wink

I had such a lovely time, thank you so much, Monty, for convening us. What lovely wimmin the Crepeys are. Thanks Sorry I couldn't go on to Cote - missed you, GGG - but look forward to next time.

Cremolafoam · 25/02/2017 10:26

Waf I have some Espana stuff for you if you'd like a distraction. Don't worry if you can't face it ATM. It will keep my friend.
How is dm today?
And mm how is dh?

I got very ranty about 3 am this morning as dh was creeping about and woke me up . He them got into bed and started snoring immediately. I couldn't get back to sleep so have been up all night. So furiousAngry
This rage isn't really like me. Blush no idea where it's coming from.
Meeting old school friends this morning looking like I've been awake since 1985. Yay.
