I like the map analogy. I think most of us suffer from faulty sat-nav on occasions....
That's a relief, GGG. Fingers crossed.
How irritating, Rose. The cancellation, I mean, not the cords (although that is also annoying). Presumably the pre-work isn't wasted, though?
Yes, MrsS, what's up with DH? You haven't decked him, have you?
Same old same old, back at the coal-face of work today. I'm starting to feel a bit of pre-Christmas stress, as things always ramp up here in December, meanwhile everyone is cramming in the last of their holiday allowance, so tumbleweed blows through the office. DS has got to go into his new office for "training" three evenings this week - he's not sure if they're paying him, and is too shy to ask. They will also be giving him a 2 hour slot over Christmas Day/Boxing Day that he has to work, and I'm praying it won't stuff up our plans (he will rely on us to get him there, as there won't be any public transport).
I also spent three hours in the passenger seat on Sunday, with DS at the wheel. Hazards encountered included a horse, a police roadblock (Gatwick), a slip-road onto a dual carriageway (oops, forgot to forewarn him) and a busy carpark. There are now fingernail marks in the dashboard, and my hair is three shades greyer.
