So...hungover...

HappyGirlNow · 19/06/2016 17:31

Rahh Harvey Nichol's emailed to say a stock control inaccuracy at the warehouse means they can't fulfill my order of Raye sandals. Annoyed! Bought these Dune ones instead but really wanted the Raye.. Meh..

Hope everyone's weather is better than here.. It's pouring! Off out for tapas in Edinburgh tonight, and bubbles too Grin

Amber hope the hangover has subsided..

QueenC1 · 19/06/2016 19:57

Feeling smug as despite being out last night I havent had a hangover today!
happy-that happened to someone one else on here-marsha I think?

It's been quite damp here so envious of those of you with sun. Wore my BR khakis for the first time today. Not entirely convinced that they are really me but they make a nice change from jeans and I'll certainly wear them for more casual things but perhaps not for going out for tea in again.

QueenC1 · 19/06/2016 20:08

Saw this and thought of you dry

shopafrolic · 19/06/2016 20:58

Happened to me too last sale Happy not impressed. Sounds like HN need to invest in better back end systems. Fab weekend in Brighton. Knackered now.

Agree shop and they weren't even in the blinking sale..

Stokey · 19/06/2016 21:54

Just checking in briefly after busy weekend. We did arrive in torrential rain on Friday evening, and had a rather damp supper with warming gin but luckily the rest of the weekend was dry. Poor dd2 developed a fever though so it's been a long weekend. Am planning on doing some online sales shopping as she'll be off nursery slumped in front of telly tomorrow. Have a good evening all.

HappyGirlNow · 20/06/2016 07:49

Ugh an ad for these beauties keeps popping up on my MN, must do a photo comparison thingy to bring up styles like ones you've been looking at.. These are like the Raye's I ordered that are out of stock but nicer and ,ore expensive.. They don't have my size in stock but looks like it'll be coming back in.. Hmm..

shopafrolic · 20/06/2016 16:34

Blimey guys
Anybody would think the weather is making us all miserable Hmm
No style news to report. Just want the rain to stop. Longest day of the year today..... it's all down hill from now on!

Dreamqueen · 20/06/2016 16:42

Not much S&B news here except that I love love my new properly fitting bras from Bravissimo. It was well worth the effort of hanging around town on Sat afternoon to get properly fitted. The had some nice but pricey swimwear. I stocked on swimwear & cover ups earlier in the year but will try here next time.

No more spending for me this month. must try and stick to it

Everyonelovessparkles · 20/06/2016 16:56

Hello. No S&B news to report here either.

Hope your DD is feeling a bit better shop

Glad the weekend wasn't a total washout Stokey

shopafrolic · 20/06/2016 20:14

DS seems better thanks Everyone
Shattered though. This is a long term.
Reformer pilates tomorrow. I get to wear my new Sweaty Betty kit that DH bought me in Brighton. :)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/06/2016 20:39

Hi all! I'm knackered after a very wet and very boozy weekend in Ireland :)

Nap sales order arrived. The Sam E sandals (Gretel - embellished version of Gigis) are definitely keepers, so nice! The jeans were disappointing. Really struggled to button them up (couldn't zip them, no way!) and the back still gaped, which is a feat considering they had a 10" rise or something crazy. Basically not cut for a waist, very odd. And even with my highest platform sandals they were too long. Cries.

I went for a jog today, first time since my glandular fever. The weather completely cleared up from earlier. It felt good!

All those sandals are nice Happy but my favourites are the Rayes.

AmberNectarine · 20/06/2016 21:19

Mixed bag of a weekend. Great day at Kidzania on Friday, wicked night out on Saturday;m, devastating hangover on Sunday with Coldplay in the evening (which surpassed expectations). However, came home to a very poorly DS who was struggling to breathe. Called ambulance and was raced to hospital. He has a nasty chest infection (showed no signs of illness other than a mild cough on Sunday morning prior to this!) and is now home with anti-Bs. I have slept a whole 3h since Friday night and scarcely have the energy to type this post! However, he has picked up no end today, so who cares?!

libertydoddle · 20/06/2016 21:35

Sorry to hear DS has been so poorly amber. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

shop I think the weather has knocked everyone's mojo hence the silence. And it's just generally gloomy ATM with the news / referendum etc.

I had my first personal training session this morning. Surprised myself as I thought I was really unfit but I really enjoyed it and the PT said I had great stamina go me. Going to do 2 sessions a week for 4 weeks to kick-start a new habit. I've been buzzing all day after it Grin

FedupNagging · 20/06/2016 22:06

Poor ds Amber and what a shock for you. Glad he's on the road to recovery and hope you manage to get a good nights sleep tonight.

Lib well done on your pt session - onwards and upwards.

Shop your reformer pilates looks really good - I used to do normal pilates but gave up a few years ago no staying power

Blair shame about the jeans but I liked the sandals when you linked them (at least I think it was you!)

Apols if I've missed any fab links but have just scanned mnv before bed!

justasecond · 20/06/2016 23:31

Glad your ds is on the mend amber how scary for you.
Lib that sounds great, a kickstart with a pt is an excellent idea to get you going.
Blair shame about those jeans but lovely sandals
thanks for all the well wishes for ramadan, it is indeed tough but maybe not as hard as you may think, its amazing what the body can cope with. Yes dream we do break the fast with dates as they are good for restoring blood sugar levels and also to stop overeating Blush. The rubbish weather is definitely making it easier too!

I have bought a few things in the jigsaw sale, will link when they arrive.
Night all x

shopafrolic · 21/06/2016 07:04

Morning all. Sunshine for a little while this morning at least.
I watched a new TV show last night The Slap. Great cast - looks quite promising. Anyone seen it?

Have lovely days Voguettes :)

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/06/2016 07:19

shop I think that is an American remake of an Australian series that was out a few years ago. I read the book at the time and didn't really like it so didn't bother with the show, but a lot of people thought it was good.

amber sorry to hear about DS but glad he's on the mend.

Several of the Little ones seem to be suffering at the moment.

QueenC1 · 21/06/2016 08:01

amber glad ds is better. Hope you've caught up on sleep.
lib that's great. PT are great for kick starting a routine. I did circuits yesterday for the first time in ages and had forgotten how much I love it. Whereas I often want to punch jillian michael in the face when im doing killer body DVD.
blair shame about the jeans.

No style news here. I'm just enjoying being in cropped trousers/jeans and 3/4 length sleeve tops. Probably my favourite sort of outfit. with a cardi added in of course!

KittyHello · 21/06/2016 10:20

Glad ds is on the mend Amber

Glad you're enjoying working out with a PT Lib

Justa glad Ramadan is going well

Bought the last of the items on my sales list khaki Jigsaw jacket, I've tried it on loads in store and this batwing sweater That's it I'm done now!

Have returned the playsuit, it did absolutely nothing for me, I think I'm too short for it.

Sunny here, woop woop, please no more rain, pretty please!

maradesbois · 21/06/2016 10:35

Phew, found you!

Aargh, so fed up with uni work, have had head in books all weekend apart from break to see new Tate Modern building which is fab. Feeling very run down, lib your pt regime sounds fab. Do you go to gym or outside, how does it work?

Amber poor ds, always so scary when the doc says they need to go to hospital. Glad he's on the mend.

Sun is finally shining today so made the effort to get out of jeans. Brought out the big guns, olive green silk céline shirt dress with tan/white bicolour tod's flats.

Went to Charlotte Olympia sample sale yesterday, not a brand I usually look at but prices were soooo good. Will link purchases later.

Happy love the belt!

Stokey hope dd is feeling better too.

Blair the jeans sound a very strange fit. Have looked at Vanessa Seward on nap, like the look but never bought anything.

Blingy loved your black tie outfit description with the red shoes.

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 11:35

Wow kitty love the khaki jacket!!

amber glad your wee one is picking up now.

That's a shame about the jeans blair they look fantastic too.. And I know re the Rayes, they're my favourite too, bloody Harvey Nichols.. And in another inaccurate stock issue, the Topshop denim skirt I was desperate on came back into stock in my size yesterday, I ordered, all fine, woke up to an email today cancelling order as out of stock.. RAHH So annoying Angry

everyone has your blue DKNY bag arrived yet? What do you think?

libertydoddle · 21/06/2016 11:40

Mara your outfit today sounds fabulous! The PT is in my local council gym. It's £110 for 4 sessions which are 1 hour long. She had a chat first on the phone about what I wanted and then just worked with me in the gym - all interval training so things like cross trainer for 2 mins, then 30 secs going flat out on the cross trainer then 30 secs rest then straight into squats, lunges, wall sit etc and repeat! Was good because she keeps eye on time and my heart rate so makes sure you keep heart rate up and pushes me harder than I'd do myself. Then we did lots of circuits with free weights (more squats with kettleball or weights) and things like tricep dips etc. Today I feel like I had a proper workout, aching but not so bad that I can't move (which has happened to me before after classes etc and puts me off going again).

Kitty I have had my eye on that jacket too Smile. Going to try it and another couple of things in Jigsaw today (have some time between meetings which has been earmarked for a quick Jigsaw and Cos visit).

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2016 12:10

Right! Ordered the Raye sandals in size 6.5 (I'm a 6) can always put a wee insole in.. Grin
