Oops posted too soon! So yes I'm trying out leggings an alternative to jeans. Apart from these I haven't bought a single thing fashion wise.

Queen can you add me to the MU list please? I promise not to turn up in leggings Grin Depending on the weather I might go for the Whistles giraffe dress.

queencerulean · 12/03/2017 07:59

If you do wear those kitty I won't go anyway near you. I have a huge phobia of snakes and those leggings give me the heebie jeebies!!!

Stokey · 12/03/2017 08:12

I like those leggings Kitty. I need some new trendy ones for yoga. What other brands do people recommend?

I got some black & silver stripey socks from &OS at Christmas. I like them but won't be ditching my trainers for them.

I'm sending back my recent order though - dress was quite frumpy - knee-length and Bodenesque on me, & just didn't love the shirt enough.

Like these Frame cropped jeans. They're sold out in my size but if anyone's a 28, they'd be a good buy.

shopafrolic · 12/03/2017 08:44

Love those Kitty
these are mine from Sweaty Betty they do amazing things for my bum Grin

Interesting about the me&em investment Blingy. Sounds like they have a plan of where they want the business to go. I had a quick look on the website but didn't really see anything that grabbed me.

Your interview outfit idea sounded good shop.

I'm sure you look great in the athleisure wear kitty.

Shame about your order stokey but no point keeping stuff if you don't love it.

A miserable morning here after the lovely spring day yesterday. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Everyonelovessparkles · 12/03/2017 08:55

Sorry missed the posts at the page of the previous page. I like the style of the new Chanel bag. I agree with lib, surely trainers and kitten heels are shoes for different occasions?

I like your buys blingy especially the KM jacket and TB dress.

kittyhello · 12/03/2017 09:10

Must have x posted with you Queen, I too have a snake phobia and can't google snake skin shoes fearing what might show up on my screen.

Shop was thinking that those leggings would look good on your lovely long legs Envy

Got a 20% off code for JCrew if anyone wants it. Pm me or I can pin it, it's valid until 31/5

kittyhello · 12/03/2017 09:15

Crikey I've got verbal diarrhoea this morning, I wish we could edit our posts once posted à la FB.

Fedup were you asking about BR Sloan fit trousers, I have a pair and I really like them, they're a good fit too. I think mine are 7/8

Also I need to say goodbye to my trusty black Boden Bistro crop trousers, are the Richmond's a good alternative?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/03/2017 12:45

i'm in for the MU please QueenC it's going to be the first time i have been sort of properly out in London for a while and i'm really excited, it's going to be so brilliant to see you all Smile

bit of a lazy today, i just don't feel like much at all today so OOTD is distressed mid blue skinnies, a grey batman vs superman tee and a blue, green and burgundy checked shirt over the top. got silver bangles on both wrists, my ever present pandora bracelet and a silver unicorn necklace on. Glasses today are my black cats eye dolce and gabbana ones.

I really need to get some sunglasses made. I don't know what i want though but i think i'm going to trawl tkmaxx until i find something i liek and then have them sent to one of the online glasses stores and have prescription lenses put in them. generally the cheapest way to have them done as i have a strong prescription and it ends up costing a fortune in lens thinning to get my lenses to fit anything

thinking about getting some boyfriend cut jeans if i can find any that will fit my ample behind properly and not make me look like the side of a house. the leg matters too as i want something loose enough over the calf that i can turn them up for the summer. I have stupidly large calves so turn ups don't often work for me as jeans wont stretch over my hideous calves! might mean sizing up but with a belt it shouldn't be too much of an issue i think

shopafrolic · 12/03/2017 14:29

Sold a few bits on EBay incl my brown IM Crisi boots and my AH orange maxi zip satchel. £450 made (need to deduct fees) so should be able to get a few nice Spring bits with that. Feel good to get rid of them as they were the last of my Autumn coloured stuff. I am now a fully committed Winter Grin
Horrible day here - took miniShop swimming to the nice pool and have been for lunch locally. Chilling out now - will print CV and sort outfit for tomorrow later.

Ive just been shopping with dd as yet again she has outgrown pretty much all the stuff I bought for her last summer. Primark do a size 4 which fits her perfectly and an added bonus that it's really cheap as she isn't quite as tall as me yet so I reckon still some growing to do. She got loads on on trend stuff such as a bomber jacket, cropped sweatshirt and one of those tees with a vest over the top. I'm trying to teach her well and only to buy stuff that she loves and will suit her lifestyle (she tried on a blazer which looked fab but not really suitable tor the park!)

Sadly, i bought nothing for myself!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/03/2017 15:38

Yay One, looking forward to meeting you at last!

I managed to hit the shops yesterday before a night out with a friend, got & other stories shoes and a couple of work blouses from Uniqlo (1, 2). Feeling a bit down/frustrated with various things atm (Blingy it was a no!) and DH has just been diagnosed with diabetes so I also went to Gucci to get the belt (shallow moi). Apparently they are sold out everywhere in black, I tried on various sizes in other colours and other people were practically grabbing them out of the SA's hands to try them too! But I found my size and have ordered online - am going to have to wear it with everything!

queen I love that Chanel bag, have a thing for hobos. Might be able to afford it in 5 years if I start saving!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/03/2017 15:39

Just reread my post and I sound ridiculous, but sometimes you just need to keep it lighthearted on the thread, you know? Blush

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2017 16:18

Blair not ridiculous at all. It's lovely that a bit of lighthearted vogue stuff can help in amidst the stress. Sorry to hear about your dh, and the no Thanks

Love what you bought

libertydoddle · 12/03/2017 16:50

Oh Blair Flowers. I am a veteran of dealing with poor health with a partner...It's very frustrating. Is he up for managing it do you think? Happy to talk about it if you need too. And sorry to hear too about the other thing. Enjoy the belt - we all need frivolous distractions.

One I am so pleased you can make the MU. Will be great to see you again.

I've decided to stop studying for a while. Just have too much on. But one of the pluses is that I will be at the MU for the day instead of just swinging by late so I can catch up properly with you all.

Kitty great to see you. V cool leggings.

On moving news, this week we had agents round to value the house, carpet cleaners in, booked a person to replace a couple of window panes and most scary of all had the international movers over to make a rough inventory of everything we want to take and to give us a quote for it all. I also booked my medical for my visa. It's a lot of reality. Am feeling ShockConfused and a bit Sad

shopafrolic · 12/03/2017 17:19

Blair sorry to hear about DH's diagnosis and the no. Frivolous is fine. Vogue has helped me through many a shitty situation by being able to talk about lipstick and glad rags. Lots of love.
One glad you can make it
Lib I just put my fingers in my ears and said "la la la not listening" about your moving stuff progressing. I will hate it when you're gone. Glad you have come to the right decision for you about the studying.
So my EBay money is already burning a hole in my pocket. I think I need jeans and shoes for Spring. Will probably splash out on designer jeans, and high street dupe shoes. Wish I had more time in London before our MU but my hair needs lightening again this time so all morning will be spent in the hairdressers........

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2017 18:00

Blair this is the place when we understand that when times are tough a bit of frivolous fashion is just what's needed.

QueenC I read that too, would love a pair of kitten heels, having trouble finding any I like.

kittyhello · 12/03/2017 20:15

Gosh Lib it's all starting to get real Shock glad you've put the brakes on studying it seemed as if you had one too many things on your plate at the moment. Yoga is my "my time" I'm too old for strenuous cardio exercises now, I can't hack being sweaty and out of puff.

Blair sorry to hear about dh's diagnoses and also the no, but as the saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping! We all understand here. xx

One look forward to meeting you at the MU

I'm hoping for a quick look around town before the MU providing I can get my act together and leave the house first thing in the morning.

Dry how's your otter Grin

littleredlipstick · 12/03/2017 21:28

Evening all just relaxing from a day at Alton towers. Corporate buy out for blue light services and armed forces so just the right amount of people and hardly any queues. Plus they revalidated our tickets so we can come back another day for free.

Ootd was black skinny jeans from Dorothy Perkins (they always fit me so well) green Forrest green H&M silky tshirt top the leather jacket I bought the other week and my rocket dog grey boots.

Hope everyone had a good weekend today's weather really made me feel spring had arrived

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2017 21:35

Grin Kitty . Will be more subdued tomorrow.

Little rides with uniforms...how lovely!!!Grin

justasecond · 12/03/2017 22:11

blair sorry to hear about your dh's diagnosis. Hopefully with a few adjustments he will be able to manage the condition. Totally understand using shopping as therapy Smile
one so glad you are coming to the mu too! btw I am in queenc
little alton towers without queues sounds good!
lib I was worried I might miss you at the mu but glad you'll be there all day Smile good decision re the putting the study on hold.
kitty I love those leggings
blingy great shopping. Love the shoes esp

My shopping trip on friday was not fruitful, came back with a load of stuff for the dc instead. Good to know primark do size 4 queenc although my dd, a small 12 year old does well in H&M xs.
I saw these trousers in Topshop but no size so ordered them when I got back black trousers
The kate moss equipment shirt with heart print arrived and it is lovely, really good quality silk and fits so well. Don't think it looks too girly because of the black background.

Longislandicetee · 13/03/2017 08:03

Good morning!

Just wanted to wish Shop best of luck this morning. I am sure you will be fabulous - both outside and content.

Blair - I am so sorry. Sometimes it just pours doesn't it? Hopefully MrBlair will master what he needs to do to manage the diabetes quickly. And on the no - imho its definitely their loss. Don't take it to heart, but use the experience to look elsewhere. Can i suggest that you get feedback from them on why they made that silly decision so that you can use it to help you? Only if you're feeling brave.Flowers

Last night ds had the most horrible horrible meltdown which lasted about an hour and where he got physical as well. It's the latest in a spiralling of his behaviour - absolutely gorgeous one minute but tantruming like a 2 year old the next. No idea where it has come from, from very depressing. Same thing happened with dd at this age and it was a very stressful time in the family. When they got to bed, i relieved the stress by trying on my new Selfridges purchases. Got to love next day delivery.Smile The Karen Millen cardigan and Michael Kors jumpsuits are keepers (the latter needs about 6 inches lopped off!) and the Ted Baker dress, i am going to wait till my period comes, and goes before i try on again as it felt tight.

Happy day to you all! Its glorious outside!

shopafrolic · 13/03/2017 08:07

Thanks Blingy x

Ah blingy, we've all been there. Just as you think you're sorted, one will develop a phase and it all becomes hideous. I'm pretty sure boys get testosterone surges. Every so often ds gets really aggressive and just full of something that makes him want to fight. It calms down after a couple of days. Luckily since dd has started her periods her moods are so much better and we acyally have quite a good relationship now.

blair so sorry to hear about dh. How is it to be managed? Is it type 1 or 2. If it's 2 there seems to be quite a lot of research/eveidence into being able to reverse it with diet.

So, for the meet up I have a v large gang:
Myself
shop
dry
marsha
blair
justa
one
sleep
lib
dream
mara
amber
kitty

Have I missed anyone??
stokey is still unsure
blingy I can't remember what you said...
everyone and bernice what about you two?

I know that fedup and topaz definitely can't make it.

kittyhello · 13/03/2017 11:33

Just popping on quickly to say, good luck to Shop and hope you get that yes

Blingy glad he finally calmed down and hope it was a one off that doesn't return. Flowers

Stokey I also bought these leggings they seem to have good reviews and fit really well. The Varley's haven'y arrived yet so I can't compare and they probably won't compare but for the price they look good on.
