Lovely purchases queenc love the colour of the boots.
Good news on the boots dream glad they sorted it.
Love the sound of your outfit amber
I like that leopard jacket happy go for it!

one hope you feel better soon. I know exactly how you feel, I just gave a blood test today and suspect my iron is very low too. I have been feeling exhausted as well as itching all over this week with no rash and no reason why. After googling it seems it could be due to anaemia. I stopped taking my iron tablets over the summer and that together with all the antibiotics and a 2 and half week cycle means I am probably really low on iron now.
Think I might hit the shops tomorrow and look for some patent loafers and maybe a new nars audacious lipstick to make me look less like a corpse

shopafrolic · 23/09/2016 07:06

Interesting article investment bags

Dreamqueen · 23/09/2016 08:22

Having looked at pics I know I'm neither on trend or that stylish!

libertydoddle · 23/09/2016 08:44

Lovely buys QueenC.
Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling great justa. Did the ABs work in the end? Have fun shopping today.
Interesting that all those investment bags rely on not being used shop. Seems a shame to own something beautiful for it just to be wrapped up in a dust bag and box all the time.
Lovely sunny day here. And thank goodness it's Friday!!

QueenCobalt · 23/09/2016 09:52

Interesting shop but it seems to be a lot of effort for not that much return. The first one said that she made 1k which is ok but I reckon with a good financial advisor you could make that with less hassle.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/09/2016 11:09

Dream that is very good service with the Pistols. I think mine have lasted 3-4 winters now like shop's, so hopefully now you'll be able to enjoy yours for years too.

One that sounds rough, hopefully the vits will help asap.

QueenC I'd love to know how many navy blouses you actually own! Grin Love the maison scotch one, their things are so nice.

I am off out on a work do today - lunch and a vineyard tour. Wearing MMK dress, Uterque two tone shoes and navy/white ted baker jacket. Love this dress so much!

QueenCobalt · 23/09/2016 11:41

blair I probably own more navy blouses than cardigans now! My friends laughed when I met them in London the other week as they said they knew I'd be in navy!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/09/2016 12:20

hope you're feeling better soon justa Thanks did the antib's work in the end? i hope they did

thanks all, i'm just glad to have got to the bottom of what's been causing my exhaustion and that it can be treated even if it's going to be slow going.hopefully, i'll be almost back to normal when my move comes around!

Just popping in to say hi as I have returned to the world of work so have much less time to MN!

Shop sorry things are so tough for your DF

Justa sorry you are still under the weather. Hope you are enjoying your shopping day.

That's great service from Acne Dream - I wonder what they do with all the defective zip boots??

one are they going to look into why you are anaemic?

QueenC love the boots and the top id on my wishlist.

Lib I could see you in this dress

maradesbois · 23/09/2016 16:28

Afternoon Voguettes,

Bernice congratulations on your job! Are you enjoying? Can totally see lib in that dress too and with the model's hairstyle.

justa and one hope you are both feeling better soon. Brew Flowers

Dream glad that Acne sorted you out. I still can't open your link btw. The Gucci fur loafers are mad I know but really love them. Wouldn't pay the price for something so of the moment but if I did would wear them like this

Still feeling rough myself, dragged myself out last night with course mates then dinner with dh but back on sofa with honey, lemon and ginger today Sad. No champagne Friday tonight.

FedupNagging · 23/09/2016 18:29

Oh dear, sorry to hear some of you are under the weather - Flowers for you Justa, One and Mara.

Extra hugs to Shop too. Buying and selling handbags sounds a lot more fun than stocks and shares although I can imagine dh's face if I suggest selling some shares to buy a birkin!

Well done on the job Bernice and yes, lovely dress for Lib.

Excellent cs from Acne Dream

Gorgeous colour boots Queen & lovely maison scotch blouse - can't open your third link.

Does anyone actually have a pair of backless loafers? I keep looking at them (used to have several pairs years ago) but am thinking they'd not get much wear until spring. I've not yet worn the pointy flats I bought a few weeks ago - keep wearing my stans.

Dh and ds3 have gone away for the night and I'm hoping ds2 will stay at his gf's - I really need fancy a night home alone with a bottle of wine and a box set.

shopafrolic · 23/09/2016 18:43

Waves to all.
Mara One and other poorly Voguettes - feel better soon.
DF is still in hospital. DS played at a friend's house after school. When I picked him up the lovely mum said she had got the boys to do their homework together, I could have kissed her! One less job for me this weekend.
No fashion news. Sorry......

Drywhitethanks · 23/09/2016 19:33

That's a great friend Shop....but people are great friends to people who are themselves great friends. X

Bernice plenty of new clothing purchase opps with a ne w job Wink

I've re ceived a couple of Boden work dresses....washable, 3/4 sleeves, nice length, not too constricting....perfecto

libertydoddle · 23/09/2016 19:35

Sounds like a fab friend shop. Great to have that job out of the way.

I love that dress but I swore I wouldn't buy anything else this month.....

Drywhitethanks · 23/09/2016 19:45

these shoes.....these have been a great buy. Look fab with almost everything I wear to work and getting lots of compliments. Thanks Blingy

FedupNagging · 23/09/2016 23:02

Nice dress Dry - loving the dark burgundy colourway.

So I didn't get the house to myself tonight - they both ended up back here! Oh well, I'm happy that they're happy, blah blah...

I sorted through my summer clothes earlier and realised that I'm disappointed with a fair few of my purchases this summer (admittedly I didn't buy much).

The Boden and BR crops are both too big and the BR's look shapeless. Will get belt loops added to the boden so that will help.

The BR breton t shirt has a hole and I've only worn it a couple of times.

The Asos sleeveless shirt is huge - too late to return and the lovely H&M linen t's lost their shape after just one wash - even though I did them on a handwash cycle.

Still, I love my Kate Spade bag and the stans have been a staple.

So, what is everyone's elses:

  1. disappointment item
  2. favourite item
this summer?
OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/09/2016 23:30

i've not really boguht much this sumemr at all. I think my favourite buy is either a russian doll print circle skirt or a grey and red tartan circle skirt. I don't think there's realyl been a worst buy as the little i've bought has been replacing basics that ive shrunk out of, if pushed it's probably the tights i bought that lasted less than a full day each pair. very disappointing as they were the perfect nude shade for me which is a colour i find very very difficult to get because of how pale my legs are

AdoraBell · 23/09/2016 23:35

Place marking for that investment bag article, looks like my teen was right.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/09/2016 23:43

to adora

Dreamqueen · 24/09/2016 07:57

Lovely dresses Dry & like the shoes also.

Shame about your crop trousers fedup I find trousers very hard to buy. Either they cut me in half or go all loose & saggy while wearing.

What a good friend you have shop & very practical help.

My most worn item this summer has also been the cheapest, breton dress I bought all the colours and love them.

My worst item is top Haven't worn it yet. My sister bought the same one & says the colour runs onto anything light while wearing it.

I coud say Pistols as my most disappointing item but I really want to love them so the jury is still out on them. They are comfy though.

Bought quite a lot this summer but could have made better choices on reflection.

I'm in bed, with no plan to get up. About to read the papers.
happy weekend MNV

VivaVegas · 24/09/2016 08:39

Morning,
Hope those feeling under the weather get a restful weekend and Shop sorry to hear of ongoing health issues for DF. Glad you made your Whistles purchase.
Nice purchases Dry and Queen. I have quite a few things delivered this week so will sort and try later, having hair cut and coloured today, long overdue so felt id feel better trying on whether I'm restored to a more groomed me!
Hair needs a wash, not sure to wash this morning if just leave, appointment isn't until this afternoon, anybody know?? Should have washed last night but too tired.

Stokey · 24/09/2016 08:46

Great buys QueenC, I can really picture you in all of them.

Congratulations on the job Bernice, what's your work wardrobe like?

Disappointing about the Breton top Fedup. Hush ruched skirt is probably the thing I've worn least. But I bought it in their sample sale in January, so it only cost a fiver.
Best buy has been the Hush jumpsuit for its versatility.
For those feeling under the weather, my osteopath recommended some immunity supplements earlier this year, after I had a series of colds & I haven't been ill since taking them. They're called NHP immunity support and are quite pricey but have worked for me.

Hope your Prosecco night helped you forget the stress for a bit Shop, how nice of your friend to sort homework out.

I went out for a "Gingo" night last night, gin bingo, very funny. I wore a green midi skirt from Cos, my Wear Kindred lips tee shirt, new Topshop bomber & some very old black block heels. I felt good.

Got another party tonight and will almost certainly be in the jumpsuit.
