Things that cover knees and shoulders Fedup. I quite like thin shirts and long skirts - either midi or maxi - with a vest underneath. Have a lovely holiday.

I'm wearing my cobalt "Good Days Ahead" sweatshirt - hope it doesn't make me look like a Brexiter!

Drywhitethanks · 27/06/2016 18:25

Wow QueenC I live that burgundy lace top, beautiful and a fab colour.

Blair what a shame, beautiful car though.

I'm so excited...I've been invited to an autumn wedding in a castle....with a moat Grin and its a hat do! Smile Yipee, my favourite outfit option, if I could wear a hat/dress/heels combo every day I would.......could wear something I have already my Ascot outfit from last year, loved that hat so much...even though it gave me a head ache but I think if I fall in love with something I might treat myself because I need a dress for my birthday at the end of the year.........

Drywhitethanks · 27/06/2016 18:26

Gosh, just realised it wasn't last year....2 years ago, where has the time gone? Confused

MarshaBrady · 27/06/2016 19:51

Sounds brilliant Dry, I remember a fab wedding in a Scottish castle once

FedupNagging · 27/06/2016 20:07

Ooo that sounds exciting Dry - a great excuse to go to town with the outfit.

Everyone I find Boden petite a good fit on me-I've 'voluptous' thighs too Gin and so long as the fabric isn't too thin they look fine. I wear richmond crops, chino's and my favourite the ankle zip jeans. Also look at Banana Republic as they have a good selection of styles for all shapes.

Stokey I have a s/s cardigan which I thought I could wear over the strappy maxi dresses. Am also taking a large cotton scarf as a cover up.

Topazandpearl · 27/06/2016 21:29

Lovely, lovely car Blair, I hope the memory of that awful episode is fading fast.

I hope today went well shop.

Perfect opportunity, Dry, to indulge in your favourite type of dressing up!

Holiday outfits sound good fedup. I find myself making a beeline for JL loved & found section. Current reductions are good and there is quite a lot in natural fibres.

maradesbois · 27/06/2016 23:13

Evening,

Dry castle wedding sounds amazing, so fancy and indeed so you!

to Topaz. Was around your neck of the woods at the weekend.

My sympathies to those of you affected by floods, we had a big leak last week, water was pouring into the living room and school closed but no lasting damage.

Blair oh no poor you. Have lost countless hours of my life to waiting for breakdown trucks in the middle of nowhere thanks to petrolhead dh. Car looks great though.

Wish somebody would buy this dress. Gorgeous but too small for me although have lost half a stone over last few weeks and motivated to keep going for another. The weight crept up slowly and took me by surprise that it's of my summer clothes don't fit but am not buying anything new, can do this!

Fedup I second what Stokey said. Maybe midi skirts better than maxi as you are petite.

Dreamqueen · 28/06/2016 08:12

happy Hols Fedup, I go on Friday. I got the hol clothes out to sort through this morning & I have realised that I should have paid more attention to the pre hol diet [embarrassed] My plans of looking trim in a bikini never really got going thanks to too many gins and nights out.

My feet have started to swell & do weird things as soon as they hit hot climates. I'm going to town this morning to look for the perfect holiday footwear. Any suggestions welcome?

libertydoddle · 28/06/2016 10:40

Fitflops Dream are best holiday footwear IMO.

Stokey · 28/06/2016 13:26

Ordered a Hush jumpsuit on 25/6 and now they're doing 20% off. Do you think I can cancel & reorder? Or just send it back?

shopafrolic · 28/06/2016 14:23

Give their CS a call Stokey they are normally quite helpful - ask if they'll honour the discount and if not, then reorder and send the other one back.

Any top tips on Zara footwear sizing? Are they usually TTS?

OP posts:
HappyGirlNow · 28/06/2016 16:35

shopafrolic · 28/06/2016 17:23

QueenC1 · 28/06/2016 17:34

dry sounds great for you. Can I look at dresses for you?

I ordered this. Lovely top but looks awful on me!

Drywhitethanks · 28/06/2016 17:54

QueenC you have 3 months to come up with the goods! Grin......need hat remember that one you pinned for me for Blair's wedding, loved that, you can go wild, I like to commit to a hat Grin but prefer height to width you know my colours and style.

shopafrolic · 28/06/2016 19:12

Finally got this dress sent to me in an XS (I am a UK12!). It's a keeper but talk about vanity sizing.

Can't see them on their website.. But would probs be more than I would pay for shoes anyway..

QueenC1 · 28/06/2016 22:22

Respect to her for pushing a buggy wraring those!

Whilst we are talking shoes can you talk to me about ballet flats....does anyone own expensive ones? I know marsha has lanvin. Anyone got repetto or similar? Basically I want to know if expensive ones last longer or whether at the end of the day they're just flimsy shoes like cheaper ones that only last a year...

dry I look forward to it. I'll have to start a pin board. Do I have a budget?

libertydoddle · 29/06/2016 06:55

QueenC both Blingy and dry have Russell and Bromley ballet flats.

Black tie update. I met one of the organisers yestetday and she said full length dress expected!!

Drywhitethanks · 29/06/2016 07:48

I have both R and B and French Sole ballet flats.....both have worn well although I have worn thr Fr S less.
I'll spend on the dress QueenC, need to think about budget......don't want to spend too much on the hat, £60 max perhaps, happy to hire
