If you had £100 to spend on perfume, what would you buy?

I need a new perfume. My go-to for that amount of money is the original Coco but I'm thinking of trying something new. I like spicey and warm frgrances, nothing aqua-ish or excessively flora but love anything with a cinnamon, black pepper, oriental kind of vibe. Any suggestions?

I used to love the original Fendi Theorema too but that was discontinued years ago.

Opium, my all time favourite. I only get it at Christmas

beeny · 08/09/2016 12:03

Hermes

LaCerbiatta · 08/09/2016 12:04

Jo malone amber and patchouli.

takesnoprisoners · 08/09/2016 12:06

Penhaligons do good Spicy and warm ones. I will go to harrods and have a look.

DixonOfDockGreen · 08/09/2016 12:07

Liz Earle No 15

auldfuckingspinster · 08/09/2016 12:08

Femme by Rochas.

crayfish · 08/09/2016 12:11

I don't like Opium because my (horrible) mother wears it! I love Penhaligons but never really know where to start as the names confuse me.

Do you find the Jo Malone lasts? Somebody bought me the greet tea one, which does smell very nice but it's gone within an hour.

I spent £100 yesterday on 2 perfumes. The first Michael Kors Coral and the second Gucci Bamboo.....both 50ml but absolutely gorgeous scents especially the coral!!

Diptyque Philosykos

Figgy heaven

squoosh · 08/09/2016 12:25

Although that doesn't really fit your brief.....

dragonsarebest · 08/09/2016 12:26

Parfums d'Empire's Ambre Russe. Bloody love that stuff (not a summer fragrance though).

HeyMacWey · 08/09/2016 12:28

Have a look at hermes Eau de merveilles. They have an ambre de merveilles which I love for winter.

Lupinlady5 · 08/09/2016 12:29

Coromandel from Chanel les exclusifs

BaronessBomburst · 08/09/2016 12:32

Andy Tauer - L'air de desert Marocain.
Someone's selling it on eBay with a starting bid of £69.

BaronessBomburst · 08/09/2016 12:33

Funnily enough, I'm currently trying to source an affordable bottle of Coco! Grin

Knightridergirl · 08/09/2016 12:35

Prada (Amber) Eau De Parfum

CorrigansDoorKnob · 08/09/2016 13:22

Coromandel by Chanel and LADDM by Andy Tauer are two great suggestions. I've also recently tried Guerlain Shalimar and was surprised at how much I liked it. You also can't beat Bois des Iles by Chanel for spicy and warm...

cressetmama · 08/09/2016 13:51

11 Semma by Odin might be up your street. It's warm and spicy, with a lovely amber-y base, and a flush of humbugs. Also, second Ambre Russe but neither of these is widely available (les senteurs in London) for trying out casually in the High Street. Now are they summer day scents (as if you need one in the UK more than five times a year).

teta · 08/09/2016 14:48

Kenzo jungle l'elephant might be up your street and can be sampled at BeautySpin.Alternatively I second LADDM by Tauer and Jo Malone's Dark amber and Ginger Lily( which I love but suspect it's an amber for lightweights).Another option might be a Guerlain exclusive or a Chanel one.

icouldabeenacontender · 08/09/2016 14:50

Guerlain or Bulgari.

Ilovenannyplum · 08/09/2016 14:58

Jo Malone- pomegranate noir
My all time favourite

needastrongone · 08/09/2016 15:08

Any Tom Ford would suit your brief.

Judydreamsofhorses · 08/09/2016 15:52

If it was my £100 I'd buy Heeley Agarwoud, but I agree with the Tom Ford suggestions.

shovetheholly · 08/09/2016 15:57

Penhaglion's L'Esprit du Roi!

MsRinky · 08/09/2016 16:03

100ml of Shazam! from 4160 Tuesdays. Perfect oriental, lasts ages, every time I wear it I have people sidling up to me to ask me what it is.
