What face products do you use, I want to switch from Clinique?

My skin has really changed since I had babies and clinique doesn't seem to be doing the job anymore. I've got combination skin but quite dry on my cheeks. Used the clinique turnaround cream and it stings!
What do you use?
I'm 31 and feel I need a night cream or something to stop the lines before they start.

Where do you get dr haushka? I've only seen it in Selfridges.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 26/02/2007 22:08

you can buy it on their website- and on there they have a test thing where it advises you what products might be good for your skin type. also small retailers sometimes sell it. i live in devon and get mine from a (very posh!) 'farm shop' called Darts farm

BigHotMama · 26/02/2007 22:30

This thread just bloody cost me £25. Just purchased some Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Smoothing Line Serum...hope it works ...

Tamum · 26/02/2007 22:33

They sell Dr Hauschka in John Lewis up here, and various health foody places, it's easier to get than it used to be.

nearlythree · 27/02/2007 10:14

I didn't know thay had a website, thanks for that.

Lullabyloo · 27/02/2007 10:24

Fenwicks sell it too & Helios pharmacy.

oxocube · 27/02/2007 10:26

Boots No 7 for me too! Forget the name but its a night one (which I also use every morning) for dry skins.

Lilliput · 27/02/2007 22:57

You'll all be so relieved to here that I have just ordered a Liz Earle trial pack and some eyecream to try too. Phew!! The longest thread I have ever started!

Dermalogica. Fantastic. Costs £35 and lasts me more than 6 months as you only need a teeny bit each time. Lots of different ones for different skin types, even for 'pregnant' skin.

ediemay · 27/02/2007 23:22

Neal's Yard frankincense cream. No parabens.

crystalpony · 27/02/2007 23:23

Does anyone rate Origins? Also, is it all natural organic type stuff? No animal testing as well?

ManchesterMum · 27/02/2007 23:24

Do let us know how you get on Lilliput - would feel awful if it's not for you !

Lilliput · 28/02/2007 09:12

Don't stress Manchestermum, lots of other people recommended it too . I only got the trial stuff for £15 so it's not a disaster if it's not right for my skin. I'm quite looking forward to trying it, I have used clinique for the last 12 years!!

Crystalpony, I love Origins. It is very natural, plant-based and isn't tested on animals. However, its parent company is Estee Lauder so you may not approve.

MuminBrum · 28/02/2007 09:56

I like the Decleor facial oils - it seems a bit weird putting oil on skin but it's lovely. Also Dr Hauschka, the rose and quince day creams are both really nice.

hoolagirl · 28/02/2007 09:56

I too have ordered the Liz Early trial pack because of this thread!

bewilderbeast · 28/02/2007 10:22

Dr Haushka, it's fabulous.

tigi · 28/02/2007 10:37

i use nivea q10 and really like it, but i think it's only a spf 8 in it, would like higher for the summer. My skin is always soft. Tried an expensive olay one, but my face felt dry still.

Ginnie27 · 28/02/2007 10:40

use Ren! no chemicals and lovely products...

BigHotMama · 01/03/2007 11:30

Just received my Liz Earle stuff and may I say, what lovely packaging, also sent me a free gift of orange body wash. It came in a pale green zip bag and bottle were individually wrapped. Cant wait to try it out.

ManchesterMum · 01/03/2007 11:58

The orange body wash is one of the few things I've not tried BHM so would love to know what you think. Have been sorely tempted a few times to get it but seems so indulgent...

BigHotMama · 01/03/2007 14:48

Ok MM will let you know

theprecious · 02/03/2007 11:53

REN - seems to last ages as well, smells lovely.
