Oh bollocks mara I was going to go to that but forgot all about it amidst the drama. I love CO stuff!

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/06/2016 15:20

happy yes my dkny bag came today. It wasn't quite what I was expecting in terms of the colour - I wasn't expecting the black I though it was just textured blue but I like the shape and size. So a bit undecided. Has yours come?

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 15:40

Mine's also arrived today everyone - I took one look at it and thought 'it's going back'!

Different from you, the colour was as I expected, it was the shape! It's so deep at the bottom ( looks flat on the website). It's also very rigid - I thought it would be softer.

However, it's now growing on me.. I'll try it with a few outfits then decide.

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/06/2016 16:13

happy mine is now boxed up ready to go back! I looked at it again and decided I just didn't love it and life is too short to keep a bag you don't love! I think I'll have a proper look round T5 next time I fly for something.

MarshaBrady · 21/06/2016 19:38

hello everyone, really missing you all, need to get back on

Upset about a v expensive Jil Sander jumper (luckily from the outnet but still, the real price was ridic) as it got ruined at an appointment when the soap was blocked and squirted all over the front. It was a plush place, do you think I can get them to pay?

Have had it dry cleaned, going for another go a gentle clean, guy says washing it will make it worse. Ahhh my most expensive cashmere

shopafrolic · 21/06/2016 19:48

Marsha NOOOOOO not the JS - worth a try with the plush place I reckon but may be tricky if you didn't complain at the time.
Good call on returning the bags ladies.

I thought it would come out, it was only soap Sad

They did see it happen though and were very apologetic. But I still think it's fat chance saloon Sad

Love the tandem buying Every and Happy

QueenC1 · 21/06/2016 21:04

marsha it's got to be worth a try. Especially if they saw it happen.

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 21:08

Grin I was the copy cat marsha

everyone I think I'll probably keep mine.. I love the colour, it's just the shape that was a shock but it's definitely grown on me..

libertydoddle · 21/06/2016 21:13

Oh no Marsha Sad. I am shocked that a soap stain won't come out.

Shame about the DKNY bag Everyone but you are right. Too many nice bags out there to waste money on the wrong one. Will be interesting to hear your verdict Happy Smile

I had a little look around the shops today. I bought this slouchy sweater in Jigsaw.

Also bought this non sale dress in Hobbs. Like it a lot styled with the cardigan I got in TKMaxx last week and my lovely new belt. Doing this sort of look - works I think for summer with tan sandals and for autumn/winter with navy opaques and tan brogues.

The sales are not that exciting. Looked in Jigsaw, Cos, Banana Republic, Hobbs and J Crew.

libertydoddle · 21/06/2016 21:15

Cross post with Happy - I think you give Blingy and Amber a run for their money with the bag collection Grin

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/06/2016 21:36

marsha what a shame about your jumper

liberty I like that style idea of the dress. I agree that the clothes sales are not that great, though maybe it's because the weather is so miserable it's hard to be excited about summer clothes?

Despite saying I'd wait, I've just ordered this blue bag 2 as it seemed too good a bargain to miss Grin

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 22:29

Grin that's me for a while lib famous last words

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 22:56

Can anyone help pls? I have an off shoulder poplin top from Zara. I really want a plain black one but can't find one for a reasonable price.

I've ordered this Marks and Spencer one, it's 100% cotton (Zara one is cotton mix) - do you think it would dye black ok?

libertydoddle · 21/06/2016 23:09

The material will dye well happy but most clothes are sewn together with polyester thread which won't dye so it could look weird.

libertydoddle · 21/06/2016 23:14

LOVE that Coach bag everyone. Great price.

HappyGirlNow · 22/06/2016 06:38

Aw thanks lib Sad

Alternatively, has anyone seen a similar cotton off shoulder top in black please?

HappyGirlNow · 22/06/2016 06:48

And in another variation on inaccurate stock control issue - off to the Lake District this weekend on the motorbikes (praying weather picks up), meeting friends so booked three rooms in a hotel through booking.com.

Email night saying their system was wrong and they've overbooked, no rooms for us, offering us 'the opportunity' of rooms in another town! Or if we're really wanting to be in the same place a other hotel there. No apology or anything Hmm

I did go back and say perhaps an apology for the inconvenience might have been appropriate.. I then got email apologising hmm

Anyhoo I'll check out the other hotels and ask our friends what they want to do today. This on the back of Topshop skirt and Rayes makes me not trust technology much right now meh

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/06/2016 08:09

happy you aren't having much luck with online systems at the moment.

In the office today then out with friends later. I'm liking today's OOTD - navy and cream French connection dress from way back, cream cardigan, navy leather wrap bracelet, oak mulberry Effie and tan French connection sandals.

Have a good day everyone!

libertydoddle · 22/06/2016 09:50

You have had a bad on-line run Happy. Hope you can get decent accommodation and can enjoy the weekend as planned.

Outfit sounds lovely Everyone. Today I am wearing Uniqlo navy shirt dress, with tan Zara jacket, beige superga (lots of walking between meetings and if Angela Rudd can wear trainers with her suit on Newnight then it's ok!) and coral Jaeger tote. Outfit tastefully accessorised with blue, white and red 'I'm In' stickers goes all political on S&B

shopafrolic · 22/06/2016 12:16

Wearing my Ganni red striped dress. Epic wardrobe fail given it rained all morning but I had heard rumours of 24 degrees this afternoon Hmm

And now I've had an email from Harvey Nichols saying they can't fulfil the new order for the Raye's either! Seriously, what is up with their system? Confused

maradesbois · 22/06/2016 14:56

Hello,

Oh no Shop, not raining here but very heavy and humid think its not far off. Have end of term party tonight and wanted to wear a cotton sundress with strappy sandals I got from Charlotte O sale but not weather appropriate and can't expose my hooves without pedicure which don't have time for.

Can't find a link to that pair of sandals but also got these ones. Was swayed by the price, £75, not my usual style, fabric is bandana-like but love how the Outnet has styled them v simply.

Lib the pt thing sounds great, really need to look into doing similar, will check at our local council gym as don't want to pay £££ for a private one I don't use. Another great outfit description btw, supergas work v well am sure.

Happy that's such terrible service from the hotel. Think you need to stay analogue for a while!

Marsha ShockShock about your jumper. Never heard of cashmere that can't be washed. Jil has to rethink (her?) textile selection.

Everyone belated welcome btw. Outfit sounds lovely, can't go wrong with navy and white/cream.

maradesbois · 22/06/2016 15:00

Clarification: have just asked Google and jil sander is indeed a woman

libertydoddle · 22/06/2016 19:22

OK ladies. Your help is needed. I have today been invited to a rather naice black tie dinner. Lots of people with titles on the invite list!! Am both excited and terrified. I need a dress and shoes, and bag and bling GrinGrin

Bring me your best suggestions as cheap as possible, autumn colours. I need to look elegant, super poised, hint of sexiness but not too much (this is work related). Will be travelling by Tube to get there.
