I know this will be divisive but LEGGINGS

I know people hate them, but I love them.

I've always bought cheapish but thick sturdy ones. I'be read that the calzedonia ones are amazing but £20 which seems mad for leggings but then if they last then worth it?

Tell me where you think the best ever leggings are drom

I like Boden ones but they are expensive. Don't go saggy either on or in the wash though. Nice & soft.

Sychnant · 30/09/2016 13:35

Sports Direct thermal ones. Must look to see if they have any more! Warm, non see through and I got them in the sale for £2 a pair.

Perfect for wearing instead of jodhpurs. Also fab with a long top and country boots :)

HeteronormativeHaybales · 30/09/2016 13:37

I love leggings and lived in them after dc3. Like them with tunics (the description 'pot-bellied apple with great legs' upthread could also apply to me Grin ) and under dresses.

Have found M&S and Boden the most hardwearing.

MiddleAgeMiddleEngland · 30/09/2016 13:38

I was walking behind someone today who was wearing very see-through leggings. I wasn't sure if she hadn't realised, or if she just didn't care.

I only wear them for things like gardening, but like to buy a size larger so they don't have to stretch and become see-through. M&S Indigo have always seemed to be fine - and I've had a friend check my bottom for opaqueness Grin

Top shop ones here.

They are long legs, supportive at tummy and are quite thick 👍🏽👍🏽

i bought some lush fleece lined ones from primark but unfortunately they have bobbled after just a few wears Sad

shovetheholly · 30/09/2016 13:46

Uniqlo Heattech are great, I really like them.

wornoutboots · 30/09/2016 13:48

wearing sainsbury's cheapest black leggings atm, they're great

2kids2dogsnosense · 30/09/2016 13:49

I LOVE leggings with a tunic (I like to make sure my huge arse bum is covered up. I like Sainsbury's but I think I'll have a look at Decathlon, following Queen's comments

Groaningmyrtle · 30/09/2016 13:54

Absolutely adore leggings. Another one that wears them with tunics or dresses, so am not showing my bum! I'm quite tall so I think they're more flattering than jeans and t-shirts on me (I don't risk flashing my over-hanging belly). And so comfortable. I buy reasonably expensive ones and they last forever.

Groaningmyrtle · 30/09/2016 13:55

X-post 2kids. Are we related 😬😬😬

MiniChib · 30/09/2016 13:57

I never wore leggings before I was pregnant, but my mum recently treated me to some Mothercare maternity leggings and I think I've been converted haha! They're so comfy and I can definitely see myself living in them for a long time now :')
I love wearing them with oversized shirts etc! :)

redcardi · 30/09/2016 13:59

Vero Moda "fix it" leggings every time.

20% elastane m, thigh wide waistband and sculpt and lift your arse. Haven't found any that even come close! They are very tight though

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 30/09/2016 13:59

Sainsbury's cheap range, double pack are great as are the thick Topshop ones.

2kids2dogsnosense · 30/09/2016 14:00

Goldenvalley · 30/09/2016 14:01

I love leggings. I'd only ever wear with boots though, and with long/ bum-covering tops. Those are my rules. I buy the American Apparel extra high waisted ones, and love them.

LivinOnAChair · 30/09/2016 14:01

Nope Trills I get the H&M ones too, definitely not see through Smile and yep for £5.99!

mangofizz · 30/09/2016 14:06

Another shout for the H&M ones, they are fab. Primark seem to have recently had an overhaul of their leggings, I've bought a few pairs of their £2.50 extra long cotton ones and they are fantastic, really pleased with them so far. I agree though, none beat american apparel (if you can get them to fit!)

LunaLoveg00d · 30/09/2016 14:06

I am living in leggings and dresses/tunics at the moment due to a medical issue making me very bloated.

Like Sainsbury's ones too, they had 25% off clothing recently and I stocked up.

SuperFlyHigh · 30/09/2016 14:18

Top shop, Oasis and Next leggings are all good quality, Top Shop's ones have got holes after some time...

next ones have a higher waist.

Wasn't overly impressed with H&M leggings got some divided ones from there too and very tight.

Was impressed with HEMA opaques and they do leggings too so they may be good!

Calzedonia did the cutest leggings with black cat face net design on (like at the hem with whiskers and everything... Smile

ItShouldOfBeenJess · 30/09/2016 14:20

I haven't worn leggings for almost fifteen years but this thread is making me want some! Sick of skinny jeans, especially when newly washed. Oh, the agony. Plus it takes forever to get the bastards off.

Cloudylemons · 30/09/2016 14:22

I buy the full-length legging from Next, they seem to last forever. I'm short so I wear them with long tunic/short dresses, which look like normal length on me, and leggings are thick so give me more confidence about the above the knee length of the dress. Usually wear them with wedge ankle boots. I also buy Next jeggings and wear them with long tops, they're so comfortable!
