Ooh, are you considering one dry?

AmberNectarine · 04/07/2016 07:45

Caviar leather is more hard wearing. I do love it, but it's not wearing that well. Mine is calfskin and the corners are starting to show wear. Also I had to have it repaired after 3m when the popper came right off, and it took 2 months!

Dreamqueen · 04/07/2016 11:17

Morning all.
No S&B going on with me. I'm on hols and all my angst about packing a capsule wardrobe was in vain. So far I've thrown all attempts at stylish beach outfits out the window. We are in a tiny Sardinian town with 1 bar/restaurant so I'm making the most of no make up and skinning around in beachwear.
I need to catch up on the thread but find it difficult on my phone.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/07/2016 11:25

hello all.

i am currently at mil's until dp can sort some time off as i am very much struggling for two reasons, 1)because i have broken my wrist and i can't really do much or go anywhere as i have to try and keep the weight off it as much as i can and 2) i have been and still am very low, lots of reasons but i am finding it very hard to cope right now so i am at mil's for a bit of a rest where i don't have to do anything but sit in the garden or watch tv, just to have a rest

shopafrolic · 04/07/2016 11:47

Sorry to hear you are feeling low One - glad you're getting a change of scenery and can be looked after. Take care Flowers

Sending you hugs one. FlowersFlowers

maradesbois · 04/07/2016 13:06

Morning,

Yes, big hugs to you One, rest up and hope your dp can sort out new flat for you soon. Long term separation is hard Flowers

QueenC Flowers to you too, hope you're feeling a bit brighter today.

Dry loving your red moment and your commitment to exercise, waterproof mascara Grin

. Swoon, that is for me the epitome of elegance. Have a big black tie event in October but not looking yet, want to lose several more kgs first.

Yesterday I staged a Vogue-worthy intervention with a delivery man. My nap package was due for delivery this morning which was a pain re waiting in but on the way to park with ds yesterday I saw dhl van in the street (our local driver) and held him up like a mad waving highway woman and asked him to kindly check if my package was in the van which it was. I had to go round all afternoon with the big box under my arm but worth it, both shoes and bag are keepers will link a pic later.

shopafrolic · 04/07/2016 17:29

Tell me what you know about ModeSens please ladies?
I was having a look at their website and thought I would register. When I keyed in my email address to set an account up it said I was already registered. Were they previously something else?

QueenC would love one, could put it on my list for DH.

AmberNectarine · 04/07/2016 20:10

Sorry to hear that one, really hope things improve for you Flowers

I bought a couple of bits shop might like today: this blazer and this shirt dress. Also had a rush of blood to the head and ordered a latex bralet to wear under silk shirts on nights out - let's see how that goes!

Longislandicetee · 04/07/2016 20:30

one really sorry to hear you're feeling low, I was actually thinking of you earlier today. Big Flowers to you and anyone else struggling. I know when I was struggling a couple of months ago, this thread was light relief.

I took the day off today, something I should do more often. I didn't go anyway but just bummed around and sorted through some mundane stuff. I have been really silly and for first time in 18 months I got out of habit of taking my iron supplements for about 10 days. Unfortunately it's been a horrid reminder of what the anaemic version of me is like. Self inflicted idiocy!

I think I am almost there on present choice for sil. Think I am going to go with the big Hermès clic clac. I now need to pick colour.

Different problem now.....ideas for a male friend with a big birthday. he also likes a bit of glam. Ideas there would be welcomed with open arms!Grin

shopafrolic · 04/07/2016 21:03

Amber love both of those
No ModeSens users here then?

Stokey hope your dh is on the mend very soon.

Dream sounds dreamy Grin

One sounds tough, hope you are ok

Mara love it when stuff like that happens, with NaP deliveries or Ocado.

Blingy sounds like just the thing

Shop no I haven't I'm afraid

QueenC1 · 04/07/2016 22:29

Never heard of them shop. But you should definitely get ambers blazer but not a latex bra
*dream thanks for your reply pm
one hugs to you. Hope mil is looking after you. Horrid to be feeling down.
That was fate mara.
dry what are you thinking of? Classic flap/2.55 black, black gold hardware? amber I cannot believe that it's wearing already. At least if I had one I would be too scared to use it and therefore it would never get ruined Grin

Drywhitethanks · 05/07/2016 07:43

Yup Queeenc, for me it would have to be gold hardware and a classic.....but not sure whether I want handbag or jewelerry, neat to get something I'd use a lot, daily pref which is why in erring towards a watch.

maradesbois · 05/07/2016 08:19

Morning,

Dry remembering our conversation at the mu I think the watch you talked about is the most special present and something you can enjoy every day. Classic Chanel bag would be amazing too. Nice decision to have to make. Have no idea what dh has got for my big bday, all he's said is 'not what you may expect' which am not sure is a good sign!

Aargh, school summer holidays have started already here, got woken by being jumped on at 7.20 by ds demanding to be entertained 'what are we doing today?' Making sculptures from the recycling box while I research my thesis/drink coffee and wake up slowly messing about on MN.

Shop never heard of it I'm afraid.

Blingy good call. I have a medium sized white enamel one with gold metal and a big cuff with silver and would say the medium easier to wear. Inspired by your posts I did get the black one out last night though for posh drinks in Mayfair. Mil wears a medium red/gold click clack stacked with a thin patterned red and gold one which look good together plus you can hear her coming from a mile off with all the jangling Grin

Dream holiday sounds perfect, enjoy!

HappyGirlNow · 05/07/2016 08:36

amber love that Topshop blazer so much I have ordered - thanks for the link!

2nd last day at work today, finish up tomorrow.. On the train hating ever second so it makes it all the sweeter. Still feeling rough after a very heavy weekend including leaving drinks (have a team lunch tomorrow but a Wednesday didn't seem very good for drinks) and I am going to see Beyoncé on Thursday and busy Friday..

one sorry you are feeling low, life is hard sometimes..

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 08:45

You're welcome happy!

Dug out my multicoloured R&B quilty which some of you may remember from the MU last summer. I do like this bag, very summery and a really good size.

Queen, I know. Definitely caviar next time!

Vaguely planning a nice treat for myself at bonus time. Wondering about getting a Boy bag or maybe a personalised Neverfull. Or shoes. Lots of lovely shoes. Basically I have no idea!

libertydoddle · 05/07/2016 09:06

dry, I think a watch. Chanel bag would be lovely but you wouldn't use daily. But agree with the others, lovely decision.

I have sandals on but it looks like rain dammit!

libertydoddle · 05/07/2016 09:08

happy second last day at work! Fantastic!!

amber you have wanted a boy bag for ages enables

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 05/07/2016 10:22

thank you everyone. i'll be okay, just need a bit of time out i guess, things have just built up tot he point i've kinda freaked out a bit. anyway, i'll be fine when ive had soem rest and relaxation time

amber get the boy, do it do it do it

dry a watch might be better suited if it's something you want to use daily

Thanks for all

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/07/2016 11:11

blingy clic clack looks good. I might have to put one of those on my wish list!

Flowers for one hopefully the rest will do you good.

happy yay! Second to last day! Hope it goes fast. Enjoy all the drinks!

amber I love looking for bonus treats. Alas mine was spent on ikea furniture this time. Hmm

AmberNectarine · 05/07/2016 14:17

I know, but they're almost £4K which borders on the obscene even by my standards!

maradesbois · 05/07/2016 15:24

Yay Happy, enjoy your sendoff

Amber you could get hermès for that and virtually indestructible but maybe too conservative for you plus the terrible service etc to deal with.

On my way into uni today popped into my local whistles for first time ever to check out sale. Don't like the £££ high st places usually, would rather spend the money on Outnet but picked up this dress, a linen gem for hols. It looks like a potato sack here but is fitted over the chest then flares out further down so not unflattering.

shopafrolic · 05/07/2016 16:38

I'm loving Whistles at the moment Mara
Have my eye on some fab shoes but too ££ at the moment.
Happy and Amber can you let me know on sizing on that jacket? It is fab but not sure how often I would get to wear it....... Perhaps I'll try and head to a store to try on. Amber can you send me a pic of you in it when you get it?
Did my reformer pilates today - loving it so much. Came home and showered, and then did the school run in my Whistles dress and Zara espadrilles with cream Zatchel bag.
What's everyone wearing in this hit and miss weather?
