Chiropractor was fab thank you everyone. I've got so much more movement in my neck now!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/02/2017 19:08

QueenC so glad it helped, what you did sounded horrible. I didn't know you could get whiplash that way either!

Just done a Boden sales order, this lace skirt to replace an old favourite, and this dress in petite length because I don't like below the knee skirts. Both for work, very sensible. Had to get an 8 in the skirt so I hope it's ok!

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2017 09:08

Really nice Blair.

Me&Em silk shirt arrived and.. it's going back. So close but the collar is a bit small for me and I prefer silk that is more matt. Too picky.

Now I have the faff of taking it to the PO. Much prefer courier pick ups!

Longislandicetee · 04/02/2017 09:49

Oh that's a shame Marsha. Love the dress Blair.

Today is first day of the six Nations so dh is off to Twickenham. So just lounging in bed at the moment in my nightie (the expensive one ShopGrin) and then hands full playing with the dcs this afternoon.

Brand Alley has Alexander McQueen scarves which reminded me of Kitty's one. Was tempted but I passes. What colour was yours Kitty? I just remember how lovely you looked wearing it.

shopafrolic · 04/02/2017 14:22

Shame Marsha
LOL Blingy don't get biscuit crumbs on it!
So I ended up buying two pairs of trainers. These beauties which I bought for the gym but are more of a fashion shoe - loved the colour so much I couldn't send them back. And then these for the gym which are possibly the comfiest footwear I have ever owned! Grin
No fashion news other than gym gear. Off to the pool in a bit with DH and miniShop for a dip. Sun's out. Have lovely weekends all.

It's a slippery slope Shop - next thing you know you'll be wearing those shoes all the time and all other sartorial choices will revolve around them Grin. I love the pink ones - I miss pink...

QueenC I am ignoring your Uniqlo Ines alert! Sticking to my no spend until end of March plan.

Have been studying since 10am - very tired now. Going to take DD for a walk as I really need some fresh air.

Justa I noticed some pins of yours the other day. Are you back home yet? Hope everything is ok - miss you on here.

Drywhitethanks · 04/02/2017 18:20

Just back from a shopping trip with gf......prosecco at lunch 2hrs lovely day.
Tried hard, nothing to buy really Sad apart from another embroidered detail jumper from Oasis. Lovely to see Spring stock everywhere.
Prosecco and shopping is dangerous though.......
It's easy to put your PIN number in as the amount you want to pay for your Caruccios lunch Shock
And you could really hurt yourself falling up stairs in COS it was the heels
Neither of these things happened to me today Confused

Off to see Lion with DH tonight, will take tissues.
Have a lovely evening all.
Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/02/2017 20:22

Dry easily done, still hilarious Grin enjoy the film, haven't been to the cinema in ages.

Shop those pink trainers are way too cool to restrict to the gym. Will look amazing with all black or grey.

I've had a lazy day at home, well, lazy apart from writing about 4500 words in my book. Somehow it's nearly finished, which makes me v happy :) more happy than clothes, though the feeling of a great outfit is good too of course!

queencerulean · 04/02/2017 21:18

Sounds fab dry
shop love those trainers
blair love the lace skirt

Just reporting back on my purchases...
this blouse was lovely but I thought it was just white spots but it had browny-yellow ones too. It's gone back

queencerulean · 04/02/2017 21:19

this blouse was a wildcard and looked as bad on me as I expected it to.

queencerulean · 04/02/2017 21:21

this is a keeper

queencerulean · 04/02/2017 21:23

lovely top but not the ice blue colour I was hoping for

queencerulean · 04/02/2017 21:30

Returning this will probably haunt me. Utterly lovely top but I'm just not sure when I'd wear it. It would be a lovely going out top but I already have my lace one. And the sleeves mean that a jacket doesn't fit well over it.

Drywhitethanks · 04/02/2017 22:41

Oh my god, Lion is fantastic. Much, much better that La La Land and Dev is much better looking than Ryan G hope it sweeps the board at the Oscars. Totally brilliant.....you must all go and see it.

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/02/2017 08:25

Glad you had a nice lunch dry. I saw that oasis have some nice jumpers in at the moment. Did you get another one? I'm quite tempted by this

A good variety of tops there *queenc. The fingers one was pretty but I see what you mean about the sleeves. The mint velvet one does look ice blue though.

My hunt for a pair of black trousers continues. I'd seen a few black trouser outfit ideas on Pinterest and thought it would be a good alternative to a skirt some days. I ordered the 7/8 Richmond trousers from Boden and whilst they fit, I don't think they do anything for me. Will try them again with a few different tops but am not convinced. So, if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. Flowers

queencerulean · 05/02/2017 08:50

everyone I like warehouse and gap for trousers

Stokey · 05/02/2017 09:16

Totally agree about Dev Dry. I spent most of LaLaLand obsessed with how deepset RG's eyes are. Very noticeable next to Emma Stone whose eyes are amazing.

I really want to see Lion & T2, feel some cinema trips coming up.

Nice top.QueenC, very you.

libertydoddle · 05/02/2017 09:49

I want to see Lion too though I suspect I'll be a weeping wreck.

That bird print top is lovely QueenC. I agree about the sleeves on the Finery one, I am drawn to the style but I think it would just be annoying to wear.

It's quiet on here atm - are you all like me and finding that your online time is being spent on obsessively watching what the American man/toddler president dictator is up too? I think I am going to have to cut back to just watching the news once a day and reading one moderate sensible fact checking paper (I've subscribed to the Irish Times) otherwise I am going to go mad.

Drywhitethanks · 05/02/2017 12:45

Everyone that's the jumper I bought. Really lovely on.

Longislandicetee · 05/02/2017 14:20

Afternoon everyone Smile

Loved your tops QueenC. The first one you sent back so gorgeous but there is no way I could carry it off without it swamping me.

After I looked at QueenC's links I had a nosey round the John Lewis website. I am dithering over this this Oasis top. There are a couple of Ralph Lauren shirts I quite like too. There were 1200 tops once I had filtered by size 6 and xs plus long sleeved I was down to 400. But I had a jolly nice time looking at those even though only a handful appealed to me.

Quiet afternoon here. Ds at a party and dd doing homework and then churning out her thank you cards. So glad I don't have to do them anymore for her! I am lying on bed listening to music and loving the ceiling speakers again.

That reminds me...Stokey when we extended our old house, we put in a Smallbone kitchen. They were brilliant but it's not a recommendation unless you're planning on spending £70k on the kitchen.Grin. The things that we put in were: an island, overhead thing which had our pots and pans plus utensils hanging on it over the island, we designed the layout of the cupboards to be useful for the way I cook and the corner cupboard had a basket thing which pulled out so you didn't have to reach in there. We included a small wine fridge in the island and had a pantry cupboard. We had 2 sinks including one in the island, which also had a built in chopping board in the top. The sink had a waste disposal unit. The island also had vegetable racks built in. Our cupboards were a mixture of pull it draws and ones you open. There was a slot for serving trays. Other things that we had put in were wood flooring with underfloor heating and speakers in the ceiling. The tops were granite. I loved that kitchen. Sob. Anyway hope that gives you some ideas!

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/02/2017 15:08

dry Smile ooo you may have persuaded me!

Thanks queenc I've seen some warehouse ones on the JL website that I might try.

blingy that kitchen sounded fab.

Quiet day here too. The DC are still both a bit under the weather, so just a trip to see the SIL and MIL snoozefest me and DH always need a large 🍸 when we get home!

littleredlipstick · 05/02/2017 15:37

Hi everyone lazy weekend here today watching rugby while browsing Pinterest and online shops. Not really seen anything to inspire me but it feels so cold ATM and I'm trying to leave we some weight before splashing out on some quality pieces.

My only spends so far have been a new lunch bag and a trx system for working out at home.

queencerulean · 05/02/2017 17:12

Lazy day for me too. The effects of the chiropractor has worn off so I'm in pain again and I've got a headache from the muscles being so tense. Wine and codeine are helping Grin

stokey we've had our kitchen done and 6 years later I still love it and wouldn't change anything. Just really think about what you want including dedicated cupboards for random crap/plastic bags etc.

VivaVegas · 05/02/2017 21:45

Very jealous of your lazy Sundays, played netball and then spent the rest of the day decorating!
Lovely tips Queen what colour was the Mint Velvet one in the flesh?
So last sale rejects going back to ASOS tomorrow and that's me aiming for no spend until April, will be tough but I really don't need anything. I have a few gift cards that I can use as back up!

libertydoddle · 06/02/2017 12:44

Great kitchen ideas. A waste disposal is a fantastic idea.

WFH today so my outfit is River Island black straight leg jeans, olive long sleeve heatech and J Crew plaid shirt.
