Cardigans Shop Sad

Mara "not what you'd expect"!!!! Shock I'm used to those sort of presents ......... But I think your Dh has a better track record than mine.

Has anyone tried the St Tropez 3min shower off self tan? Went to Boots for a general stock up and think it sounds good .

Have been roasting garlic heads to make garlic purée ...house smells divine not if you're a vampire

Amber I remember that bag wish I could remember current affairs/important thigs as well love how you do a statement bag, it's lovely.

Have finally managed to kit out DD for 2 formal nights on our cruise....God bless you Top Shop will have to keep her away from naked flames.....and randy teenaged boys

And, yes, I've had a large Hendricks.....it's been a busy day Grin

shopafrolic · 05/07/2016 19:31

I'm on the gin too. Ant infestation marching through the back door and all over my new shiny kitchen. I may have screamed and sworn

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 19:51

Get a cat. He eats all the insects that cross the threshold. Though he did also eat a slug and then vomit on my kitchen floor, so on balance, he's a dick

Lol Amber. Poor you shop, reminds me of a uni housemate who, upon us discovering loads of ants eating something sticky that had been spilled and not cleaned up around the fridge, said "oh cute, leave them alone, they'll find their way back out when they're ready"!!!

Love the chat of potential Chanels. I'm in the wouldn't use it enough camp. I hate it when bags get battered.

I have no buys to report, been busy at work and got the car sorted. But need advice on the birthday watch - Omega constellation remember - do I go for 24mm or 27mm? I have small wrists so am leaning towards the smaller one. I've no idea what size(s) I have tried on! Dh says the difference will be noticeable Hmm. Any advice oh vogue gurus?

One hope you're ok Flowers

QueenC1 · 05/07/2016 20:51

Shitty day but I do love our inane fashion chat to lighten the mood Smile.
shop I'm quite liking whistles too at the moment. Love some silver shoes in there but far too expensive. I have found my perfect winter going out shoe elsewhere but also £££.
dry I think a watch would be better cpw as how would you use the chanel? Day or evening? But then again if you don't get a chanel now you may never unless you wait another decade! I remember lara telling me not to get one as I'd be too scared to use it. Every time I have money in my savings I get tempted but then hear her words Grin.
blair are we literally talking 3mm? Will the difference be that noticeable? Personally I'd go smaller for you.
one hope you're doing ok my lovely.

QueenC1 · 05/07/2016 20:55

Talking of perfect shoes, how lush are these?. No way would I pay that much though even with a 20% discount as they'd get too trashed too quickly,

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 21:08

He also tried to eat a bee. The inevitable happened and he appeared looking like someone had inflated his head.

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 21:11

I have to be honest, I don't baby my bags. They are slung on the floor, danced round in clubs etc. So I may well be giving them a harder time than needed. That said, I also have LOADS, so they are only in service a day or two a month each, max.

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 21:13

If it's diameter, it will be noticeable cause that's an extra 3mm all round. I think larger. You are romantic classic, not ingenue. Don't go too dainty.

Drywhitethanks · 05/07/2016 23:17

Didn't you get a little stool for your Chanel Amber Grin

Wise words again from Lara

Longislandicetee · 06/07/2016 06:21

I have a friend at work who is appalled by how badly I treat my bags. She says everything I plonk a £2k bag on the floor it's like scratching on a board with fingers.BlushGrin

I used my Mulberry Roxanne yesterday. It was love. I wore a white fluted mini skirt from Banana Republic , orange top with a side tie by Ann Taylor, beige jacket, and Valentino love latches shoes. Lots of compliments on how summery I looked in my white skirt and bare legs. I am sure they were thinking my skirt was too shortGrin

Everyonelovessparkles · 06/07/2016 08:23

bling outfit sounds lovely. I was very summery yesterday too in a pink flowered Ralph Lauren dress.

Oh no shop! I hate ants. And especially when it's flying ant day!

blair could you cut a circle out of paper the size of the watch faces and see which size looks best (I'm obviously spending too much time doing crafts with DD!)

Another sunny morning here. I'm not as summery as yesterday but like today's outfit of navy Boden blackberry dress, gold sandals, navy leather wrap Swarovski bracelet, grey cardigan and grey leather tote.

Last day happy!hope it goes well.

libertydoddle · 06/07/2016 08:38

Oh no everyone you have just reminded me of the flying ant horror Shock. What are they? I don't remember this happening before a few years ago. Your outfit today sounds lovely.

Blingy yesterday's outfit sounds lovely. I try to avoid putting my £75 Jaeger tote on the floor! I'd be a wreck with expensive bags.

I'm wearing the same dress today that I wore yesterday Blush. My new Hobbs navy and kakhi leopard print shirt dress. It's very comfy Smile.

Met Mara, and sleep last night. Was really nice mini MU and they both looked fab. Flowers for Mara for the loan of a lovely gold DVF clutch for my black tie event.

I have meetings I can't rearrange today so am missing DD's end of year assembly. DH will be there but feeling a bit Sad. He has promised to take lots of photos.

maradesbois · 06/07/2016 08:55

Morning,

Everyone yes, shudder at flying ant day! Have childhood memories of my friend's house being full of them, all caught up in the net curtains Shock

Yes was fab to see the lovelies lib and sleep last night. Love the dress lib. A great catch up but was so tired nearly fell asleep in uber on the way home.

Regarding bags am very protective of my trio as leather is so soft and the colour seems to highlight any mark. Otherwise am happy to plonk on floor etc, like bags to look worn in, not wrecked but like you've had them for years. My goyard tote has gone a bit far into worn territory though. I've been using it to carry sainsbo's shop since the 5p bag charge plus uni books and files which have made a hole and straps make an ominous creaking noise. Think they repair though.

Going back to Shop's hairdresser this morning and skin clinic for glycolic peel later, some much needed pre-holiday prep.

shopafrolic · 06/07/2016 09:48

Say hi to Tim Mara love that you're going back. I'm there next Wednesday. Glad last night was fun.

lib sorry to hear you are missing the assembly. Glad your DH will take lots of photos. Your outfit sounds nice.

I have a couple of mulberry bags. I'm not overly precious about them and they are all well used. Any marks I put down to giving them 'character' Grin

maradesbois · 06/07/2016 16:12

Shop he chopped quite a bit off so now just below shoulder length, am really happy with it. Mentioned balayage for next time but am not sure about dyed hair, will see. Had to take ds with me but he was good as gold, charmed the girls, did some colouring and played with the dog!

AmberNectarine · 06/07/2016 17:22

Erm, where was my invite?! Wink

libertydoddle · 06/07/2016 17:59

Sorry amber. Mara and I were meeting so I could borrow her bag and she had already arranged a thing with sleep so I tagged into that. We should get another MU or mini MU's booked in.

I feel like it should be Friday afternoon, has been such a full on week already....

mara have you had glycolic peel before? Do you recommend them?

AmberNectarine · 06/07/2016 18:19

Only messing lib, though I'm always game for a mini MU!

shopafrolic · 06/07/2016 20:13

Lib the salon in my village does acid peels with microdermabrasion and no downtime. Much cheaper than London. You could bring DD here for a play date with DS and book an appointment. Let me know if you want more info.
Mara pic of you have time. So pleased you're happy. Always a risk recommending a hairdresser. I should be on commission though - I've sent at least ten newbies his way who keep going back :)
We need another MU in the diary. Something in the school hols perhaps? On a weekend? Something to save my sanity. A recreation of our scorching hot Primrose Hill MU of a few years back? Who's about in August?
