Oh no that's crap Shop. The dc won't even notice though. Tell the parents you made it so they think it's a good amateur effort rather than a bad professional job.

VivaVegas · 28/01/2017 15:17

How annoying Shop but rest assured the children won't even notice so don't let it spoil things for you.
Lovely morning at hairdressers having cut and highlights, looks fab and was a nice couple of hours just chilling and doing uninterrupted online shopping...........
Looking forward to drawing dry January to a close later!

LinusLovesBretons · 28/01/2017 15:46

Oh I used to work near Spitalfields when it had been recently gentrified and I loved walking around the new market and the shops at lunchtime.

There is/was this lovely boutique called Precious where I bought some great dresses that were slightly out of my comfort zone but suited me so well.

The owner really knows her stuff and helps you and advises you without being pushy.

That is rubbish about the cake shop but I agree, the children won't even notice! Happy Birthday MiniShop!

littleredlipstick · 28/01/2017 15:58

Thanks for the recommendations! Have just browsed old spitalfields market and bought 2 jumpers from collectif.

About to head down shoreditch high street really enjoying people watching and browsing the market stalls

FedupNagging · 28/01/2017 17:11

Oasis grey floral jumper is on it's way - am very pleased. Am wondering about a leather skirt, well, a faux leather skirt, to go with in a bid to not wear skinnies quite so much.

Sounds like you're enjoying your day Littlered

Shop what a pita re the cake but no, the kids won't care. Hope the party is going with a swing.

We are out for an early dinner tonight followed by the theatre. I'm wearing the HL coated skinnies, magnolia tie neck blouse (wore it to the MU) and Ash jalouse boots.

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/01/2017 17:43

Glad you are a having a nice time littkered.

Agree with mara, lib what a great SA to let you try a few before committing.

fedup how are you getting on eith your samples? I really liked my grey oasis jumper with my leather skirt, go for it if you think you will get wear out of it. I often wear my leather skirts in the day with polo necks or jumpers and think it works well.

What a nuisance about the cake shop, I'm sure the kids won't notice but still annoying.

Hope you had a nice catch up with your friends mara. how was your delicious sounding dinner the other night?

Glad the dress fits linus and you're pleased with it.

Low key family day here so OOTD has just been gap jeans, white long sleeved top, navy cardi and blue patterned scarf with tan ankle boots when out. Feel comfortable in this outfit and I do think the scarf pulls it together, even though I know they are can seem a bit passé. It's now time for a large g&t Grin

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. Wine

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/01/2017 17:44

Meant to say your OOTD sounds great fedup and have a nice time tonight.

Longislandicetee · 28/01/2017 21:12

Hi everyone! No fashion news from me at all but thought I would drop in and say hello to you all. It's been a very long day so in bed already with a cup of tea. Hope those of you that are out are having fun.Smile

MarshaBrady · 28/01/2017 21:17

Evening

Linus love the Vanessa Bruno dress, going to have a look around Asos now

Good call on the jacket Dry and love the winter plum, what a nice sounding colour

Blingy I hope you are feeling better, that thread made me well up, no words, so sad

Lara wow big decision for Alexandra S, 25 years is a long time. Love that Julia scene too

Anna W seems to be stuck in time and not age Confused

Blair feel exactly the same about January, has taken ages to pass. Feb is so much better. There might be early flowers etc which lifts the spirits. And finally, getting paid!

Stokey, Lib, Mara would love to meet you all for a chat, would be great, will put something up on pin, if not up there already

Mara that sounds so yummy, my favourite in fact, love the outfit. Think I might try a VW plaid skirt, must remember where I saw one last

Shop hope you had a lovely party, I'm sure it was ace

I love that dress Fedup, going to follow the link to see if they have other colours

phew long post, will post then link my recent purchase.

Had a great night out last night with friends for Dh's birthday. Quite tipsy. So am home tonight.

MarshaBrady · 28/01/2017 21:19

I finally got round to ordering this as it dropped in price again, and had an extra 10% off, so worth waiting. Not sure about silk shirts for me yet, but worth a try for work.

Me&Em silk shirt will probably lose the tie.

Booked our Easter holiday to sunnier climes, cannot wait!

libertydoddle · 28/01/2017 21:42

Good work on getting the shirt further reduced Marsha Smile

LinusLovesBretons · 28/01/2017 22:44

Good work marsha!

I am going to give my Paige pleather skinnies another go tonight as a colleague of DH's is coming for dinner.

I will wear them with an ivory silk Stella McCartney shirt and some ancient Alaïa flats (black suede lace effect cut out) I hardly ever wear as they are so fragile.

I hope this dresses them down a bit as I feel they are actually too rock chick for my style.

Stokey · 29/01/2017 08:27

Hope ds had a lovely day Shop, bet the dc gobbled up the cake, although annoying when people don't pay attention to detail.

We dog sat yesterday so very much a jeans & sweater day. Kids parties today, I swear their social life outweighs mine.

I got some Boden PJ bottoms for me & DH in the sale. The men's ones are lovely and soft and warm, the women's ones feel like a bit of rag Angry

Marsha have commented on pin.

Stokey · 29/01/2017 08:28

VB dress looked fab Linus.

I always wear my leather leggings with baggy jumpers (mainly because I need to cover my bum!).

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 08:54

Morning all. went out last night and had the most gorgeous food-beetroot and goats cheese bruschetta and butternut squash ravioli. I just wore jeans and a selected femme blouse as I wasn't really in the mood for dressing up.

Went shopping with dm the other day and was disappointed. I was expecting shiny new spring stuff but it was still very wintery with sales dregs. I have to keep reminding myself its still only January. I am so over winter!

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 09:12

I'm struggling to find clothes for anyone but I'll have this bracelet

FedupNagging · 29/01/2017 09:17

Marsha John Lewis had that dress in navy and olive green when I was in there this week. Definitely worth waiting for the silk shirt -it's a classic.

Blingy hope the recovery is going well-are you more mobile now?

Everyone that's exactly the look I was thinking about - leather skirt with jumpers, opaques and boots or brogues. I'm using a different tinted moisturiser each day atm, will let you all know my final choice as I know you are all on tenterhooks Wink

Queen yes, I was expecting more new stock in store too - lots of sales racks but nothing worth buying. Whistles had lots of lovely jumpers but still ££, jigsaw had some good bargains in knitwear but I stayed away.

Loved the stripey jumper someone linked a couple of days ago.

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 09:19

Love this cardi. I've always worn crew necks but I'm considering trying something different

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 09:20

I've been meaning to say that I've got 2 jigsaw jumpers and they've washed really well

queencerulean · 29/01/2017 09:32

love these shoes

littleredlipstick · 29/01/2017 10:51

Morning everyone

Today I am on the hunt for raclette!

Had a great time yesterday ended up at box park last night

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/01/2017 17:54

Did you find it little? Waitrose sell raclette. Annoyingly not the same shape as the dishes on my raclette grill though!

shopafrolic · 29/01/2017 19:00

Evening all! DS loved the cake so all went well. I am exhausted!
I had to google raclette - no idea.
So we're going to be joining the local posh hotel leisure club. So I need trainers for training, not for fashion. Voguettes that gym, what do you wear on your feet? I'm sorted for gym gear but I don't wear shoes for reformer pilates so have no idea.

OP posts:
Dreamqueen · 29/01/2017 19:35

Shop glad that party went well & that minishop had a great birthday. For gym I wear either new balance or some sketchers that are definately not on trend but are really comfy.

I'm another one who had no idea what raclette was until I googled it.

Your dinner sounded fab QueenC

Tomorrow is the start of two weeks strict no carb/booze (except for Sundays) otherwise I'll be mistaken for a beached whale. I'll be very grumoy and going to bed very early.

AmberNectarine · 29/01/2017 19:51

If you intend to do a meaningful amount of running, I would strongly recommend getting your gait analysed shop. I wear Nike lunar eclipse but what works for me won't work for everyone!
