Ouch Bernice - sinusitis is the worst. Blingy's tip of saltwater nasal spray has been good for me this year.
I'm turning into a bit of a skincare and beauty obsessive at the moment - hence all the Pins. I could very happily live in SpaceNK - our local store is just brilliant - the staff are so good.
I've got a £10 Boden voucher and was thinking about getting a 2nd swimming costume as I am swimming 3 or 4 times a week now. But did someone (Blair ?) say that you have to pay for returns?
I went out last night to our local village wine bar with a girlfriend - very casual but I dug out an old Mulberry feather print scarf which I had forgotten all about. I hardly ever wear scarves other than wooly ones when it is cold........... The Mulberry one and my silk Weston scarf are the only two that I really love.
Hopefully I am struggling with your boho jacket as am not sure either what kind of thing you are after so YY to Bernice's suggestion of Pins please :)

Is it just me or is SpaceNk red in your post Shop? And you are the MNV resident make up expert ....the Trind has fine the job .

Been prepping for dinner party tomorrow now I know why I cut down after starting working FT . Lots of first time recipes, v heavy on the cream though Shock.

I'm really liking the detailing this season....embroidery and ruffles, right up my street in small doses.

Re Vienetta, I'm sure it's shrunk.....do you think it's a Brexit thing like Toblerone? Hmm off to watch Hopefully YouTube clip.....btw why were you watching the making of Vienetta anyway H seems a bit random

AmberNectarine · 17/02/2017 23:05

I'm loving the flared sleeve trend. I have a black Zara sweatshirt (£18, feels like fleece) with flared sleeves and it instantly updates anything. I wore it today with my bright red Joseph leather leggings and R&B snake print boots.

Off to the kiddies rave at MoS tomorrow (thanks everyone for the tip off) - not sure what to wear! Probably won't be triple-dropping at this one, like the old days!

shopafrolic · 18/02/2017 09:23

Have fun Amber - sweatshirt sounds good.
Dry the red link is these new advertising links that MN are testing. They have now apparently turned them red so you know it isn't a link the poster put in but an advertising link. Yet another brand I'll have to start spelling differently.

So annoying

Bernice I am off work for half term. I'll pass your good wishes to DH. He is very bored. Another 10 days to go before he gets into a walking boot.

On tinted moisturiser I really love the Hourglass one but it feels a bit heavy for spring / summer. I've decided I'm going to stick with Laura Mercier for now, topped up with the LM candleglow powder when I need more coverage and get the Hourglass one next autumn although I'll be heading to NZ then so maybe not

Hopefully I really want a plaid shirt in dark autumn blue/green tones. They are hard to find.

shopafrolic · 18/02/2017 10:16

Lib I tend to wear the Hourglass one more when I need extra coverage. It is more like a foundation than a TM. Interestingly I have noticed that when the bottle is cold the product splits - and it doesn't blend back together easily by shaking. The effect is amazing when applied but I'm not sure I'll get it again once this one is finished. And I'll be using LM again this summer for sure.
Am also lusting after this dreamy foundation but that really is £££

I finally have some uninterrupted me time and I fully intend to use it wisely and do some links and look at some lovely stuff. Like dry, I'm loving embroidery and frills in small doses. I'm not too sure aboit the flared sleeves-I have one blouse that I love but tbh I find the sleeves a tad annoying.

I've been doing some online shopping recently and not sure what I've linked what I haven't so apologies if you've seen these before...

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 10:53

this cadigan is a keeper. I don't usually do long or v neck but fancied a change. If I wear it with my oasis jeans which are more legging and jean like then my arse doesn't look too big...

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 10:54

Loved this blouse but the colour was too muted for me. Had it been brighter it would have been a keeper.

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 10:57

I also kept this cardigan. It's a bit more shapeless than I'm used to but it feels cosy and I like it.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/02/2017 10:57

shop yes Boden (think it's safe to write it now?!) charge for returns! They provide a post office label so it's not that obvious it's not a free one. Cheeky I think.

DH and I are just about to go to PILs for the night. He called to me "are we taking the Burberry?" and I replied "Not sure if it's warm enough yet" and he said "Why did you think I would mean your coat?!" Grin (He meant the holdall we bought in China, which isn't strictly Burberry, but is very useful!)

Oh and re Vienetta, my 3 siblings still love to take the piss out of me for a menu we once did for our parents wedding anniversary, where my sisters did starter and main, and the pudding by me was... Vienetta! And I'm the oldest! We still have the menu :)

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

ps. Amber I want to try flared sleeves too, but they need to be 3/4 length or I think they'd annoy me. On the lookout!

Ohh and 1 other thing, I ordered Ted Baker dress last night - love at first sight.

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 10:58

These are the expensive shoes that I ordered and although I love them I don't love them enough to justify the price tag. Even if a grazia code becomes available I decided they'd still be too expensive to justify for the amount I'd wear them.

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 11:01

These shoes are lush but not very comfortable as they're too flat and slouchy at the back. So back they went too.

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 11:02

I already have the denim version of this dress but sadly the grey looked totally meh on me so back it goes. And without shoes buying a new dress is pointless.

shopafrolic · 18/02/2017 12:42

Do any of you have this Boden swimsuit style? I am planning on ordering in black when the 20% off starts tomorrow but just wondered about sizing as had to size up in my orange one........

shopafrolic · 18/02/2017 12:45

QueenC - do you have separate wardrobe for cardigans - I bet you own more of them than I own shoes now. Both lots of shoes you linked seem too heavy in style for you to me?
Blair LOL at Burberry confusion and I love love love that ted baker dress - just gorgeous.

OP posts:
queencerulean · 18/02/2017 13:31

shop no separate wardrobe but there are certain ones that are only got out in summer or winter! I love the shoes as they appeal to my quirky side but I can see what you mean. Shoes are really tricky for me as some I like can look either too grown up or frumpy on me.

I meant to say earlier that if you are swimming frequently you may be better off with a sports costume. When I used to swim a lot I found that speedo/zoggs etc last much longer that fashion costumes.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 18/02/2017 13:51

afternoon all

feels very springlike today, nice to have a nice day really

no fashion news to report from me, i'm still finding that i'm not really inspired to be spending right now apart from the odd bit here and there.

broke out the red lipstick today and it feels nice, i really dont wear make up as often as i should in order to justify how much of it i have Blush i really ought to make more effort, if only for my own good feelings.

still feeling like this move is the best thing i could ever have done. I don't feel like i'm suffocating anymore which is just so liberating. I do need to push myself out of my comfort zone and start going out more often though, I've been quite the home body since moving and i think it's time i started getting out and about a bit more, after all, there's plenty of things to do and see here!

AmberNectarine · 18/02/2017 15:00

Opted for the red LLs again with a Cher print House of Holland tee and my snake print boots. Hilarious mix of boden clad mums and ageing hipsters. Am totally glossing over which category I fall into!

libertydoddle · 18/02/2017 15:19

Oh god I am earning my mum stripes today... In the utter hell of a trampoline party place, too many kids, way too loud, over long queue for coffee... Am shooting looks of 'wtf' at the mum who booked this hell and total envy at a dad with sound blocking headphones on he's been here before needless to say DD LOVES it...

Longislandicetee · 18/02/2017 15:25

Grin Lib sorry but I laughed big time at your post bad friend

libertydoddle · 18/02/2017 15:43

20 more minutes jump time and counting...

queencerulean · 18/02/2017 16:08

I can't believe that talking about a trampoline party links to trampolines on Amazon Shock

Drywhitethanks · 18/02/2017 16:43

I love the flared sleeve look too, but like Blair need 3/4

Ear protectors Liberty.

DD my enthusiastic sous chef decided we must have salted caramel profiteroles tonight. She's nailed it, but I've had to drive to the COOP for gallons of extra duuble cream because of her over whisking.......butter filling anyone? Hmm

So my bonkers day so far:
Wake up to see DS off on school ski trip at 3.30AM Shock
2 gym classes, in the latter only 4 of us had a giggle and told my recent very rude sausage roll story now too embarrassed to return to gym
Hair dressers
Prepare dinner for 8 with crazy Gorgon Ramsay DD.

Outfit for tonight.......don't care, need lots of fizz.....

OH MY GOD LOOK Gin I love MN

Gin Gin Gin lovely Gin
