Am trying to compare and work out why I looked significantly better three years ago, aging aside the only thing I can think I did different is less water ... Could that really be it ?

Is sparkling water just as good for you? I love that, plain water is ok, but much prefer fizzy.

Buzzardbird · 12/05/2016 13:35

The downside of sparkling cheese is that it isn't great for your teeth.

I drink around 8 mugs of very weak blended tea a day and a couple of glasses of water.

Watch the colour of your pee though, if it is too pale, you are drinking too much. I definitely drink too much during the day according to the colour.

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 13:35

Sparkling is a bit more corrosive on the teeth (nothing as bad as sweet fizzy drinks though) but yes it's the same thing.

Cheese on the other hand is brilliant for your teeth 😁

Well over 2 litres. Usually far more.

No juice, fizz or alcohol. Just some tea then loads of water all day, carry a bottle with me wherever I go.

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 13:47

I can never be bothered carrying water around with me though.

notanothercheesesandwich · 12/05/2016 13:53

sparkling cheese might be my solution then Grin with a glass of tap water.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/05/2016 13:58

I have fairly recently started drinking at least 2 litres a day. Several people have commented on my skin.

So it could be the water or it could be the botox Wink

Buzzardbird · 12/05/2016 14:14

Have I just invented a new cheese snack? 😄

hollinhurst84 · 12/05/2016 14:15

Litres. I can get through 2-3L in a spin class

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 14:19

I don't think it's a good idea to drink 3l of water in an hour!

MalbecAndLindt · 12/05/2016 14:21

It's something I've really been trying to make an effort with lately. I've got a 500ml bottle which I fill up 3 times on average. One thing that really helps in when I infuse it with lime and lemon wedges. Easily drink loads then! Also drink approx 4-5 mugs of tea a day (normal and decaff). Plus with dinner, I like to have a couple of glasses of sparkling water with squash or cordial.

hollinhurst84 · 12/05/2016 14:22

Always have done but there's no air con and I sweat a LOT in there. If it's 30 mins I drink about a litre

Shinyshoes2 · 12/05/2016 14:24

I drink around 3 pints of plain tap water a day
Around 3 pints of squash . I don't knwp if that counts

idontlikealdi · 12/05/2016 14:26

About 3-3.5l plus coffee. Not sure it does anything for my skin but I feel shit if I don't, I get really bad headaches.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/05/2016 14:29

Probably 1.5-2L of plain water, and then some tea and coffee (depends on the day how much I get through!). Skin is pretty good. If I drink less I get very faint, I have low blood pressure.

mrsmortis · 12/05/2016 14:31

1.5 litres of caffeine containing stuff (diet coke, tea, etc), 1 litre of water (often sparkling but I'm in germany where it comes out of the cooler like that), plus 1 glass of juice and occasional alcohol.

notamummy10 · 12/05/2016 14:41

I try to drink at least 500ml a day, sometimes it is less and sometimes it is more but I'm not the greatest of drinkers. Sometimes i will have one drink all day, not good for my kidneys but it means I don't have to go to the toilet that often.

The other week, I think I had about 2L of water whilst I was doing an essay at uni! I went to the toilet about 5 times in a 10 hour period.

I do drink a lot of coffee, smoothies and fizzy drinks (trying to cut down though) as well.

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 14:48

Ooooh I'm jealous of the fancy Germanic coolers.

oldlaundbooth · 12/05/2016 15:01

I think water-drinking is a habit like any other - once you get into it it just becomes part of your routine. And I do think you pee less as you become accustomed to drinking more.

Does anyone think that sparkling water is less hydrating than non-sparkling?

I do.

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 15:03

But sparkling water feels so much more thirst quenchy to me. Wonderful for a hangover.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/05/2016 15:14

It is indeed Mitzy.

The more water I drink the more I want as well. The peeing thing does decrease too but I must confess I drink less if I am only near grotty loos.

lovetoskimum · 12/05/2016 16:15

Me too between 2 -3 litres a day, love my water and (prosecco !! :)

LotsOfShoes · 12/05/2016 16:20

About 1.5 litres of water + two-three cups of tea per day here. My lips start gettig dry and my skin is a bit duller over the next few days if I don't

gingerboy1912 · 12/05/2016 16:23

About 3 pints of water with Robinson peach barley squash. 1 coffee and about 3 cups of tea
