i would say yes, the headaches are caffeine withdrawal Stokey they should pass in a day or two though hope they aren't too painful for you

lib i'm sorry to hear you are so stressed out Sad i hope you can find a way to claw back some time just for you, you sound like you are in desperate need of it. fingers crossed things improve when you deliver your project Thanks

lost most of yesterday to a hideous migraine, it came out of nowhere and i haven't really had one in a long time so it pretty much floored me. feel a bit delicate today, like i have a hangover but that comes with the migraine, the day after, sometimes two days after are usually a bust and i end up doing nothing because i feel rubbish

really need to sort the storage in this room, we don't have much as obviously, all our stuff is in one room but i think we can find a way, somehow, to make it better than it is. will have a think on it and see what i can come up with. it is definitely limiting my shopping opportunities though as there's nowhere to put anything new Grin

Drywhitethanks · 02/03/2017 18:05

Can I just say something ?

Everyonelovessparkles · 02/03/2017 18:08

Nice bag fairy and glad you have decided about the ring. It was very pretty.

Headaches and migraines don't sound good one and stokey. I've been trying to cut down on coffee (Caf and decaf) and have found hot water and lemon quite refreshing. Though you need a decent chunk of lemon to make it have any taste.

Hope you are feeling a bit better lib and that your DH is on the mend too. FlowersWine

Hope the Bicester trip is fruitful amber. Looking forward to hearing about your purchases.

Off out tonight for drinks with friends. Wearing my jigsaw black leather skirt, grey oasis embroidered jumper and black lk Bennett suede ankle boots.

Everyonelovessparkles · 02/03/2017 18:11

Meant to ask, regarding the 25th, how late will people be staying? Only DH's uncle is over from France and the 25th is the only date he can see us Hmm, so we've been summoned to the MILs for lunch. I really want to see you ladies again but probably won't be able to meet until 6/6.30. Will people still be around?

Drywhitethanks · 02/03/2017 18:18

Re headaches and caffeine....I gave up coffee a few years back, head aches were so bad and I like the buzz that I quit

libertydoddle · 02/03/2017 18:43

Thanks all for all the lovely comments and advice. I was on AD's for a while and stopped a few months ago. I'm going to start again just until I get exams over. I'm sorry so many others feel the same but also feel a bit better that it's not just me. Blingy you are spot on, DH's op has just been the Jenga block that has tipped me over.

I'll go back over all the suggestions properly at the weekend and think about what I can do. I've cancelled loads of meetings/calls next week and cleared my diary a bit.

Love the Laurent tote fairy.

Everyone I will only arrive at MU at 5.30pm so you won't be alone!

libertydoddle · 02/03/2017 18:44

dry but you are so good at junk modelling Grin. How was world book day at your school?

maradesbois · 02/03/2017 19:06

Hello,

Justa so good to hear from you. So sorry about your family health issues but sounds like your df is managing it well. Great news that you are coming to the mu.

Everyone depends but I should definitely be around until 8ish. The issue is people travelling from far afield for the day who have to leave to catch trains.

Stokey you're a brave woman giving up caffeine! I have given up sugar, don't even have a sweet tooth but have noticed am snacking too much recently on bits of chocolate or cake at work and want to knock it on the head.

lib not sure I have anything to add to the good advice already given except to say that you are amazing managing all that you do. Agree about to-do lists not working, I am a great one for writing them then never looking at the bloody thing again. I think that for you a bit of time for exercise and beauty treatments etc is important for your wellbeing so maybe this should be a priority once dh is recovered and fully in charge at home again. How much longer do you have to go with the mba? Have no idea how you manage that and a ft breadwinning job.

Gah, on my way home on the slowest bus in the world, going to be late for the nanny. My social life has taken a turn for the better since starting work though, think being in town already makes it easier to organise things. Out with school mums locally tonight then in soho with friends tomorrow, for tomorrow think i'all wear camo equipment shirt with mih flares and black ankle boots.

shopafrolic · 02/03/2017 19:21

On my way to see 50 shades of shite but just wanted to raise up my hands and praise the fabulous Dry
Took DS swimming after world book day - only pirate in that changing room I can tell you Grin

Evening all.

Dh and I both woke up very early and decided to err take advantage of the early start. In the midst dh suddenly stopped and I opened my eyes to see dd stood next to me and saying "What's daddy doing to you mummy?". Oh God. Thank goodness for duvets.

An hour later......Dd at the breakfast table "It was sooooo funny mummy when daddy was tickling you this morning and you were punching the pillow". I spent the whole day thinking "please don't let her repeat this story at school. Please." Blush My face has been a 100 degree furnace the whole day.

I really need to get her to knock.

Lib glad you cancelled the meetings Flowers

AmberNectarine · 02/03/2017 20:35

If it makes you feel better blingy, DD dropped the C-bomb the other day. Used it totally in context too. The shame of it.

AmberNectarine · 02/03/2017 20:41

I've actually realised I won't be staying late at the MU because I'm going to see Craig David that night! I will be there for lunch though.

Postponed my Bicester trip as my mum is a bit under the weather, so will go in two weeks (off to the Emerald Isle next weekend). Will go local shopping instead!

Longislandicetee · 02/03/2017 21:02

Shock oh no Amber! Poor you Shock

I may miss you at the MU as I have so much on that day :(

DryWhiteagain · 02/03/2017 21:30

Evening all just going to catch up on all the posts.

Just nipped out to the shops looking for a denim dress and ended up buying this jacket in the sale.

Regretting not buying the shoes from Bicester last Sunday they are playing on my mind think they will be nice spring/summer shoes with white cropped jeans maybe.

Skim reading as usual, still not caught up at work/home after the holiday.

I sympathise with those who struggle to juggle as I'm the same. Having a full on full time job and trying to do the home job as wife and mother is bloody hard. I'd love to drop to a 4 day week but my company won't support it at my level so I outsource as much as I can and muddle along, exploding every so often when it all gets too much!

I have the Whistles giraffe dress Fairy it's lovely but comes up huge.

So glad it's nearly the weekend!

shopafrolic · 03/03/2017 08:10

look at all the blouses Dry

Littlered I have those shoes! Love the jacket.

shopafrolic · 03/03/2017 17:51

I just watched the Dior Ready to Wear show streamed on FB. Such a dull dull colour palette. I'm feeling very uninspired.

Fairy so jealous I may end up calling jimmy choo and seeing if they have my size in stock

Longislandicetee · 03/03/2017 19:58

Hello! Is everyone doing something exciting on a Friday night?

I opened my Selfridges box today and it was definitely the happiest that i have been with a delivery, with everything a keeper.

So if you remember my angst over spending a royal fortune on a dress that i thought might not suit me.... but the the Alexander McQueen dress ended up being exquisite. I am really looking forward to wearing it. The Ted Baker dress is absolutely gorgeous and a winner, thank you Blair. I am wearing the Whistles Breton top - it is really gorgeous and i would say that it looks even better than the picture. The only thing is that it is slightly loose but the 6 is the smallest they do in that top but i decided that since it's just a run around with the kids on a weekend top that i could live with it. It feels really nice as well.

In other news, I was discharged by my surgeon today so I am now going to start physiotherapy. I am progressing well just slowly. What i have come to realise over the last few weeks, is that it is going to be another 6 months before i am properly back to normal so I wasn't even upset when my lovely surgeon said as much. He is a sweetheart and gave me all his contact details and said to call him at anytime if i had any concerns.

There are a couple more things that i am stalking from a clothes perspective. Relative to the McQueen dress they are cheap, so i should probably just get them and stop ditheringGrin

Hope everyone is having a nice evening!

DryWhiteagain · 03/03/2017 20:35

Shop is that code?
What blouses should I be looking at?
And since I've reregistered strange things are happening....am I the only one who sees Shop's posts in green? Confused

DryWhiteagain · 03/03/2017 20:52

ignore that Shop I've just seen beyond the green that it's a link.....lovely stuff .....

Longislandicetee · 03/03/2017 21:07

Dry, as Shop started the thread, you must have the set up so that her posts are always on in a different colour. Doesn't make a different on this thread, but very helpful on others! That's how mine is set up too.

I have just been looking at Rockstud flats for the gazillionth time. Sigh.

libertydoddle · 03/03/2017 21:47

Great that the McQ is a keeper Blingy. It's a stunning dress. You should go for the Rockstud flats. You need some fabulous flats. Think of them as aiding recovery as you'll need something to keep you away from the heels.
