MarshaBrady · 20/07/2016 09:48

Happy birthday! [fizz] Thanks Cake

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2016 09:49

Glad last night was great fun

KittyHello · 20/07/2016 09:50

Glad you had a great time last night Lib sounds like great fun esp the flirty attractive men bit Wink

Shop saw a woman in Waitrose with your blue an white stripe dress on, it looked good.

Lovely to see you back here Viva glad you asked those questions because we too are going to one of those resorts, I was more wondering about make-up but Amber has answered my questions perfectly.

Hope everyone is enjoying the hot weather, I'm giving the Boden chino shorts an airing.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/07/2016 11:16

Sounds fun Lib, bet you looked great! Happy birthday! Cake Wine

No glam summer holiday for me this year, we are going to PILs second home in France and they will be there with us (FIL recently retired and they're doing up the house they bought next door). It's in a country village so will just take shorts, sundresses etc.

3rd day of heatwave and I was moaning about not having much workwear for this heat... DH said "Why don't you wear your shorts?" Hmm so I am (he means my Hobbs culottes!) with a really old bright blue Zara top tucked in, and the same sandals as yesterday.

shopafrolic · 20/07/2016 11:31

Happy Birthday Lib - how did I not write that down!?? WineFlowersWine
Kitty that striped dress has been reduced even further in the Outnet sale. Size down if anyone goes for it!

Everyonelovessparkles · 20/07/2016 11:53

Happy birthday lib did you get anything nice (nosey). Glad you had a good time last night.

No glam holidays for me either blair. We went to menorca a few weeks ago which was very nice but I expect we won't be going any where glam till the DC are a bit bigger.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 20/07/2016 12:34

Happy birthday Lib. Sounds like fun was had yesterday.

Holiday evening wardrobes........yikes......need to think about cruise attire.......think I may peak this year normally very casual self caterer on holiday....... Have never had to take black tie/evening wear on holiday Grin.....my run up should entertain you all.

FedupNagging · 20/07/2016 14:40

We're home!! Got back a couple of days ago to this gorgeous weather so hopefully I can prolong the tan for a little while longer.

Happy birthday Lib Wine Flowers Last night sounded great - I bet you looked stunning in your Coast dress.

Marsha is it tomorrow you go on your hols? You sound very demob happy!

Blair today's outfit sounds fab.

I did a 'Blingy' last week and did a spot of sunbed shopping Grin and got
this bag - have been looking for a red bag for a while but getting the right shade of red takes some doing am fickle

I'm not usually that keen on MK bags - too much gold hardwear, but this is really lovely. I may need to remove the MK tag though!

Dreamqueen · 20/07/2016 14:40

massive (for me) Outnet petit bateau order done.
This dress
vest top
T shirt
breton
and a gift for my sister

Oviously going through a blue phase. All at bargain prices.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/07/2016 14:51

Think that's the dress shop has Dream? Great bargains! You do love your stripes don't you Grin

Fedup welcome back! Bet you had an amazing time? I think the colour of that bag is gorgeous.

I was just looking at coats on NAP. I must be mad.

QueenC1 · 20/07/2016 14:53

Phew what a scorching couple of days.
Happy birthday lib Cake Wine Flowers. Bet you looked beautiful last night.

Like blair ive realised I haveva lack of summer work clothes. Wore my black dress yesterday (same as blair) and I utterly love it. My manager said I looked smart-think she meant it as a compliment. I had to wear cropped trousers today though but luckily it's cooled down a bit.

No idea about post resorts as we tend to do villas. I guess if it was me I'd wear dresses and flats or shorts and nice top if I could get away with them ( can't remember whether you said you could or not). Can't be doing with over fussy things in this heat and rarely do jewellery or heels. Make up wise I stick to having tinted eyelashes and a bit of powder for shine and lipstick.

Everyonelovessparkles · 20/07/2016 15:20

dream good stripey order! Think you have a top for every weather eventuality there Grin

fedup looks like you brought the sun back with you. Hope you had a nice time. Love the colour of that bag.

Stokey · 20/07/2016 15:45

Happy Birthday Lib Wine Cake hope you're having a lovely day and not too hungover after last night (gorgeous dress btw)

Welcome back Fedup , love the bag.

Viva DH has just done a big Massimo Dutti shop, they are great for men's Euro style smart casual clothes, and the sale is on.

Thanks for all the concern re DH, I was getting a bit worried about his slow recovery, but he perked up a lot at the weekend and is having his first day working from home today, just a few under radar hours.

Gosh it's hot, took advantage of my last childfree day to go swimming in Hampstead ponds, lush. Such a great variety of women there from teenagers to old ladies, I really hope I'm still swimming in lakes when I'm in my 70s.

I've done a bikini shop recently, not sure whether I'll keep any so will link if i do. Also a final Hush sale shop of basics, I kept dallying with the Venice striped dress that Viva got, but I've already got it in red. Am sure someone on here (Shop?) advised not to buy the same thing in different colours cos there is always one you like more.

shopafrolic · 20/07/2016 17:09

That was me Stokey but advice I was given by a previous Voguette.
Dream that is my perfect Outnet order. Love stripes. Great prices. Love the maxi - tempting but ordered a bikini today as tried my old ones on and they were a bit saggy after weight loss so I am on no shopping until August now.
GAP order has arrived. Will try on once I move from this sun lounger and am a bit less sweaty!
DH is in final rounds of interviewing (internal role) at the moment - hopefully we'll find out before we go on holiday. It's looking positive. Would be great to celebrate while away.
Lib hope you've enjoyed your day
Welcome back Fedup I'm like that with red too and gold hardware

shopafrolic · 20/07/2016 17:11

Stokey my aunt and uncle used to live just round the corner from the ponds. Many a happy summer there.
Meant to say am off for pre holiday prep at the beauty salon tomorrow - can't wait. Waxing, pedicure, shellac on hands and feet, and lash lift. Well overdue.

OP posts:
OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/07/2016 17:19

ugh, i am melting! I just can't get cool no matter what i do. I am even braving a crop top despite my stomach being less than washboard abs Grin in fairness i have a high waisted skirt on so there's barely an inch of flesh showing so i don't think anyone needs to run screaming haha

Dreamqueen · 20/07/2016 17:30

Stokey I need to take onboard Shops advice of not buying same style in different colours. I have a habit of doing that.
Blair & Shop I have a weakness for stripes. I think they suit ne more than patterns & I find them so easy to wear. That was my first ever Outnet order, I've looked on there loads but have always baulked at the price of delivery before. My brother has talked me around about the delivery, commenting that its not more that train in and out of London & a coffee!!!! I think he was enabling. Smile

Anyway that is the last of my online shopping for while (don't really need anything) and need to Kondo the wardrobes. In the same breath, asking Stokey where did you bikini buy from? I could do with a few new ones.

Hope the birthday is going well Lib & that you're drowning in prosecco/champagne Wine

shopafrolic · 20/07/2016 17:39

Keeping this GAP dress
and this one which is super neon IRL
The pink in particular is a great fit and the fabric drapes well.
Less said about the off the shoulder top the better. Shame as lovely fabric and would be very cool to wear but made me look pregnant. I think they are for people with no chest? Boobs just don't work with them......
Boden bikini top I ordered
I wanted tie briefs but they didn't have them in my size so went with these instead which are probably safer!
All set for holiday now.

Drywhitethanks · 20/07/2016 20:35

Great orders everyone.

Just loving this weather...having all of the windows open, feels as if I'm on holiday. Tried the ventilated seats in my car today ......totally brilliant if a bit odd.

Vogueettes I'm feeling pathetic, so pathetic I can't talk about it IRL. Thought this 10k (Sunday Sad ) would be a great challenge and motivate me to go out running more. I've been to the gym a lot more recently, running on the treadmill and doing intervals but I'm panicking now because, although I'm fit, I loathe running spinning, weights, anything else no problem and haven't EVER run 10k!!! I can do 5 with a little breather Sad am going to run a lot tomorrow but I'm feeling totally PANICKED and need to regain a sense of proportion. Think I'm in denial and hoping the team comeraderie not all fit and adrenaline will get me through. Hope I'll suprise myself.
Why? Why do I do these stupid things?

Not exactly a huge problem in the scheme of things
