I know this will be divisive but LEGGINGS

I know people hate them, but I love them.

I've always bought cheapish but thick sturdy ones. I'be read that the calzedonia ones are amazing but £20 which seems mad for leggings but then if they last then worth it?

Tell me where you think the best ever leggings are drom

I have some boden ones but prefer phase eight. There is a solid waistline that doesn't fall down and the VPL isn't as noticeable. They wash really well too.

Grumpyoldblonde · 30/09/2016 14:30

I have some very thick ones from Tesco, they have a seam down the front and look more like skinnies than leggings - I have 4 pairs, they are about £9.00 but wash and wash, never go baggy and as they're so thick and have the seam can be worn to work, with boots. They have them in again this year. I also bought some black fine cord jeggings from there too which I hope will look good with my boots in the winter, they were £12.00

MummaBear31 · 30/09/2016 14:33

Topshop ones last ages, and sainsburys ones are good but make sure you get the ones you buy as a single pair (think they are about £10) as the ones in the 2 pack are not as good!

Stopyourhavering · 30/09/2016 14:47

For us Giants, Long Tall Sally leggings are brilliant.....it's not just the leg length but waist/crotch measurement that's great....don't have to keep hiking them up!

Winser London Miracle Leggings

lynniep · 30/09/2016 15:08

Lidl. £2.99. My faves.

Allibear · 30/09/2016 15:21

I think £20 for ones that last is really good! Most leggings are about £10 and die within a month, definitely ends up cheaper to get good ones to start with IMO Smile

Kjs81 · 30/09/2016 19:31

I've tried several and topshop have definitely been the best. Wash well, fit well and last years. Love leggings and jumper dresses in winter!

Sainsburys TU are the best

squizita · 30/09/2016 19:38

Another Sainsbury Tu fan.

I was GUTTED when uniqlo stopped doing them. They were 100% the best. Gutted.

whitehandledkitchenknife · 30/09/2016 19:45

Another vote for Sainsburys leggings here. Have bought the cheaper and more expensive versions. I like the ones with the wider waistband (the more expensive ones?).
Just discovered the delights of their jeggings too, after spending a fortune on top end jeans. I LOVE the smoothness around my enormoustummy area, that you don't get with jeans. Wear with tunics and dresses and this Autumn will be worn with cute Fly ankle boots. Close to retirement. I'm aiming for a certain edgy granny chicGrin

I love leggings. I currently have the ponte zip leggings from next. They hold your tummy in, hard wearing and most importantly, not see through!

I have checked every possible angle with a long mirror and natural sunlight and on occasion, asked my DP who I hope is brutally honest with these things.

They're £20 though, so maybe a bit pricey for leggings but they do the job.

catinbooots · 01/10/2016 08:52

Sequins? On your legs?

Won't they, er, touch each other and then come off, when you do things like walking?

Good luck! I bet you'll look fab.

doctorboo · 01/10/2016 11:02

MrsD would you mind posting a pic of your sequinned leggings? I'm very intrigued.

I'm very lazy and just buy Primark leggings. The few I have on rotation are now looking very see-through Blush

Oh my god desperate to see the sequin ones!!! Post a photo.

I have some really good thick primark ones but they are aging a bit. The trouble I have is that I like them to be thick and also tight for bottom sculpting. Highish waisted for tummy tucking. BUT not too tight or high so that you have your vagina totally carved out and on show. Because I like to wear them like trousers so not necessarily with a tunic. The primark ones fit the bill but can't find the same ones again. Am
I asking for too much?

can someone tell us what shoes you wear please? My boots are too tight for leggings and i dont like that gap you sometimes see between leggings and shoes (not in winter anyway) - or am i being overly fussy? I like the principle of leggings and dresses in winter....just havent got my head round footwear
