Haha I laughed at QueenC and Lib with the Rossi's this morning and now can post. Have been out in town until 4 then at friends for a long time eating and drinking, just got back and dc need to go to bed! Was very good

Hello everyone. It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least. (Good and bad: on Thursday we celebrated DD's degree results- the least said about Friday the better). I distracted myself today with a little retail therapy, buying this summer dress in the sale. I think it will be great for holidays.

I also recently got the Office loafers in white (the ones that I think dry and shop have in red). They are so comfortable!

I love that boodles bracelet queen, the matching necklace would be good too!

I've distracted myself with some shopping too. I've had my eye on this, so with £50 off it seemed rude not too stars and thought I'd try this navy jacket as its half price reiss

Hi all. I spent the night in a recovery truck and got home at 6am

All went perfectly smoothly up until we were on our way back to the hotel in the evening after a fun drive around the Lakes... we got a puncture and then the tyre blew out. Our phones were dead and for various reasons neither of us had the breakdown cover number. (I had it in my other car!) So we had to walk to a petrol station and use their phone and wait ages. In the end we decided to go straight back instead of sleeping in the hotel, so that went to waste. Total nightmare! We've just been to Costco to order 2 new tyres but won't be able to get them put on the wheels until Thursday.

All I can say is thank goodness for breakdown cover. The guy said this was essentially a £1k recovery job...

Topaz lovely dress - JL have some great pieces in their loved and found collections although sadly everything I've tried on so far hasn't look right for one reason or another.

Dream is your m&s beauty box any good? I did an order a few days ago but the bb's were oos . Will definitely try hard to get the Xmas one if they do it again.

No style news today. Had friends over for a very casual BBQ - the rain just about held off for us.

Fedup I really like the beauty box. It has lots of mini product that will be good for takeing on holiday. I also got the one at Christmas & have used most of the products. Both were very good value, I think.

Love your new car blair it's absolutely gorgeous! Love it in the dark blue. Sorry you've not got off to the best of starts, but once you get the tyres you'll be able to get out and enjoy it.

We had a good weekend the Lakes. Grasmere is gorgeous and the hotel we stayed at was brilliant! But I ended up having a bit too much to drink (what is it about beer gardens???) and was very very rough yesterday.. In fact I will feel a little rough today.. Hey ho.. Will I ever learn?

Ootd is navy Boden 3/4 richmond trousers, cream zara s/s top, giant stripey blue/turq scarf and stans - have had a lot of temp work recently and today is the last day for a while.

Final holiday countdown is now on - we go Thurs. Need to sort out what I'm taking for the week in a beach hotel - have sorted the clothes for KL (linen dresses) and the roughing it bit (extremely stylish zip trousers and easi dri tops!). We're going to a predominately muslim country but Ramadan will be finished by the last week - any tips gratefully received.

fedup outfit sounds lovely. How do you find the Boden trousers? I'm on the look out for some black trousers but always seem to have problems, I'm 5'6 and a size 12 in bottoms and have largish thighs, so do you think the Richmond style would suit me?
