littleredlipstick · 21/02/2017 12:17

I'm thinking a denim dress maybe with those boots but not sure on the colour maybe a lighter wash one

libertydoddle · 21/02/2017 12:48

Ohhh is it a keeper shop?

Drywhitethanks · 21/02/2017 13:21

Darn.....having spent an hour with an Americano with extra shot and Grazia fashion edition I'm now lusting after some kitten heels, sling backs or mules........hardly any on high st though which is annoying as they're the next big thing Hmm

Bag verdict Shop?

littleredlipstick · 21/02/2017 14:01

Seen some lovely mules in kurt Geiger

BerniceBobsHerHair · 21/02/2017 14:16

Interested to hear about the bag Shop.

Lovely shopping Mara the Equipment shirt is a bit like mine which I have enjoyed wearing. I think yours is a bit more casual. I really like that dress you linked, I saw it on your pin too. Will be lovely for summer. Are you still at your work?

Well done for sticking to your no shopping Lib - what is your secret??

I like those boots Littlered but don't think I have anything to add about styling, they look like they would go with most things especially as the weather gets milder crosses fingers

I've made a very none Spring purchase of these boots - really pleased with them though.

Wishlist wise I would like some 'going out' shoes (comfortable ones!) and cargo trousers - always want a pair of these but never seem to find a pair that is right Confused

BerniceBobsHerHair · 21/02/2017 14:16

What kind of mules / kitten heels Dry?

BerniceBobsHerHair · 21/02/2017 14:39

Was anyone still looking for a denim dress?

I've seen these two that look nice:
People tree
Jaeger

littleredlipstick · 21/02/2017 15:23

Arty phone went weird these were the miles I saw in Kurt Geiger really pretty

Argh** and mules auto correct Hmm

shopafrolic · 21/02/2017 17:09

Bag is definitely a keeper. Really nice leather, useful internal pockets, fastens with a popper which I hadn't realised. Slightly smaller than I had imagined but that is actually a good thing I think.

Good news on the bag Shop, I think a medium size tote bag is a good thing, mine are too big now that am pretty much past carting round young dc paraphernalia.

QueenC I could see you wearing brogues styled in a similar way to linus.

lib well done indeed, thought I was doing well with one month!

Bernice am surprised you don't have cargo pants already, can totally picture you rocking them.

littlered can see the boots being difficult to wear in winter but should be easier now the weather is a bit better. Not sure the buckles will work with skirts or cropped trousers but could be wrong. They would look good with pale skinnies.

Has anyone got any London theatre recommendations btw? For a play, not musical. I owe my dsis a birthday present but still haven't got round to book My anything.

Drywhitethanks · 21/02/2017 21:04

Lots of mules with kitten heels in magazines, guess sling backs are more sensible though

FedupNagging · 21/02/2017 21:50

I can't seem to keep up with MNV at the moment - I'm working more I guess, reading more and buying less. Oh, and I've been out a lot lately too.

Queen brogues are a very useful crossover shoe - I've been wearing mine a lot over the last couple weeks but they only look good with either my wide leg trousers or skinnies that are just on the ankle. I think it helps that they are not too masculine.

Bernice thanks for the Hush code offer - they sent me another one however I tried the jacket on in JL yesterday and decided it was too much like a baggy cardi so won't be buying.

Mara love the Viveta dress you are lusting after - so pretty.

Fab boots Littlered (& yours Bernice), let us know how you end up styling them. Hope you enjoy Bath.

I can't do mules anymore but am rather fond of a kitten heel with 7/8's so will dust off the couple of pairs lurking in my wardrobe.

Ootd was the Whistles zebra print dress with opaques and metallic chelsea boots - I loved it and had several positive comments - always a bonus.

shopafrolic · 21/02/2017 22:09

Outfit sounds fab Fedup especially the boots.
thoughts on these? have I gone mad?
And those that know me could I do these?
Or am I losing it? Talk me down ladies.

I like the boots Shop but I don't see you as someone who does floral patterns anywhere. If you are going for patterned boots I think you need something a bit funkier or edgy.

I'm very undecided on the flatform brogues for you. I think they could be too masculine...but then that might also work. How would style them?

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/02/2017 09:56

Well done on the no spend lib. My trip went ok thanks. The 2hour time difference is a bit of a killer for an overnight trip though.

Glad the bag is a keeper shop. I can recommend a denim dress. I've worn my monsoon one loads this winter and it makes a nice change from jeans / top or skirt / top. They can also take a heavier shoe/ boot than other dresses.

Nice to see you back mara. Great hat! That dress is pretty too. Hope work is a bit better.

I think there seem to be some nice shoes out there for spring/summer. I saw some pretty KG sandals on fearne cotton that are available end of the month. There also seems to be some nice shoes in lk Bennett.

A grey and windy day here today. OOTD is short denim mini and navy striped Breton. It's nice to wear a skirt for a change sometimes!

queencerulean · 22/02/2017 10:04

shop I utterly adore those embroidered boots and was umming and aahing myself over them! I think you could do them as although they're floral they're not overly girly. Have you seen the topshop ones with bees on? Love those too. I'm not sure about the brogues-again I've been looking at the platform type ones and am undecided. Try them and see if they work. I've ordered the clarks brogues in grey and also some boots and trainers from office (will link once they arrive). I've decided that I need some different options of winter/spring shoe wear to stop the boredom before I can get my summer favourites out.

Stokey · 22/02/2017 14:26

Hello fashion pack, just popping in for a brief wave

I've been a bit absent as am just not thinking about clothes much at the moment. Think I'm suffering from the same winter doldrums as the rest of you. I haven't been to the actual shops for ages so feel a bit out of touch.

I'm not sure about the floral boots for you either Shop. Would you wear them with jeans?

I can definitely see you in brogues QueenC. I haven't worn mine for ages but may break them out come spring.

shopafrolic · 22/02/2017 18:41

Hindsight says neither are for me. Thanks ladies. That is why I rarely online shop at night - too risky Grin

OP posts:
FedupNagging · 22/02/2017 18:51

Shop, I was going to say no to the boots but definitely try the flatforms - you may be surprised. No point making a purchase if you don't feel happy about them though.

Hi Stokey, how is the kitchen planning coming along?

Not heard from Topaz in ages - are you still around?

Sadly no fashion news; my plans to wear a springlike outfit today with brogues was scuppered by the appalling weather so wore skinnies (what else?), jumper and boots.

maradesbois · 22/02/2017 21:06

Evening,

Shop fwiw I really don't like the boots at all and say that as a floral lover. Saw that you have decided against the flatforms too but just wanted to say that I agree with fedup and think they could look really good on you. Not necessarily that dune pair but the style in general. Grenson in the sale is pretty much the same as the dune price, I really like these white ones for spring, would throw on with jeans and a breton as an alternative to trainers.

Everyone glad your trip went well. Work is much better thanks for asking. They have changed around my role a bit and like what I'm doing now much more.

Another positive of work is that you can shop online without the faff of waiting in for deliveries. My outnet order arrived today and everything is staying. Love the hat, almost didn't bother as winter nearly over (hopefully) but it is a classic that will do me for years to come.

Stokey · 22/02/2017 21:24

Kitchen is coming very slowly Fedup, still waiting for more drawings from the architect

I just found myself saying "what is that girl wearing?" Watching Little Mix at the Brits. I'm now officially my mother.

littleredlipstick · 22/02/2017 22:27

I said exactly the same about the little mix outfit and then when the best international band was announced I was Shock at a tribe called quest youngest son said who are they so found can I kick it on YouTube and played it for him.

littleredlipstick · 22/02/2017 22:29
