What face products do you use, I want to switch from Clinique?

My skin has really changed since I had babies and clinique doesn't seem to be doing the job anymore. I've got combination skin but quite dry on my cheeks. Used the clinique turnaround cream and it stings!
What do you use?
I'm 31 and feel I need a night cream or something to stop the lines before they start.

I use DECLEOR which is brilliant

Lilliput · 23/02/2007 21:21

Where do you get it? Can I get advice from a beauty counter then buy online?

i use lancome hydra xen and swear by it

MillyM · 23/02/2007 21:24

Clarins is fabulous stuff - they sell it all over and in one of the department store they usually have stands and the ladies will tell you which products are right for you.

ArcticRoll · 23/02/2007 21:24

I used to use Clinique but have been a Liz Earle convert for some time. Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Skin Repair Moisturiser are fab.

brimfull · 23/02/2007 21:24

I recommend liz earle

Her cleanse and polish is great as is the daily moisturiser.

ManchesterMum · 23/02/2007 21:26

Would also vote for Liz Earle, it's awesome. Have been trying another range recently, purely out of curiosity but am waiting for a new delivery of Liz Earle stuff because my skin's really not been the same.

QPootle · 23/02/2007 21:27

Another Clinique girl here. Have a a couple of samples from Chanel for an eye cream though that genuinely took wrinkles away when using it post birth. The second I stopped using it they reappeared. The chanel and Touch Eclat together made me look like a different (better) woman!

hermykne · 23/02/2007 21:29

liz earle

chanel if i had loads of dosh

Lilliput · 23/02/2007 21:36

Just looked at the lix earle website, went to the know your skin bit and it has come up with about a dozen products . So what do you use on a daily basis to cleanse, tone moisturise?

brimfull · 23/02/2007 21:38

I use the hot cloth cleanse and polish ,then the daily repair moisturiser .I have the toner but rarely use it.

simplycontrolfreaky · 23/02/2007 21:38

dermalogica. eve lom.

ManchesterMum · 23/02/2007 21:40

Go for the standard range of cleanse & polish hot cloth cleanser, toner & skin repair moisturiser (or light alternative) set. Think you can pick the set up for about £35 and it includes a nice washbag - just check the offers section. Indeed they're always giving away nice washbags etc. and you usually get a sample of another product with your order which I always enjoy.

Eve Lom, eve lom and Eve Lom -- nothing matches it!

Lilliput · 23/02/2007 21:56

The price of Eve Lom is scary!!

fishie · 23/02/2007 22:04

clinique is harsh stop using it but also it is bad time of year for poor old skin. i like health shop type things, weleda dr hauschka. never ever use soap on face. 8 hour cream essential for dry bits.

Pannacotta · 23/02/2007 22:09

Another vote for Liz Earle, also Weleda have some lovely products, v gentle, as do Dr Hauschka. Neals Yeard also excellent, esp for dry skin.

ArcticRoll · 23/02/2007 22:10

I've used both Eve Lom and Liz Earle and prefer Liz Earle -imo Eve Lom not worth the extra money.

CanSleepWontStarve · 23/02/2007 22:11

Elemis - lovely stuff.

Lilliput · 23/02/2007 22:12

I've had elemis facials before, looks like the price is scary if you go for the anti-aging stuff, everything else looks well priced though, depends how long it last you.
What elemis stuff do you use?

I use Clarins, they have a vast range to choose from. Have been experimenting with Shu Uemura as well and so far skin feels good - the cleansing oil seems very good. I think the trick for my skin seems to exfoliate regularly and use masks, but a very nourishing cream to deal with dry bits - Clarins energising morning cream and ultra hydrating are good. Muslins etc good for gentle exfoliation every night (which is basically the Eve Lom and Liz Earle regime) I actually use a flannel which seems to work for me!

Lilliput · 23/02/2007 22:26

I feel Liz Earle seems to be the one everyone likes
