Shop I get mine from this website always go for Asics (sp?) ....had my gait analysed a few years ago felt a prat running up and down the road in normal clothes and running trainers .

Have worn my new Jigsaw winter plum Hmm coat this weekend.....with MN animal scarf on Saturday and today with Mulberry cashmere grey plaid. Absolutely love the coat guess what I'll be wearing to the MU

Everyone what do you wear on your feet with your skirts? Need inspiration. Ankle boots never work for me with skirts. Worry knee boots look a bit meh.

littleredlipstick · 29/01/2017 20:14

Back home very worn out ended up in Camden having a walk round.

There was a stall making Italian sandwiches which you could have raclette on.

Then we found a restaurant called www.androuet.co.uk/ which served raclette and fondue but was a bit late as I had demolished the sandwich from the stall by then!

shopafrolic · 29/01/2017 21:20

I can't imagine me ever doing a meaningful amount of running Grin I will bob about a bit on the cross trainer though.

OP posts:
FedupNagging · 29/01/2017 21:25

I knew what a raclette was preens - only because a friend was given one like this!

Can't help on the serious trainer front I'm afraid - I have NB's which don't get much wear Blush and reebok classic (I think) were really good when I played a lot of badminton.

I picked up the Oasis jumper earlier but it will be going straight back - I'm very Sad. Love everything about it except the neckline - the round neck is too high for me so looks wrong. May take another punt on a jigsaw jumper since I like so many. I may just have had a dodgy one.

libertydoddle · 29/01/2017 21:31

shop all the personal trainers at my gym wear Brooks GTS trainers. Very supportive shoes, good for running. I have really bad knees and I can run 20 mins in these no problems. Nothing trendy about them at all though, purely functional.

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 21:36

Agree shop, it's worth having your gait analysed if you're going on the treadmill. Most shops have treadmills to watch you on as well as making you run up the road a la dry

dry I'm hoping by the end of March that we won't need big coats for the mu. I have visions of spring by then.

Interesting blog post by the frugality about authenticity.
I've noticed a lot of bloggers on IG are wearing fishnet popsox. I'm finally in fashion Grin. I also saw the m&s jumper that's getting a lot of IG love and I don't get it at all. It looked a bit acrylic and nasty to me Confused

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 21:37

This jumper

VivaVegas · 29/01/2017 21:47

shop I wear Asics gel nimbus for inside sport and Mizuno wave rider for outside runs, the later are so comfortable as I had my gait analysed to help pick them and they have custom insoles. I only did all that when I was marathon training last year so unless your planning to pound the streets just get something comfortable and supportive!

Everyonelovessparkles · 30/01/2017 08:21

Very exciting shop about the nice health club. Glad minishop enjoyed his party.

dry with more casual outfits (knee length denim skirt, navy button through cord skirt, berry cord skirt, denim dress etc) I tend to wear my tan heeled ankle boots or Chelsea boots or my leopard print m&s loafers (which I think dream has too) these have been a really good buy as have worn them loads. If I'm
going out or into the office I would wear my black suede lkbennet ankle boots or my pointy patent flats that I wore to the MU (I think they're a bit like your KG ones but these are from jones). I haven't worn my knee boots at all this winter either. The black ankle boots are quite fitted whereas the tan ones are more lose around the ankle which I guess could make legs look shorter. I hardly wear any proper heels any more as just have too much walking to do. I'm all about the comfort. Smile I used to wear black patent ballet flats with smarter outfits too but didn't get any this year and haven't really missed them.

queencerulean · 30/01/2017 10:27

sag awards. Nothing has really wowed me

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 30/01/2017 11:21

Wow queenc. Most of the dresses are horrible (so many sheer ones!) and the photographer has managed to make so many of them look really short and wider than they are.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 30/01/2017 13:18

Hi all, just popping in to say hello - will be brief as too much to catch up on!

Shop glad DS's birthday went well.

Is it your DD's soon, Lib and I think there are a few others around now? Lara's DD and Amber's I think?

Lovely coat Dry - I'm intrigued as to the green sale coat you got rid of, it wasn't a Zara one was it?

Marsha I will be interested to hear how you get on with the shirt you ordered. I also got something in the Me and Em extra discount - this scarf which hasn't arrived yet. I do like some of their blouses though

Everyone embarrassing to say but I quite like M&S Grin I think the beauty section is seen as universally good, I may be on my own with the clothes. As well as Nuxe and Ren, I like some of the Rosie lipsticks (just the colours, haven't bought so can't comment on leongevity) and also Best of British is always worth a look (especially in the sale). I quite like their shoes and also leather bags. Let me know if you are looking for anything specific and I can keep an eye out.

I found myself in John Lewis the other day - nice to see Hush and Finery stuff in the flesh. There were a lot of things on sale and I bought these shoes which I've had my eye on for a while and seem to be sold out everywhere. I also got the Seasalt coat Lib and Dry have - sadly not on sale. I can already vouch it is very warm though.

My OOTD is denim midi dress from Warehouse, Hudson wistow chelsea boots and afore mentioned coat. Not v exciting but warm and practical for a day of food shopping / school run.

libertydoddle · 30/01/2017 15:50

Love the Finery shoes Bernice. It was DD's birthday at the beginning of January, seems like ages ago now. Had a party in Ireland and here so she did well! Which colour did you get in the Seasalt coat?

Have just waved off DB and SIL who were here for last few days. I am really tired. Had to stop working at lunchtime as I just couldn't get anything done. Hope I am not coming down with anything.

OOTD, olive People tree joggers, cream heatech, beige Goat cashmere cardigan, leopard print scarf, olive Puma suede trainers.

Everyonelovessparkles · 30/01/2017 17:09

I agree queenc and blair re the sag dresses. I just thought that many of them COULD have been nice but there was a but on so many - Selma Hayek could have looked nice if it wasn't for that big pink flower, Claire Foys dress looked like 2 dresses merged, Bryce Dallas Howard's dress was classic but just didn't seem to do much for her round the stomach etc

bernice it's not that I don't like m&s, like you I have had many good buys in there over the years, it's just when I looked what was online the other day, it seemed pretty poor. Sometimes it does look better in the shop though. My office is in the same building as some of their offices and the m&s store near us always seems to have the latest stock. I like that scarf you linked.

Hope you had a nice time with your DB lib. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling great. You've been so busy lately, I'm not surprised you're feeling a bit under the weather. Your OOTD still sounds stylish though Smile

I've got a day trip to Brussels tomorrow. It's one of those annoying trips where the meeting time doesn't quite tally up with the train times, so it's going to be a really long day with lots of hanging around for a two hour meeting. Hmm

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/01/2017 17:41

phew, finally got everything sorted at the doctors so i can get my medication with no issue. Has been a rough few days as i ran out of my painkillers on Thursday and couldn't get a prescription until today when i could see a doctor. happily though, she is fully on board with me having more responsibility for my medication and is happy to do longer prescriptions so i won't run out again. It also happens that her two specialities are gynae and dermatology, both fo which i need help with so she was a good doctor to choose. she has also said she's more than happy to do me a referral to the pain clinic in london so maybe things will move forward now towards me getting the surgery i was promised!

Outfit today was a mid blue swing dress, black tights and black dr marten boots.

in happy news, since i was alst weighed around 3 months ago, i have lost TWO STONE SIX POUNDS!!!! not a lot int he grand scheme of things when you consider how much i need to lose but it's a huge step forward to actually shifting the weight finally. Very pleased with it. In somewhat bizarre news though, I have lost 2 inches off my height and am now officially measured at 4'9'' inches exactly!!! I do believe it is my fate to become Mrs PepperPot if anyone but me knows who that is (book character for those who might not know!)

Drywhitethanks · 30/01/2017 18:15

Bernice the green coat was bought from an independent and by a company called Essentiel, Antwerp. Gorgeous fabric, beautiful minty green not for a coat though but it's too big really and a wrap style which really doesn't suit me, I'm too short. Have kept it because it was expensive and lovely quality, but if I'm not going to wear it there's no point, I'll just continue feeling bad.

Drywhitethanks · 30/01/2017 18:48

Saw this shirt on a woman yesterday and love the style" would be v useful for work. Sold out and polyester. If anyone sees anything like it please could you let me know? Thanks.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 30/01/2017 19:21

One that's great news all round! Sounds like it's all going well for you down here :)

LinusLovesBretons · 30/01/2017 20:53

That is impressive weight loss again one! And I am happy to hear you have found a dr that you have confidence in and that understands your medical history and your needs.

That's always a worry when you move places and must be especially so for you.

dry Essentiel Antwerp have some great things. The outfit I wore for my civil wedding in London was head to toe Essentiel and I bought it in their flagship store in Antwerp.

The colours really don't suit me looking back now but I have kept everything just because it was such a special day

I loved Viola Davies' dress again and the tux Rachel Evan Wood wore (also again) at the SAG awards but apart from that there was nothing to get excited about.

LinusLovesBretons · 30/01/2017 20:55

Oh I forgot Janelle Monae's Chanel dress. I loved it and preferred it to the one she wore to the GGs

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/01/2017 21:01

thansk linus and blair i am very happy to have found a doctor that i feel comfortable with but who is also straight down to the business of getting me what i need for my health going forward. It's definitely a change in terms of treatment given how badly some of the doctors i have had in the past have been in regards to my treatment or lack of as the case is in some things.

My blood pressure has also dropped which just goes to show how much stress i was under previously. well, it wasn't high before but it has dropped from what it was and i absolutely think it's down to a reduction in stress. I'm also managing more exercise now because i feel more inclined to actually go out and do things rather than just hide at home and the exercise will only do me good.

No fashion news to report, i am still being really good and not buying anything but the bag fund has begun with its first deposit into it. i'm not going to start really looking for what i want until i have a substantial amount in the fund as i don't want to get ahead of myself but i am happy that the saving has started and i am looking forward to window shopping in order to find just the right thing. I have no specific idea in mind of what i want yet but i'll know it when i see it i suppose

Drywhitethanks · 31/01/2017 19:57

Tumbleweed...................

Longislandicetee · 31/01/2017 20:25

Evening! I quite like this warehouse cold shoulder jumper but that would make me a complete sheep, non?

Longislandicetee · 31/01/2017 20:28

Okay looked again and decided that the model has a long torso. It would suit Shop. In the meanwhile really? Now chance of me getting that!

libertydoddle · 31/01/2017 20:29

Not sure I can see you in that Blingy...

V quiet on here ATM.
