I know people hate them, but I love them.

I've always bought cheapish but thick sturdy ones. I'be read that the calzedonia ones are amazing but £20 which seems mad for leggings but then if they last then worth it?

I like very opaque with a skinny long leg and a high waist, so for me Topshop maternity (!!) in two sizes down. But they do a few different types and it is only one that is good, and it's impossible to tell from the website. They're not obviously maternity leggings, just very high waisted and obviously much bigger than normal. Might just be me though.

I have recently purchased my first ever pair of leggings, hoping to be brave enough to wear them with a jumper dress as I'm constantly in jeans. Whether I'll actually wear them is a different matter.

God I'm so thick, I never thought to get tall leggings to get the extra leg length Blush

I love leggings with a knitted dress or a tunic. There are those on here who will sneer, but look at all the fucks I don't give :)

I think £20 for a pair that will last well is a bargain, loads cheaper than decent jeans or trousers obviously. So will lurk and take notes.

Thickness of the material, doesn't go see through, show VPL, go baggy and they suck you in a bit.

I like thick ones with tummy support. Jojo mamanbebe do some postnatal ones which are great. I think they were twenty quid though but they are still going strong six months in of heavy use

It's the heavier weight/ponte ones that I wear btw, just seen that they have a few different ones.

I don't know about calzedonia leggings but their footless tights - a weird cross between leggings and tights that don't look quite like either - are fab. If I wore leggings, I'd be straight there for leggings.

I like Sainsbury's ones. Not the thickest, but fairly good quality. And a good price.

I look great in leggings with a tunic. I'm a pot-bellied apple with great legs. So why wouldn't I?

I have always worn Primark but they are cheap and baggy. I will try TopShop.

I am also going to try jeggings. I always sneered at them but then I realised that they will look like skinny jeans under a tunic, without the discomfort of actual jeans.

I go for cheap leggings from Peacocks and wear two pairs at a time to avoid the see-throughness. Fine for in the winter but I would get too hot if I tried it at this time of year.

Decathlon Shape+ leggings. There's currently a sale, so some are about £9, but they're usually about £15. They have a bit of support, decent thickness as they are designed for exercise.

I bought my first pair for yoga, now I have several pairs.

I bought the Boden ones on the recommendation of a s&b thread... And they went bobbly on the third wear.

Years ago I bought some American apparel ones, which unfortunately my mum tum now doesn't fit in, but they still look like new. Expensive, but totally worth it (if they are the right shape for you).

I can't wear tights - unless they're cotton and cotton tights look more woolly than opaque, so I'm stuck with leggings. Just bought a pair of extra thick leggings from H&M.

H&M are good, I think they do 2 thicknesses but neither are see through. I'm sure they're only about £5.99? Excellent value

I bought some from monsoon they were so thick and comfortable with a handy tummy panel for those particularly fat days! They were expensive but worth every penny! Lasted two years (unfortunately I do t have the covented thigh gap so wore through them but took two years!)

Miss Selfridge. Similar to Sainsbury's (also very good) but slightly more refined fabric & finish at the ankle (a chunky ankle seam is not flattering to ankles).

I love leggings and tights and think they look great, don't know why people don't like them! It's not as if skinny jeans are any better by comparison, in fact I think skinny jeans are very unflattering unless you are a tiny beanpole.

I like thick leggings too and got some quite good ones from American apparel but my issue is stopping the black thick ones from fading? Any tips?
