The Whistles jumper has arrived and is going straight back!
It is navy and off white so not crisp enough for me, too short in the body and the sleeves are weirdly puffy at the wrists. Not good on me at all.
So only one striped top added to the wardrobe Blingy and I'm wearing it today so it must be good. x

So funny Shop!

I love that pony clutch. Lovely bag.

Very casual look for me today - J crew check shirt under a cream cable sweater) and j crew toothpick jeans and RB ballet flat. I spent the morning at the hairdressers but sadly no where for me to go tonight except watch dh watch the rugby!

On a semi fashion related note, I have spent time this afternoon trying to work out if i am going to part with some of my hard earned cash and invest in Me & Em. Still haven't decided yet but it's interesting reading their growth plans and where they see themselves in the world.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2017 17:59

Ooo exciting Blingy would love to know what their plans are as they seem to have lost their way a bit.

Evening all - coming to you live from Dublin.

I recently bought my first Breton in a long time this boy - mainly because it has a banana on it!

Finally wearing these shoes. Fell in love with them in the summer but even in the sale they were too £££ for such a frivolous purchase, but lovely DH secretly got them for me and surprised me at Xmas 😊.

libertydoddle · 10/03/2017 21:54

Those shoes are fabulous amber. Hope you have a great night in Dublin.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/03/2017 23:17

those shoes are amazing Amber i so wish i could wear heels like that! have a great time in Dublin

no real fashion news to report, I bought a make up revolution eye shadow pallete but that's it. Some of my older ones didn't survive the trip to london so the one i bought replaced six or seven i threw out. OOTD was a blue circle skirt with birds printed on it, a black long sleeved turtle neck underneath a black sleeveless, sheer, bird collared shirt. Wore my neon green converse hi tops with it when i was briefly out this afternoon. Then spent the rest of the afternoon dong admin work for the flat and then napping. Need to sort a washing machine repair job for the flat, it's leaking water underneath when it hits the rinse cycle. we are debating just putting a new machine in, the one currently in is older than we'd like

FedupNagging · 11/03/2017 07:42

This grey jacket is suitable for work, according to Asos Hmm. Just trying to work out which one of you professionals could carry off the look!

Morning all, btw Smile

queencerulean · 11/03/2017 08:13

Some of my patients may like it fedup Wink
Love those shoes amber and also the banana!
shop I find whistles tops come up short too.

I've invested in an online shopping experience with my colour consultant. She will create 2 pin boards for me, 1 as inspiration and 1 with shopping links. I'm excited to see what she picks out for me!

FedupNagging · 11/03/2017 09:00

That sounds interesting Queen - don't forget to share with the rest of us.

Gorgeous shoes Amber. Hope you're having fun.

Mara you're so right about older jeans/trousers not looking quite right; I binned the black jeans and have consigned another couple of pairs to the charity pile.

Funny typo Dry; you otter preview before posting Grin. I haven't bought any trainers recently - still trying to decide what style/colour but can't seem to make a decision.

Shame about the Whistles jumper Shop; I love the EC sweatshirt. What will you wear on Monday?

FedupNagging · 11/03/2017 09:09

Lovely blouse Justa - forgot to mention and great bag and a bargain Viva

I picked up a leather animal print crossbody/clutch in Italy back in January but can't find a pic (from a small indie shop) almost identical to this bag; I love it and have used it a lot

Longislandicetee · 11/03/2017 09:28

Morning! Those shoes are gorgeous Amber though not a cat in hell of me wearing anything like that at the moment! Your link caused me to have a shoe browse and I saw these Aquazzura suede sandals for work. But my eyes keep drifting to some of the more lush sandals!

FedUp I can safely assure you that I wouldn't wear that jacket for workGrin. Love that clutch too.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2017 10:19

No idea yet Fedup - am currently lounging by the pool reading Grazia and trying not to think about it Grin
Probably black jeans, silk shirt and HL blazer. Not sure about feet (rare for me not to plan bottom up).

Im slightly in love with this bonkers bag

Longislandicetee · 11/03/2017 13:28

Good lord! £1,225

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/03/2017 14:04

Interesting jacket fedup. There might only be one type of profession where you could get away with something like that. Nice bag. I think leopard print accessories are really versatile.

Shame about the jumper shop. Whistles sizing does seem a bit all over the place these last couple of seasons. Good luck for monday.

Interesting about the boards queenc. Hope you like what she picks for you.

You outfits this week sound great blingy - are they a bit of a departure from your usual work wardrobe? Hope you are feeling better.

justa hope your parents are both on the mend too.

They are cool shoes amber and how thoughtful of your DH. Hope you enjoy your nights away.

Lovely spring day here. OOTD is a pale pink hobbs jumper with lace yolk/yoke (?) detailing and knee length denim skirt and tan Chelsea boots. The nice weather has made me think about my short list for SS of summer sandals, swimming costume /bikini and jeans. I quite like these flat sandal but ideally I would like something with a bit more of a heel than totally flat. I quite like these too. How are you getting on with your Boden swimwear shop?

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/03/2017 14:10

That bag is slightly bonkers queenc but I know what you mean about being attracted to it. There is something about it. Not at that price though Grin

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2017 16:01

That bag is so sweet. I wouldn't buy it, but it looks so delectable

Longislandicetee · 11/03/2017 18:02

Evening! I have had a busy day interspersed with some online shopping.....From Selfridges, where I got this Karen Millen knitted jacket, a Ted Baker skater dress (the florals are far enough away from my faceGrin) and a Michael Kors jumpsuit. And from the Outnet, where i got a DvF cardigan, Chloe lace up ballet flats (love the 50% off!) and Michael Kors cropped jeans. A real mixture of some of favourite brands.

Everyone, yes I am usually dressed in a more formal way for work. My go to dresses over the last few years have been Roland Mouret, Armani, with a handful of LK Bennett, MaxMara, and Me & Em thrown in. Speaking of which...

Shop, so i decided to invest in Me&EM. (Before i continue i should say that this is not encouragement for anyone else especially lurkers to invest, the chances of seeing any money back are close to zero than 50% and even if i do, i won't see it back for a 10 years). So with that off my chest.... so it's quite interesting from a fashion point of view. They have actually had a 20% increase in revenue over the last year from something like £3.8m to just over £5m and they have 1.5m hits to their website last year, which is massively up from the previous year. They haven't made a profit, they're still young to do so. So despite the fact that we keep moaning that they should go back to their roots and make those lovely dresses again, they are clearly appealing to lots of people. Personally i think their big appeal is that they have been worn by the Duchess of Cambridge and a couple of celebs and so they have that cache, however, some of their clothes this season are totally impractical for the premium brand clothes market. This is important because the main shoppers in that market are professional women, but as it is not aimed at teeny boppers, it means that we usually have children in tow. Impractical clothes not very helpful then! However, there are enough people who will slavishly follow the celebs which is why they have had huge increase in their websites visits, despite the fact that its been a long time since the DoC was spotted in that Breton. The reason why they fund raising is to invest in their digital content, experience etc to increase their chances of converting more of those 1.5m website visits into actual revenues. Oh and for some bizarre reason they want to open another shop. If they can get it right, then i think they would become profitable and become attractive to a buyer and i am quids in. However, it's a big IF! Sorry for the essay but as i said its interesting to me from both a fashion, business and investor perspective - 3 of the things i am passionate about all rolled into one!

Dh and I are out this evening for the first time in 4 months....have lovely evenings all!Smile

shopafrolic · 11/03/2017 20:07

Do they know you're on this thread Blingy? Feel Iike you're giving away all their secrets but I guess most of it is in the public domain?
I visit their website loads - never buy anymore. Too £££ for me and probably a bit too formal.

Hi Voguettes,

Popping in briefly, sipping champagne while dh is preparing us a very late but light dinner - red mullet fillets with tomato salad, yum.

Love blingy's lace up flats and Amber's banana Breton.

I saw recently that me&em have a pop up in belgravia on Elizabeth st, thought that seemed a v good idea.

Got to go, dinner ready, back tomorrow!

queencerulean · 12/03/2017 07:06

According to style magazine, trainers are over (all about the kitten heel) and we should be wearing statement socks.

gucci for £285 Grin

queencerulean · 12/03/2017 07:09

Ive never been a pandora fan but I do like these floating lockets

queencerulean · 12/03/2017 07:12

Chanel have a new it bag

libertydoddle · 12/03/2017 07:34

Oh that bag is nice.
WTF at the socks!!!
ST Style can say what they like. I can't see the average woman trading in her trainers for kitten heels.

kittyhello · 12/03/2017 07:44

Morning all, long time no post. Just had a quick read through.

Great buys yesterday Blingy love the shoes

Was getting bored of wearing jeans and am starting to see the appeal of athleisure. So have bought some Varley leggings
