Btw, Dominic West is a personal crush of mine Molly. Haven't seen the Affair, but may have to see if I can get a hold of it.Wink

MrsWobble3 · 25/01/2017 18:52

Crem, I assume you have seen The Wire then. If not, I recommend it.

Lalsy · 25/01/2017 19:00

Hands off DW! [rushes off to seek out The Affair].

Me too, about ATY. You want me to put my leg where? Hang on, my coat zip has got stuck to the velcro.

Molly, so important to feel you have made a decision when facing all this I think, gives you a sense of retaining control. Make sure you get looked after properly afterwards Flowers.

Gosh, Crem that explains a lot. Your poor thing. Hope the injections kick in fast and they get to the bottom of it all. Flowers. Of course you haven't been - wise and witty and warm as ever.

Cloud, you are having a bump, perhaps, as you face the new, very different normal - and you are uncertain what you want that to be. Hang on in there, and hope you can come to a MU.

London crepes - I did very well today in the Hush sample sale (google that and 2017). Jeans and jumpers 15 quid sort of thing. Lots of completely baffling clothes but some with recognisable arm and leg holes.

Lalsy · 25/01/2017 19:01

The Wire is fab (but a bit scary and bloody). Loved DW in it.

bigTillyMint · 25/01/2017 19:30

OMG Cremo, one of my colleagues was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia when she started showing dementia-like symptoms. She was really ill for a while, but is doing OK now. Flowers for you {{{}}}

bigTillyMint · 25/01/2017 19:34

And, Cremo, why are they making u wait till Friday for the first shot?

Lalsy Grin love your description of the Hush sale!

hattymattie · 25/01/2017 19:39

Gosh Crem - glad they've diagnosed it.

LalsyGrin I guess us crepeys can't recognise new fangled clothes.

Cremolafoam · 25/01/2017 19:44

Well , yes when I read through the symptoms, I can see why I couldn't remember the storyline of many of the things I watched over Christmas. Had a bit of a row with dh about not remembering something we watched together, and swearing blind I'd never even heard about it.Blush

The Wire, however is burned into my memory , Molly, Mrs W and Lalsy. How could I forget Jimmy McNulty? Phoar Grin

Another issue I have been experiencing is not remembering what was posted previously and forgetting to mention lovely people. General apologies for that too.BlushSmile

bigTillyMint · 25/01/2017 19:56

Cremo, no need to apologise, you poor thing.

motherinferior · 25/01/2017 19:58

He is also terrific in Pride. Mind you everyone is terrific in Pride. Bill Nighy is a revelation.

Lalsy · 25/01/2017 20:05

Oh god, Pride. Sob.

Grin I did also say, in ringing tones, "But what is it FOR?" at one point.

Crem, lovely Crem, nothing to apologise for and even if there was you have been ill.

Rosebag · 25/01/2017 20:11

DD is rehearing a song from Pride....they are work shopping a piece on the miners strikes for the Spring show. I too loved that film.

Crem your posts were always fine...I wouldn't have noticed but I'm so pleased they can now treat you...fingers crossed you'll soon be fighting fit.

Off to google Hush sample sale.....

Blackduck · 25/01/2017 20:33

Cremo so glad you have a diagnosis! Hope the injections help. Can't do March I'm afraid as Dp is away that weekend so I'm on dog/boy duty.

So that's three MUs in a row :(

Molly fingers crossed for you too.

Work is still in the realms of impossible, but (like buses) three possible jobs are on the horizon so I'll be busy with applications.

herbaceous · 25/01/2017 21:00

Re meet ups, I'm a 'possible' for 11th, but a 'definite' for 24th... Hope that helps!

Crem - so glad you've got something wrong with you that can be cured! Must be a relief. Made me clutch at a straw that it could be mum's problem, too, and am tempted to inject her with B vitamins next time I see her...

Auriga - will PM you details of our our Matty Pash, but would be a little embarrassed by it - it's not 'proper', as we'll be having a non-Baroque orchestra, and are singing it in English.

Just returned from loooooong day. DS to school for 8.30, drive to adult ed place, teach all morning, admin and meetings all afternoon, pick up DS, take him to choir, take him and chum home. DP has cooked a curry which we shall watch in front of No Offence, and I shall continue not to understand what the hell is going on.

Cremolafoam · 25/01/2017 21:20

eeup, I love No Offence. also pretending to understand the plot

CointreauVersial · 25/01/2017 21:42

Monty - re: 24th - in my humble opinion, 6.30pm dinner is too early! No time for cocktails, especially if one lives an hour outside London and finishes work at 5.30pm (i.e. me!). Can I put in a request that we go for 8pm dinner instead? Especially as you are raising a glass to WAF and my 50th birthdays

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/01/2017 21:46

Isn't it great - all those fab female characters. Love Joanna Scanlon especially... watching right now.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/01/2017 21:47

Seconded CV.

MontserratCaballe · 25/01/2017 22:57

No problem - I will ring and change tomorrow to the later time Smile

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/01/2017 23:02

Woahhhh. What do the rest of the punters think??

MontserratCaballe · 25/01/2017 23:08

But CV is one of the birthday girls - as are Mrs S, Waf and someone else. Sorry I can't remember who. So many birthdays.

herbaceous · 25/01/2017 23:09

Later is better for me, too, due to needing to wait until the return of DP until I can leave the house.

Ps. Crem - I had never noticed you not replying to people. And even if you did, at least you have an excuse - I am just rude!

Twinklyfaerieglade · 25/01/2017 23:22

Newish to MN. Read a few crepey threads, which seem very friendly and talk about stuff I am dealing with.
What is crepey? I have a theory, which speaks to my elderly more mature stage of life, but I may be wrong Confused

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/01/2017 23:23

You are spot on, Twinkly, and welcome. Smile Please stay, we are all lovely, and were all new to the thread at some point.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/01/2017 23:28

Hi Twinkly!

Mrs S, What time do you want your dinner?!
