Well, I had to didn't I? Grin Today I'm wearing W7 Viva La Berry in Berry Nice, which is a pinkish toned berry shade.

lovelipstick your lips look fab!
I'm wearing lush lip tint. Great colour but weird perfume smell and more like a balm really and I might have ordered a few Wet n Wild lipsticks from amazon after good reviews and only £2!

leedy · 17/02/2017 09:47

LOTD is Mac Fireworks. Nice semi-matte bright red, super pigmented (it's from the Liptensity range). V nice, though I think we are again heading into "I have a lot of similar colours" territory. Also I forgot I was wearing a bright green sweatshirt so I look a bit "Christmas elf" in bright red lippie....

loveslipstick · 17/02/2017 09:54

Yesterday I wore AVON MAtte in Peach Flatters and today I am wearing Rimmel Kate 08. I have hundreds to get through so I am wearing my cheaper ones for work and my more expensive ones outside of work.

BubblesDarling · 17/02/2017 12:48

Question- going out to dinner tonight. Which lipstick?

Mac Opera? Dark red matte

Or

Clinique Rebel Pop? Velvet finish ( I've yet to wear this out).

Both are out of my Nude/pink comfort zone!

Lottapianos · 17/02/2017 12:49

leedy, just looked that up and its a gorgeous colour. How does it fare with lasting power and drying v hydrating?

leedy · 17/02/2017 13:34

Lotta, it has really good lasting power. It's not particularly hydrating but not very drying either, certainly not as bad as a lot of Mac mattes.

leedy · 17/02/2017 13:37

Bubbles, I vote Rebel Pop! I have it and it's great.

Lottapianos · 17/02/2017 13:46

Thanks leedy, will add it to the list Smile

BubblesDarling · 17/02/2017 14:26

Thanks Leedy. I'm feeling the Rebel Pop too.

I've just found a stash of Mac lipsticks, velvet teddy, Amourous, Faux & Brave. I think I was going to bin them Hmm. I've changed my mind.

Hi lipstick lovers, I hate my makeup done on Tuesday by the International makeup trainer and artist for Pupa! Frederico Lucci!!! I had the time of my life, it was amazing, I bought the new eyeshadow palette and a clear lipgloss and I'm really really tempted to go back and buy the Primer and BB in one base, the stick concealer for eyes, the face powder which is luminous and non drying and the limited edition cream highlighter. I'm obsessed and NEED it all, gosh, and not forgetting the pale pink gloss!!!

BusterGonad · 17/02/2017 16:43

I had, not hate!!!

drspouse · 17/02/2017 20:37

Ok, I've been absent due to half term - but I have a big birthday party next weekend (mine). This is my dress. I'm slightly pale, highlighted blonde hair, and you all know how much I love Clinique Chubby Sticks.

What new lipstick should I look out for on my shopping day on Monday? I wouldn't mind a bright red but I can't really do orangey tones. I realised I have no bright reds. At all.

Rest of makeup will probably be nude/shimmer/gold/brown-black mascara (I have quite sunken eyes).

BusterGonad · 17/02/2017 21:07

If I was wearing that I'd be tempted to do a navy pearly eye with a hint of gold and then wear a opaque pale pink lip and dusty pink blusher but you are obviously keen on a red lip so I'd go for a punchy red, with simple gold eyes, as not to distract from your lips.

drspouse · 17/02/2017 21:19

I am a bit afraid of darker eyes because of the small/deepset eyes issue. I might experiment though...

leedy · 17/02/2017 22:20

If you're already a Clinique fan, how about trying some of the Pop reds: they have matte and satin shades, and they're all lovely?

Lottapianos · 18/02/2017 08:34

Drspouse, Fire and Ice by Revlon is a lovely bright red. The formula is excellent too, long lasting and non drying

loveslipstick · 18/02/2017 11:04

Bobbi Brown Rose Blossom for me today.

Drspouse my first instinct would be red lipstick because I just love red however what Buster suggests sounds beautiful so i'd be tempted to go for that!

maggiethemagpie · 18/02/2017 12:48

I've got Dior lip glow in Berry on today - it's great, very moisturising although my top lip always gets a bit bleedy particularly with sheer/balmy formulas so I've gone and bought the universal lip contour pencil as well.

I'm definitely going through a lipstick junkie phase at the moment!

FrustratedFrugal · 18/02/2017 13:19

Today's lipsticks are Max Factor Raisin and Chanel Orchidee. Both are old muted pink-toned reds. I have used them heavily in the past, about 50 wears left in each. They are comfortable everyday lipsticks and work well in the clearer, brighter sprong light.

FrustratedFrugal · 18/02/2017 13:22

Spring not sprong, duh 🙊

BusterGonad · 18/02/2017 14:49

No lipstick today, just chilling in my bed clothes! Grin

Haffiana · 18/02/2017 20:16

I want to thank the lovely lippyites on this thread for the advice to try Mac Rebel when I was looking for a blue-toned raspberry lipstick.

I finally got to a Mac counter today, and despite being somewhat worried at the rather dark aspect of Rebel in its tube, I tried it out and I love it! It completely brings out the colour in my cheeks and makes my eyes appear bluer. I am VERY happy with my new purchase, so thank you again!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/02/2017 08:52

Yay haffiana I love a good lip story!
I have quite a list of things to try next time I'm in town. This thread has encouraged me to try more (and pass on things I don't like).

Today I'm going to go plum. Kiko velvet range. So smooth. Just hanging in house but it's lovely!

FrustratedFrugal · 19/02/2017 09:02

I love Kiko ❤ 💄

Today, I am wearing Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Rouge Vif layered with Kiko Mirage 05. A vivid tomato red base with some orangey red (the color of unripe strawberries) worn on my lower lip. Both are excellent lipsticks: they glide on, are vivid but nuanced, feel rich and are pleasure to wear with a pretty fade. Plus they are inexpensive and nicely packaged.

Lottapianos · 19/02/2017 16:33

Today I bought YSL Rouge Pur Couture in number 52 - a bright flamingo pink. It goes on like butter and is wearing well so far, not transferring much into mug when drinking so impressed so far. It's the most expensive lippy I own at 27 quid but I think I will wear it loads so I guess it's an investment piece!
