My approach is to say loudly "have I done something to upset you" it works only if a) there is an audience b) she is likely to be shamed and c) you can deliver the statement as if you couldn't give a fuck one way or the other. Alternatively gush "I'm so glad we're being honest I've been meaning to tell you your tache needs waxing" Either way it's likely game over for your friendship cos who needs idiots like that in their life?

I would probably quietly seethe and then think up lots of perfect come backs after the occasion and just try and avoid her in the future.
