Thanks for the PMs!

liberty I am all about the (non-brown) neutrals at the moment, with a bit of chartreuse or neon thrown in. Occasional mustard. Embarrassingly went out in matching outfits with DD the other day (also Autumn, but 2yo). Tan Chelsea boots, charcoal skinnies (ok, hers were leggings), mustard baggy sweater and charcoal woolly hat. Didn't realise until someone pointed it out!

I might attempt to hang around if you're all happy to have a straggler hanging around! I seem to have a little more time to actually think about my clothes rather than exist in survival mode. It's only take almost 3 years since having DC3!

Hopefully · 14/02/2017 20:51

Taken, not take.

FedupNagging · 14/02/2017 21:00

I have just spent the last hour shopping for clothes online and have spent a small fortune - none of it for me Sad but for the ds's. I have managed to persuade ds2 to try a pair of chelsea boots for a change - am sick of seeing his dirty dm's! Ds3 is into clothes and fashion so love clothes shopping with him.

Anyway, back to me mnv.

Hugs for you Lib, sounds like you'll have a tough week although hopefully dh will recover quickly. The grey bf cardi you linked looks sooo comfy.

Really pleased you got out and about today Blingy and love the ootd shirt under a cream cable jumper. Will gloss over the mislaid bling!

Hopefully I saw some boho type jackets on Pin the other day from M0nsoon but they don't appear to be on the website now; there is
this jacket which I quite like but the wrong colour for you
or this black bomber which I really like.

Queen don't forget to link your purchases; have a good few days.

Dream that necklace is lovely - hope you get one. Is the series any good? I've been wondering whether or not to watch it? Am currently working my way through the Gilmore Girls.

Shop how gorgeous is the Hourglass blush palette?

shopafrolic · 14/02/2017 21:21

So gorgeous Fedup
Hopefully lovely to have you back. I always end up dressing like DS without realising it. Think he is a fellow Winter but not sure......
Just done M&S dine in for £20 with some rosé champagne.
In Shop's album of the week recommendation - Rag n bone man - Human - so so good.

Hopefully I plan to start buying charcoal a bit more, I have defaulted into a lot of navy for work, not ideal but looks ok usually especially with more autumn toned accessories and scarves. Your's and DD's outfit sound fab! I've had to watch myself with DD too - she seems to suit warmer tones and we have headed out a couple of times in matching green and cream stripy tops Blush. Less of an issue now that she is 6 and likes to dress herself often in quite bonkers combinations.

Longislandicetee · 15/02/2017 12:59

Dd likes it when we are similarly dressed. She's already way trendier than me so it doesn't happen very often.Grin

I managed the school run again this morning so my ootd is Me&em red breton top with J crew toothpick jeans (this week I am surgically attached to these jeans instead of the cashmere joggers Grin). I am wearing my newly remembered necklace (love you ShopWink), Blossom bracelet, Thomas Sabo wrap around watch and this Swarovski ring.

I am now trying to book our holidays for the year which is a painful experience as we are doing a series of shorter holidays this year. Trying to currently negotiate the Eurostar system.Hmm

Drywhitethanks · 15/02/2017 22:58

Ive missed a lot. Had an "interesting" day.
Hopefully welcome back.
Liberty so sorry I missed your DH going to have op, how's he doing ?
Blingy you need a jewellery caretaker me can't believe you nearly list that necklace Shock

I'm entertaining tomorrow girls night here and Saturday. There's a lot of food in my house at the moment......NYresolution is to get back on it with dinners.

shopafrolic · 16/02/2017 08:31

Very quiet on here at the moment - I guess it's that between season time again...... nothing that great in the shops probably why I'm buying ALL the lipsticks Grin
So what's on everyone's wishlist for SS?
I want to get some cropped trousers of some description and some flats something like these suede pointed ones
I think I'll be more classic than dramatic this Spring. I'm craving my bretons already.

Half term here so busy with dc. Had a lovely couple of days away with friends. Just going out today with other friends. Looking forward to a quiet weekend.

libertydoddle · 16/02/2017 09:00

Apart from the cardigan I also want some ankle length trousers, a pair in navy or charcoal grey for work and a more casual pair. I could do with new jeans too - I like the look of these Current Elliott Slouchy skinnies. I always find trousers really difficult to fit though so I'll have to try and get some time to go real shopping and try on loads.

I badly need a replacement for my leopard loafers - they look very tired.

Longislandicetee · 16/02/2017 10:00

One of these days I will be able to answer when you ask that question Shop! My ring was delivered yesterday. I am sat in my bed admiring it.Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/02/2017 10:57

i've no particular wishlist for S/S to be honest. I don't need anything especially but might be tempted to buy something if i saw something that would really go with what i already have. The only think i've seen that i do want is from Primark and is a baby blue long sleeved sweater that has got embroidered birds and flowers around the front part of the neckline, just not having any luck finding it in my size at the minute, might need to go to a bigger store to find one. Apart from that, I haven't seen anything else that's drawing me in and asking me to buy it

Drywhitethanks · 16/02/2017 19:28

No wish list here either .....won't stop me finding stuff though Grin

Girls over in a minute for wine and pizza......really struggled to find something I looked good in tonight pathetic

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/02/2017 20:09

Glad you got the ring delivered blingy, is it as nice as you remembered?

I like stripes and often I'll get the DC dressed and realise we're all wearing stripes!

Nice make up buys shop. I went for an Elizabeth Arden mascara to try as it was half price in John Lewis! How did lib and fedup get on with the tinted moisturiser samples? I'm pleased with the REN eye cream I got from M&S, it looks like it might have already softened the lines by my eyes which is no mean feat!

I don't really know what I fancy for S/S. I need new sandals for summer but its too early to look for those yet.

Have a good time tonight dry, I'm
sure you look as fab as always!

Had a work trip to Madrid this week. Browsed the shops at Heathrow. Gucci have got some more pretty prints in this season.

Longislandicetee · 16/02/2017 20:49

Everyone it's a long story....the ring is the same as the one that I was wearing at the MU. I went to the shop before the MU and I saw the ring, but it was in white gold and I prefer platinum so they said that they would make the ring especially for me in platinum. I said "oh its a pity as I am about to go and have lunch with my girlfriends and they won't get to see what I chose". So SA said, "well we can't have that" so he suggested that they loan me the ring that was in the store until my one was ready. I did disclose upfront that it was likely to be a drunken lunch!! Because I have been sick for over 3 months, I have had the borrowed ring for that long. So my real ring looks exactly like the borrowed ring, except that it fits and is v shiny because its new. Oh and its heavier because it is platinum. If you followed that you're a genius! I am now tapping away in bed, wearing pj shorts and t shirt by playboy and my bling. Simple things for simple folks.Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/02/2017 21:26

Not sure what is on my SS wishlist, as I think I need the weather to warm up first. I do need workwear though. I ended up keeping the Boden ponte dress and am glad I did. I think I am going to start replacing all my jersey work dresses with ponte ones. The only thing I have bought lately is replacing my Laura Mercier concealer (every time I go to Space NK I think of you shop! You always seem to be in there!)

Hope you're having a fun evening Dry and enjoying all that food.

Blingy love that story, what service!

DH and I are both feeling rough. Not colds exactly, some sort of bug I think. And we have both been getting night sweats and disturbed sleep for weeks now (sorry, gross). We think it's the new mattress we bought before Christmas so we might need to replace it again. Hmm Just so tired atm, definitely ready for spring!

Drywhitethanks · 17/02/2017 07:56

I love my female friends, I count those of you whom I've met in that group too, such a giggle.

My new entertaining discovery is that everyone loves Chocolate Vienetta even though they'd never admit it in public GrinGrin

Hopefully · 17/02/2017 08:04

I've got a few things on my wishlist, mainly replacements for things that have actually worn out Blush:

  • checked shirt (SO hard to find these in autumn colours)
  • 100% cotton (or close to it) straight leg/relaxed skinny jeans
  • boyfriend jeans
  • leather sandals (quite fancy a K Jacques pair)
  • sneakers of some description
  • smart casual work clothes (more casual for colour classes, a bit smarter, with a blazer or cardigan, for style classes). I'm not really sure what I want here, hoping inspiration will strike as new stuff arrives in shops.
  • Chelsea boots

Dry I saw a YouTube video the other day on how Vienetta is made. It was so satisfying to watch. Everyone loves Vienetta!

Longislandicetee · 17/02/2017 08:08

Love you too Dry😚 I also don't mind declaring my love for chocolate vienetta though haven't had it in years!

queencerulean · 17/02/2017 09:14

Morning all.
Is a chocolate viennetta different to a normal one? I like the original but not other flavours.

Top of my ss wish list is grey flats. I'd also like some black flats to wear with dresses, possibly another dress (fancy a floral one but doubt I'll find one to suit) and that's about it. At the moment Grin

FedupNagging · 17/02/2017 09:16

Everyone I'm still working my way through the samples of tinted moisturisers but it's looking like a choice between Laura Mercier or Bare Minerals.

I need to have a think about the s/s wishlist; I think more trousers of some description and smartish tops for work to start with. I'm headed to a big shopping centre on Monday so want to have a look and see whats around/find some inspiration.

Coming from a house full of blokes, I really value my girlfriends and love our MU's. don't like vienetta though Shock

FedupNagging · 17/02/2017 09:17

Agh, forgot to say hope you and dh feel better soon Blair and I'm loving all your beauty links and pins Shop.

queencerulean · 17/02/2017 09:34

I also need some comfortable walking sandals. I ordered some birkenstocks but they're a lot harder than I remember so are going straight back. Any other recommendations?

FedupNagging · 17/02/2017 09:37

For you autumns - love this

I think I'd wear a jacket like this from Hush a lot. Slightly regretting chucking the discount code now.

Wide leg trousers anyone Hmm

Actually, wide leg trousers seem to be still around so I may go for another pair for summer as I love them so much. Mine would need to be full length though, can only do crops if they're straight leg.

Love these pumps

I keep looking at sparkly pumps, talk me down someone!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 17/02/2017 13:06

Fedup I've got a code for Hush if you want? I don't think I will use it though I also like that jacket

Hope your DH recovers well Lib - are you off for half term?

No inspiration from me, I have the dreaded MNV illness - sinusitis! It is grim.

Waves to Hopefully - nice to see you back. I'm intrigued by the boho jacket as can't see you in a boho style...do you have any pics of what you had in mind?

Blair hope you and DH are better soon. Baby shower sounded fun, and great outfits over the weekend.
