QueenC1 · 10/07/2016 09:31

for marsha

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2016 10:16

Nice QueenC. For the v cold weather. Quite warm and muggy today.

What's everyone up to today?

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2016 10:18

That came out wrong, not that I'm going to buy and wear it today Grin

More a segue into my excellent second question

KittyHello · 10/07/2016 10:20

Black patent Gigis for £45 quite a few sizes left

Drywhitethanks · 10/07/2016 10:25

Marsha.....I'm cooking roast beef and Yorkshire pud etc.....a typical English summer lunch Hmm... We have an exchange student staying.

Amber multiple sleepovers are hell....I warn my dCs that I can be polite until my make up comes off and pjs on, then if the noise compntinues after midnight I will be embarrassing psycho mum. Smile

All returned, all looking rather worse for wear......it will be quiet in my house until the footie starts and lots of noisy teenagers and Middle aged men as DH has invited Dads too arrive to watch. I will take refuge in my boudoir with a Wine and watch the final episode of Outlander and sob no doubt on the iPad bliss

Drywhitethanks · 10/07/2016 10:26

If anyone ever sees animal print GiGis reduced please PM me .......

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2016 10:38

We are taking this band of urchins to the south bank for a pub lunch. Christ, I've never heard so many fart jokes in my life. The three boys are basically knocking 7 bells out of each other, while DD is sitting quietly, colouring, occasionally making a judgemental comment.

kitty - I don't know how you do it!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2016 11:23

Dry they had SE sandals, similar to Gigis but with an extra strap at the sides in animal print on the Outnet........
Morning all. Another BBQ today. It's raining Hmm

Amber - aha - it sounds exciting to me.....I did a big career change a couple of years back....sending lots of luck your way and hope you have thingy (technical term) sorted and written for tomorrow.

Hang on....is this along with looking after 4 DC?! Shock....wowser are you superwoman?. This will change the kind of outfit suggestion for interview/work made previously and will now include a cape. Good luck for farty-joker lunch!.

Hello to all who have said hello - drywhite - you are frequently my favourite tipple so surely bound to get on Grin.

stokey I hope your DH is doing ok.....

St Tropez tan on legs - success.....feets - no.

First night away last night since having DD - cocktails, great food, bubbly, flirting with DP - back at the Hotel by 10pm for a film and a bottle of bubbly together and a lie in and late breakfast this morning. Heavenly!. Three cheers for the GP.

Hope you are all having a grand Sunday. Hope BBQ goes well shop....raining here too....looking forward to a bit of Wimbledon final and a chilled out day.

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2016 12:54

God no, peach, they're not all mine - two of them belong to my brother and will be given back!

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2016 12:57

Oh, and glad you had a lovely night away - we didn't manage to leave ours until DD was almost 4. Do it quite a lot now though and think it does wonders for our relationship!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/07/2016 13:13

i' okay thanks QueenC just planning with dp about whats goign to happen over the next couple of months, hoping he gets a moderate but still enough for what we need bonus. its all practical stuff its earmarked for though, no frivolous spending right now for either of us!

amber you're braver than me having four children to look after, i struggle when i look after my sister's 3 children as they are just whirlwinds of energy!!!

peachlife · 10/07/2016 13:30

Amber - that still leaves you with two - cape still required in my book!.

Ahh thank you amber- it really was a fantastic night and did us the world of good. A few tears when I left her....but they soon dried and we did relax. Talked about her a fair bit but managed to talk about other stuff too. Wowser you didn't have a night away until DD was 4?! - glad you are managing to have time for the two of you more now - I think it was great for the two of us. We have booked the next one Grin.

Phase 8 dress has arrived - really lovely - definitely bargainous - will update once I can fit into it!. I waved original price tag at DP before telling him the enormous discount and demanding he be impressed.

Another good cosmetic find.....just bought bronzer (Hoola) from Benefit. Have been using Bare Minerals.....Hoola is MUCH better. Use as bronzer and to do some random flicking of the brush contouring.

QueenC1 · 10/07/2016 14:07

We've been for a walk this morning. Dc found it hilarious watching loads of dogs swim and play in a stream/pond and now want one Hmm.

Just trying to chill now before ferrying dd to a party and ds to a Cubs thing. All I want to do is have a cheeky nap!

peachlife · 10/07/2016 14:26

Queen - I highly advocate the loveliness of having a dog that likes to swim and play in streams. The loveliness of washing of said dog is directly proportional to amount of dog hair. Hence we have very short haired dog - we suspect he may be crossed with a duck Grin.

Sounds like your cheeky nap may be tricky - cheeky espresso instead? - or Cake. Have some birthday cake here and would gladly send you over a slice to keep you going!

Drywhitethanks · 10/07/2016 15:09

Damn.......got back from gym all sweaty in my betty, needing a shower and water to cook my roast.....bloody burst mains somewhere and no water.............so still smelly, and I'm expecting a hous full of teenaged boys at 6.30 who will obv need loos and NO DS they can't pee in the garden keeping my fingers crossed for swift repair and glad of my stock piling of drinking water when I was paranoid terrorists were going to poison the water supply in my little village, will use to cook

peachlife · 10/07/2016 16:23

Lucky you were paranoid then drywhite Hmm - fingers crossed for a super swift repair.

In other news the gym on a Sunday is very noble!.

Drywhitethanks · 10/07/2016 18:13

Peach I do a class at 11.....can't manage any earlier on the weekend...

peachlife · 10/07/2016 19:58

dry hurray for the toileting facilities!.

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2016 20:23

No dog, but I do have a water loving son. Lunch on the south bank ended with him waist deep in the Thames. Grim. I was inside quaffing prosecco, so we can blame DH. Have just gone to run a bath and discovered a layer of silt at the bottom. Lovely.

Great afternoon though, I do enjoy busy, family filled weekends.

peach no, she just didn't sleep through (or more than 2hrs straight) until she was 3 and I bf until that point - not by choice, it was the only way she would sleep and I was too exhausted to go into battle. I only managed to break her by having a huge row with DH (I was basically insane by that point) and staying out getting drunk all night - she slept through then and pretty much every night since. Now she actually asks to go to bed at 7pm!

No fashion news to report really. OOTD was a multicoloured leopard print Equipment silk chiffon shirt, Topshop skinnies, burgundy flat rockstuds, whistles biker jacket and the colour block R&B bag from last year's MU. I did wear a new lipstick though - Super Cindy from the new Charlotte Tilbury hot lips range, (designed for Cindy Crawford, I think), which is a nice peachy nude.

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2016 20:24

And dry, I remember the water being out in our flat when I was very pregnant with DS. Not good times! Glad it's back!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2016 21:25

DS is 5 and we still haven't had a night away without him. Hmm
Nice chilled weekend of Bbqs and Wimbledon final. Thrilled for the winner (no spoilers here).

Good morning you stylish lot - Happy Monday one and all.

amber - Good luck today!. Shock for the not sleeping for longer than 2 hrs for 3 years. We were on our knees after 8 weeks or so of that....I look back already and shudder, i simply cannot imagine the exhaustion after 3 years. Glad it's all over and the little lady is happy for bedtime at 7!.

I was just looking at Charlotte Tilbury make up!. Haven't tried any - would you recommend?. A peach shade is just what I am after....

What is "last years MU?"....your OOTD sounds lovely!.

shop - also thrilled for the winner here - sad for the runner up as always but it was a deserved win. £2m isn't a bad pay day is it!. I was shocked to see mixed doubles winners share a winners pot of £100k by comparison.
