What face products do you use, I want to switch from Clinique?

My skin has really changed since I had babies and clinique doesn't seem to be doing the job anymore. I've got combination skin but quite dry on my cheeks. Used the clinique turnaround cream and it stings!
What do you use?
I'm 31 and feel I need a night cream or something to stop the lines before they start.

I love the Elemis Absolute Eye serum and their rose exfoliator. Never used Liz Earle but might have to give the cleanser a chance after reading this thread...

CanSleepWontStarve · 23/02/2007 22:35

I use the apricot toner (the lavender is good too), the sensitive face wash (also like the other brown coloured one - forgotten what it's called) and the absolute day cream (normal to combination in my case). I also use the gentle rose exfoliator about 3 or 4 times a week, and when I have time, the lavender face mask.

Also have used several of the bath foams - the 'zest for life' one being my favourite.

I do also have their night cream, but don't often use cream at night.

wow, all you posh people...I use Asdas own emoilient cream...wroks o.k. for my skin, lol...indeed I often get compliments on my complection (although, I don't think it's that great...)...I will probably regrett it when I am old and wrinkled then...

Dermplogoica is wonderful. Go and have a facial (it is lovely), they will analyse your skin type and recommend the correct products. You can always buy products over the internet as thety tend to be cheaper.

I went from Clinique to No 7 post baby (due to cost really) and like the pink night cream a lot. Sorry I don't know it's name.

auntymandy · 24/02/2007 08:07

I sell Avon and a few of my ladies have swithed from clarins to the Anew range!

Radley · 24/02/2007 08:22

I use lancome and love it. The hydra zen night cream is brilliant.

Occasionally though I will use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream

glitterfairy · 24/02/2007 08:35

I have moved and cannot get decleor any more . I have tried clarins and it is really not the same. I am now switching to origins which is worth every penny and has made such a difference in a week! I use a mushroom serum and cleanser and a scrub once a week. I also use Neals Yard rose oil and rose night cream.

nearlythree · 24/02/2007 08:43

Origins - fantastic stuff - I have sensitive skin and this is great for it. I use their pure cleanser and white tea range. They also do a divine lavender and vanilla body souffle.

glitterfairy · 24/02/2007 08:50

Yep very expensive but worth every penny and the shops are a treat just to walk in. Actually recommended to me by the MAC counter in selfridges which made me laugh.

Liz Earle brings my face out an dstings like mad.

I get Origins on-line.

Furball · 24/02/2007 09:25

Dermologica - lovely and light. As someone said go for a prescriptive facial and see what they recommend. I just took their advice for cleanser and moisturiser but they last for yonks and I normally get someone to get them for me for birthdays/christmas.

toggle · 24/02/2007 15:12

I think face cream is like fairy liquid adverts ,the dear ones do lasts ages longer!

I love lizearle but it does run out three times quicker than decleor or clarins

foxtrot · 24/02/2007 15:15

virgin vie have some nice stuff.

StrangeTown · 24/02/2007 15:16

Dermalogica is def good value for money. You get 100ml for same price as Clarins/Decleor 50ml.

Ready · 24/02/2007 15:23

Flirted briefly with Dermalogica, but wasn't impressed.

Since using Liz Earle my skin has transformed!!

YeahBut · 24/02/2007 15:29

Definitely a Clarins vote here!

DimpledThighs · 24/02/2007 15:56

clarins

I used to use clinque but as I got older I found it too harsh for my skin.

On an ecomony drive recently I got some olay stuff which was impressive too, but then went on a 'cheer up' drive and rebought clarins

have not tried liz earle to compare.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 24/02/2007 16:06

Liz Earle cleanser works fine and the toner is nice but Eve Lom is better and lasts for aaages. Dr Hauschka moisturiser.

sauce · 24/02/2007 16:07

I just re-discovered Clinique (repairwear lift - firming night cream for dry skin) so I use that & its alter-ego Estée Lauder. But I'd never use the Clinique stuff of my youth - tis true, tis much too harsh.

RedLorryYellowLorry · 24/02/2007 16:10

I really like Clarins stuff.

sauce · 24/02/2007 16:12

Clarins is good but does it really "do what it says on the tin"? I haven't found that it does & it's sooo expensive. Nice packaging, though.

TLV · 24/02/2007 18:47

another clarins user here and I love it really like the dermatalogic mirco exfoliant tho and I'm going to order the trial pack of Liz earle products as its only 15pounds (heard so many people rave about it) dh has bought me the Elemis luxury treats pack well its from dd for mothers day and i'm really looking forward to trying that
