GGG - I share your pain re Oxbridge news or lack thereof. Fortunately dd3 heard positively today so we are out of that purgatory (and into the next I assume). Fingers crossed for your ds too.

Cremolafoam · 25/11/2016 20:29

Ooh best of luck to the interviewees and oxbridge appliers.

I have ordered this natty little dress for the festive season. I just want something I can yank on , apply dark red lippy, and be done. ( in my dream world I can put in a 12 hour shift at the coalface, and swish my hair and slip seamlessly from day to night without looking like an aged crone) Where I think I'm going in this dream, I do not know.Hmm Mostly I will be working and crawling into bed from now on until Jesus' Birthday what with panto hohoho. Are you behind me Rose?

Satan has arrived ( with kissy reindeer obvs) at next door garden centre. It's all go.

bigTillyMint · 25/11/2016 21:06

Hatty, Starbucks in Paris - a sin punishable by guillotine, surely? Grin

GGG, fingers crossed.

Was it 3K face cream or Botox or something?

Confirmation that I am losing my mind - got a call from my lovely hairdresser earlier - had I forgotten.... of course I had nothing to do with the large gin Blush but he fitted me in nonetheless.

Circus light initials are here - obviously other letters are available. I bought the "rustic" colour (rusty metal) - I think they are excellent for the reduced price, and they arrived really quickly.

Thanks for SS name. Oooh, what to buy, what to buy.....?

Lalsy · 25/11/2016 21:42

Rose, I liked the Boden cords too but want black or blue. Let us know what they are like!

Crem, sorry you are not better and Sad about dneice. Poor love and her family. I do know someone who has turned that particular corner and is now (mostly) in the light. That is one lovely dress, gorgeous neckline.

Rudy and BTM, thinking of your and your dss too and thank you Rudy for Santa-ing us up. I am excited too!

MI, Finn Comfort are v comfy if you want something a bit more upmarket. And Rohde.

Think my children would have rung social services if I had kissed any teachers at Parents' Evening. I did once dye quite a lot of them blue after an unpleasant incident with an ink pen followed too quickly by vigorous handshaking.

Good luck on interviews!

CointreauVersial · 25/11/2016 22:03

This is probably a better link to the circus letter lights.

Happy Birthday HerbsWineCake

Busy day here as it's the school fete. First I'm going to gym as am having menopausal cramps and I think it's because I've done no exercise all week. Much fasting and abstinence for the rest of the day as we have Thanksgiving meal with lovely neighbour this evening.

BTM - Starbucks in Paris? Practically one on every corner Smile.

Crem - keep resting up - sorry to hear about dniece.

I cannot find any cords on Boden - can somebody just tell me what their whimsical Bodenish name is?

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 26/11/2016 08:33

Yes, happy birthday, Herbalicious Flowers

Looking forward to tonight. I'm up for dark and stormies (d&s virgin here!), but I'm afraid I'll have to miss dinner. We had a wobbly day yesterday and I'm not sure I feel that comfortable being out all evening.

In other news, dd2 has just done a week of 'Oliver' which was amazing, real tear jerker! Just wanted to bundle little Oliver up and take him home....

I agree with Rudy, 2016 can jog on now. I'm looking forward to trying to actively make 2017 a better year. I think 2016 has been a bit of a passive year; things happened that we didn't expect and we didn't want. I want to be a bit more pro-active next year, before it's too late Grin

NUFC69 · 26/11/2016 09:21

Happy birthday, Herbs; have a lovely day. I hope ailing Crepeys are now feeling a little, if not a lot, better.

We returned to the frozen north yesterday, in my case minus a front tooth, as my migrating crown decided to migrate into a toasted chicken sandwich. My lovely dentist has fitted me in later on this morning so I am hoping it can be sorted, at least temporarily, before my op. I look horrendous and am trying not to smile.

Enjoy the MU tonight.

Lalsy · 26/11/2016 09:52

Happy happy birthday Herbs!!!!

IT is almost a if cords are a dirty word on boden site. I only discovered them by googling from outside.

motherinferior · 26/11/2016 10:11

HAPPY HERBDAY!!!!FlowersChocolateFlowers

motherinferior · 26/11/2016 10:13

And NU, so sorry about the tooth.

I have decided not to have an overly punishing day, after nearly bursting into tears in the pub last night; I shall write here, not in the BL, potter locally and get my toenails painted and head out later. Wot time are we Dark and Storming?

bigTillyMint · 26/11/2016 10:29

Happy Birthday Herbs! CakeWine

NU, massive sympathies as one who has 5 (V) missing teeth currently.

And another one here hoping for 2017 to be better than 2016

herbaceous · 26/11/2016 10:32

Hello lovely crepeys. Thank you for my birthday wishes. So far it's been lovely. DS brought me tea and presents on a tray, turned on the radio for me, and was generally 'helpful'. Among my present is a t-shirt saying 'there are two types of people, but bassoon players are better than both of them', and not one but TWO necklaces from Cos to transform my supermarket t-shirts.

This and this. Both from the ever-generous sis.

Plus Thug Kitchen cookery book, comprising lots of easy food and rude words. Plus a date with a friend in a cat cafe. All rather life-affirming.

herbaceous · 26/11/2016 10:45

DP has stuck a small post-it over the camera at the top of my computer. When I asked him why, he said 'government surveillance'. I assume this is a joke.

Blackduck · 26/11/2016 11:01

I've had breakfast with dad and now feeling the need to escape.

bigTillyMint · 26/11/2016 11:07

BD I'm meeting Stropps fro a pre cocktail wander - PM/text me if you want to join us.

motherinferior · 26/11/2016 11:19

What time are we meeting?

Blackduck · 26/11/2016 11:41

I thought it was around 5 for D'n'S

Collymollypuff · 26/11/2016 11:49

I'll see y'all at the resto at 7.15 when you're all half-cut
