Am trying to compare and work out why I looked significantly better three years ago, aging aside the only thing I can think I did different is less water ... Could that really be it ?

Moosemama I think I had my sodium levels checked but it's got a lot worse since then. I'm back at the gp's next week so I'll be sure to check or ask for it to be repeated. Thank you. Flowers

Just read your earlier post moose I crave salt and some of my symptoms improve slightly when I eat it so I'll make sure to ask about that.

2-4 litres everyday and I love water and I think its helped my skin because though I don't smoke I drink alcohol and I think its been helping with my skin.

water and sleep are so underrated but are truly effective for good skin.

About 2L a day - 4 pint glasses. I wear contact lenses and they are noticeably drier if I drink less.

4 litres a day minimum. It's the only thing I drink, I don't like the taste of alcohol, tea, coffee, squash etc.

From a medical website:
A female bladder experiences a first desire to void at a volume of approximately 150 to 250 mL, a normal desire to void at 300 to 400 mL, and a strong desire to void at 400 to 600 mL.

So for every litre of liquid you drink, you would need to visit the toilet approximately 3 times, unless you're sweating profusely or breathing heavily. Plus you've got water in food: fresh fruit and veg are about 90% water. So say another litre at least in food. So people drinking 3-4 litres per day on top of food would be visiting the toilet about 15 times a day - that's every hour whilst awake. That would drive me crazy. To say nothing of the disruption in workplaces where people have to leave their sedentary desk jobs once an hour for a pee. Or do some people just have large bladders?Grin

About 2.5 litres a day. I don't drink tea or coffee, never have. Not a fan of squashes/cordials. Occasionally have a glass of orange juice. Once a week or so will have a can of fizzy - coke or something similar.

I find that I feel crappy if I don't drink enough water.

Bimblepops · 17/05/2016 11:16

And I don't go to the toilet 15 times a day...I would say 7 or 8 times, which seems fine, doesn't disrupt anything.

icouldabeenacontender · 17/05/2016 14:46

I think I may need to drink more.
I only pee about 3 times a day.

FashionLover1 · 17/05/2016 15:17

1.5-2.5 litres, just going to loo is a pain :)

bigbuttons · 17/05/2016 17:22

if I up my liquid intake even by 3 glasses I find I am constantly going to the loo. I suppose my body isn't used to it. Presumably this changes as time goes by?
